I stopped in today for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by being seated immediately. The menu was adequate and the Cellentani Torino was excellent! Service was great. The only downfall was the location of my seat, right next to the step down into the dinning area. The old wooden floor left a bit to be desired and my food and wine both shook with each passing person. I’ll definitely go back, but ask for different seating. Maybe outside as they have a great patio!

I had dinner with a friend and his fiancé on May 20,2016 at Ipp’s in Woodstock, Ga. My friend, being Italian as myself, told me not to expect a lot from the«Italian Restaurants» in Georgia. The rolls were nice and fresh and hot, but the so called marinara they served was more like tomato sauce. I had a good side salad with balsamic but when the pasta cam, spaghetti sauce and meatballs, the sauce was bland and missing spices such as basil or oregano and the meatballs were mostly bread crumbs. I have made many a pasta dishes and this was s not Italian. I am from families from Northern Italy and Sicily and this did not compare to any of the dishes my relatives made. I believe it was probably canned and the Parmesan cheese was not fresh as it had cellulose added which you can tell by taste. Don’t hope for authentic, just bypass and get Chinese.

I really really want to like this place. I live in downtown Woodstock and am not a huge fan of Vingenzo’s only because I like more basic, southern Italian food, so it’s nice that I have that option down here. However, I have continued to be let down by the service I receive every single time I go. It ranges from never seeing our server even in an empty restaurant to a server shoving a scalding hot plate into my hands instead of setting it down in front of me. Most of the food is unfortunately just average. Sauce tastes like its out of a can, meatballs are extremely bland, and I’m pretty sure they use an entire stick of butter in everything they make. The lasagna is extremely delicious though and so are the garlic knots! Note to the management: gotta step up your training process. I’m a server myself, so I usually let the little things slide because, hey, I’ve been there. However, there’s really no excuse for continuing to get awful service. In my opinion, if the service doesn’t improve, this place doesn’t have very much longer until it crashes.

garlic rolls, chicken parm and calamari are delicious… some of the servers have an attitude but I like the atmosphere and will return… the best sauce is the vodka-like sauce… the meatballs are a disaster and unedible.

Killer garlic knots(brought them out as soon as we sat down) — DELICIOUS pizza(try the Greek). Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Would recommend for lunch as they have a great lunch menu as well. I don’t usually rate 5 stars — they got it going on!

Had great hopes for this place but disappointed, sadly. Dined there during Restaurant week. Veal was raw in several places. Apps & entrees were delivered together so entrée was cold by the time it was eaten. Plenty of seafood chunks in bisque, but overall taste seemed more like chicken soup than bisque. Nice folks there and I’m sure they could have done better.

Free pillowy chunks of garlic goodness. Yes I’m talking about their garlic rolls. Marinara that comes with them is awesome. Good food, good service and reasonable prices make this a place to return to.

Their garlic rolls are so yummy. I had the chicken blt wrap which was very good. Our to go order was ready when they said that it would be. One downfall of this restaurant is the parking situation. The parking in the rear of the restaurant is impossible to get in. You do not have enough room to back up. Also they often forget things so if you get it to go be sure to check your order before you leave. Another negative is if you get your order towards their closing time, the rolls are cold and not that yummy.

Great place, everyday has a good special. We have gotten many different kinds of pizza, all ingredients are always fresh a delicious. Only reason not a five star, parking can be a problem, since it is good and a good value, can be slow.

We were there last night and I must say it has gone down hill over the last few months quickly. Last night our waiter shows up at the table sits they dirty plate with the half eaten desert and wants our drink order. The drinks arrive he returns and puts his hands on. The table and leans on it to take our order. Then some kid just drops off the food no words nothing… Looking around it looks like they have opted to hire a bunch of inexperienced kids with zero adult management. We did see the same poor inexperienced service so it was not just our waiter. We finally saw what we believe to be the manager outside in front yapping away on her cell phone. The food was good as always but it’s not a place we will return too. If we want Italian we will go down to Ipolitos and hope it’s better.

Ipps was good. Went with friends and had to wait only a short period of time. We each ordered a dish and should have shared since they were large portions. We had spaghetti, fettuccine, and a pizza. They were all great! And we all had good leftovers. Service just needs to be a little better.

I had the tilapia, which was delicious, but the grilled chicken with spinach was frankly underwhelming. The interior has a lot of character and the staff is friendly but not very professional. The rolls are delicious but have to be horrible for your waistline. This place has four star potential but they need to amp up the menu and whip the laid-back hipster staff into some semblance of professionalism.

A couple of friends and myself decided to eat at Ipps. It was good but not amazing. First, they don’t accept reservations which is truly annoying – especially when one of us is pregnant. Our wait was 20 minutes which isn’t terrible. Still annoyed by though because we’ve had this planned for a month. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I ordered manicotti– it was ok. I’ve definitely had better. My friends each orders chicken parm with fetuccini Alfredo. They seemed to like theirs. The rolls are very very good though. I’d come here again just for the rolls. I also got tiramisu. It was definitely not traditional sliced cake. It was more like a scooped casserole. Kind of weird. Because of this it didn’t get the good flavors the traditionally layered confection offers. Mine is much better. I won’t get it again. Overall I’d eat here again– the Prices aren’t bad but would order something different.

This is average pasta with not great service. I’ve been let down three consecutive times with the service, but I love the rolls, the pizzas are good and so is the sausage quesadilla appetizer. I’ve called in the quesadilla for pick up twice since my trio of bad service… it’s that good and the only reason I gave this place three stars. Sorry Ipps

Food was excellent — Great service and we very much appreciated the 10% discount on our food for attending the theater a block away. Theater — Elm Street Culture Center. We had lunch just before. We were able to leave our cars at the restaurant and walk over to the theater. Very nice. Prices are very reasonable and great atmosphere, as well. Highly recommend– can’t wait to go back here! Oh, the bread brought to the table — perfection!

This was my first visit to Ipps. I was happily surprised on how GREAT the food was. It is very reasonably price. I was not happy with the table that we were first seated at. When I asked if we could move our server Jordan was very accommodating. The baked manicotti was fantastic and of course the rolls were out of this world. PS. Parking can be difficult in Woodstock but, not at IPP’s they have their own parking lot. Definite plus!
