Despite the family-friendly ambiance, I wasn’t very satisfied with the food and the service. I had the crispy chicken wrap and it was alright. I was, however, disappointed with the fries. They were bland and not crispy. Although i know that the server was trying her best, she failed to fulfill our needs(such as refilling the water in a timely manner) and recommend good ice cream flavors(we wanted pistachio and she recommended butter pecan, which didn’t even make sense). They also took super long to get us our food. 2 stars overall.

Everyone was kind and friendly. Except my waitress Lisa… it took 17 minutes to ask if I wanted a refill. I felt as though because I was eating alone she couldn’t be bothered. Then right at the front counter she yelled at her co-worker about placing patrons in the wrong area. There were about three other tables seated that turned to look as she called her stupid and told her she didn’t know what she was doing. I’m baffled… everyone else very nice.

I so rarely write a one star review… Here goes… Upon entering this over crowded and under staffed establishment, two things immediately threw red flags. The first was an almost vinegary but very overpowering smell, the second was the flies. Lord, the flies. We were seated right away(YAY) but waited fifteen minutes before even being offered drinks(boo). Then she rushed us into ordering while taking our drink orders. I asked for a small drink and received an almost condescending but certainty not polite«we only have one size drink.» It was in a tone that screamed«You should know that already stupid customer!» Fine, I’ll take that… The flies kept circling and then there was another mystery smell of putrid body odor. I’m not trying to be mean, but it turned out to be one of the servers. Every time they walked by the smell of B.O. wafted past and the flies followed. They were actually congregating on the server’s back at one point. The smell put me off my overly fatty meaty sandwich… Then my child uttered the words that I was dreading… «I have to go to the bathroom.» *cue ominous music* Admittedly, I am a germophobe. Public bathrooms freak me out. But this one??? It was like a third world country. We walked in and it absolutely REEKED of urine… The only available stall looked like it had pee in the toilet so I flushed it… Nope, the«clean» water was just yellow and the pee smell stayed. We barely saw our server again until it was time for the check and I have had some HORRIBLE service, but this was the first time I actually tipped less than 20%. The place was packed, it stunk, I saw other people waiting for a table the entire length of our ill fated lunch and oh yeah, the food SUCKED… Never again. Ever.

Not a good visit. I had guests from out of state and was embarrassed. It took forever(more than ½ hour) after ordering to get our lunch. Burgers were overcoked and dry(asked for medium). Fries and desserts were OK, but ice cream spoons were not clean. Our server was great — I understand these problems weren’t her fault — but I would not go here again.

Sad to write a 1 star review because I love Friendly’s. I’m not wasting my time writing this so here it is — service was slower than slow, neighboring tables stayed dirty the entire time we were there, my wife literally just spent 30 minutes puking and I feel like I’m about to join her. The only mutual thing we ate was the appetizer so that must have been bad. Ugh. Ugh. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh.

The food is standard Friendlys fare, BUT the service that we have experienced multiple times is pretty atrocious. After getting our drinks and orders, we never saw our server until we paid. She never came and got our desert order and we had to flag someone down to get THAT. A quick lunch turned into a 1.5 hour affair. Waitstaff was nice enough but the service moved at glacial speed.

My boyfriend and I went there tonight. I got a pastrami melt, that I loved the last time I went to a Friendlys but not so much this time. There was barely any pastrami and had no taste. My boyfriend had a cajun burger that was extremely dry. He had a ton of jalapeños on it and it still couldn’t mask the bad taste of the burger he said. We both agreed that both dishes tasted like nursing home food. Not only did the food suck but the waitress took our order and didn’t see her again until we were ready for the check. I work and have worked in plenty of restaurants and your job is to make sure guest are satisfied.

This is your typical Friendlys but a much nicer décor than any I have been to. Unfortunately this was by far the worst service I have had. I am always amazed how friendlys employees are notorious for screwing up and provoding yerrible service buy this waitress tops my list foe bad service. Our waitress took a while to come take our drink order when she did we were ready to order everything. Our munchies mania appetizer came quickly and our lunch followed shortly after. The cook forgot the sauces for our app so our waitress brought those and then we didn’t see her again until the end of our meal. Someone else brought our food to us. The burger my husband ordered was missing bacon buy after waiting 5 min to try to get out waitresses attention he didn’t want to wait any longer. We never saw her for the rest of our meal except when I looked out the window and saw her smoking a cigarette. We both needed refills of our sodas but had no waitress to ask so I had to resort to pulling a water bottle out of my purse. She finally came at end of our meal to take ice cream order and at this time we asked for refills a diet coke and sprite and our ice cream to go… what did we get. I coke a regular coke instead of diet and my husband got a diet coke instead of sprite. When he said this she just said sorry didn’t offer to bring a sprite and never did bring one. Then our ice cream came and it was not in a to go container!!! Her response«I have such a migraine»!!! Are you serious at this point I was disgusted a migraine is no excuse to screw up everything and pay no attention to your table. To top it off the bacon we never got we were charged for so that was taken off. Good luck to anyone going here I hope your waitress doesn’t blame their screw ups on a migraine.

This location is situated in the far left hand side of the outlet mall, across from Ruby Tuesday’s; you can park in the side parking lot for easier access. The restaurant is not as big as the location in Milford. Friendly service but a little slow. Kids meals are an excellent deal here. Senior specials are honored here. However, no breakfast is served as this location.

I’d like to say my review could be rounded out with some thoughts on the food. Sorry, we didn’t get that far. Within seconds of crossing through the door, we were told to leave our stroller outside. I’m perfectly fine with this. We only needed to be told about the policy and given a chance to follow it. The problem was the flippant hostess’ attitude. I wish I had gotten her name. With so few good food choices in this shopping area you would think they’d try harder to make a good impression.

Stopped in with two kids(9 and 11) for lunch and ice cream. Usually avoid this place due to the congestion of the outlet mall and the crowds, but the kids wanted ice cream. Waited about 15 minutes for an open table — place was crowded. We ended up a nice booth, had an attentive server. Both kids ordered a tier 2 kids meal — basket of chicken fingers(4 on skewers, fries and sauces), plus a fountain drink and a make-it-yourself 3 scoop sundae. Chicken was ample, not dried out and fries, well, they were fries… We also ordered a basket of onion rings, which were not too greasy, ample portion of various sizes — real onion rings, not compressed onion bits. I had a chicken sandwich, which was typical, not bad meal, plus a $ 5 coupon. Place was pretty crowded during the lunch hour, but the staff seemed attentive and were turning the tables over. Waiting area was crowded. Nothing was sticky or dirty as these places usually get pretty sticky from the ice cream. Will come back when I am not fearful of the outlet crowd.

I came in tonight 10 minutes before closing, the cashier still was very nice and took my order. There was one girl in front of me and it took awhile before she could tend to me, but once she took my order, things happened pretty quickly. I ordered buffalo wings(my safe«go to» food) and asked for clam chowder as well, the cashier said they don’t have clam chowder at that hour, but the buffalo wings were ready in about 5 minutes! When I came back to my hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by the quantity of wings, the celery sticks were fresh too, and they included ranch dressing as well. The meal was $ 9.99 pre-tax, this was a win for me! So glad I saw a commercial of Friendly’s on tv last night! This was a perfect way to end my shopping trip to the Wrentham outlet.

I’ve come here dozens of times over the last three years. As a server, I have an extreme amount of understanding for what is and is not the server’s fault. But I have to say, the service here is the worst I’ve ever seen anywhere. Every time. I come back because the food is cheap and the ice cream is good. But NO. The service is EXTREMELY slow no matter what their situation is. I recall my first time the waitress making an inappropriate comment on how quickly I ate my food. Mostly, we go out of our way to drive an extra 25 minutes to the Walpole location where the service is so much better. I am writing today because I went to get ice cream to-go and they closed an hour early.

Woman on the counter said somebody will be right to us in a second. After watching staff and minutes come and go we went out. So did the two couples behind us.

This is my favorite Friendly’s in the area — yes I know the food is somewhat terrible and the service is terribly slow, but my kids love it and that’s good enough for me :). Staff try really hard and go the extra mile.

Okay service but the food itself tasted horrible! Food made me terribly sick the next morning. Burger gave my husband a headache. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Food was pretty unremarkable. I got a fried chicken dinner with mashed potatoes. In hindsight, I probably should have tried their ice cream since that’s what they’re known for. Staff was nice, no complaints as far as service goes.

Going to Friendly’s once in awhile for a quick cheap meal brings me back to my childhood. However, although I do believe most all locations need a revamp and update in style to keep the crowds coming, this Wrentham Friendly’s is one of the first that should be tended to. The inside is almost always dirty when I’ve gone in. The employees certainly aren’t the best Friendly’s has to offer, with the exception of a couple. The food isn’t even decent, like many other locations I’ve visited over the years. I stick with the Fribbles and ice cream here and NEVER eat in. Oh also, it’s always good when you’re waiting for your take-out and a grouchy ill-mannered hostess/waitress brushes by you and lights up a butt halfway out the door, only to stand in front of the outside order windows and smoke it as customers go in & out. Classy.

Its a friendly’s in a crowded outlet mall — expect overly tired and stressed parents, bored kids, and overworked staff. Despite this, the servers do a great job at keeping a smile — but don’t expect fast service. Honestly, its a three star place — except I got really bored of listening to the non-serving staff(bus-people?) complaining. constantly. Right next to me.

I wish I had something better to say about this place. I was at Wrentham and after a long day. there aren’t too many choices. The food court sucks. and there really is only a Ruby Tuesday or food stands… we felt like ice cream as it was hot and muggy. The only other choices are to drive from your parking spot to the outside restaurants. That’s not convenient. so we just stopped by here. This place is packed. which is misleading. Host and waitstaff are pretty awful. We were asked to sit at the bar. which would have been fine except they asked us to move three times. We waited almost 15 minutes for any service. Everything came out very slowly and not at once. I would get my dessert drink. and then my friend had to wait five minutes. The rootbeer float was good except she ignored me when I asked her to put only one scoop instead of three scoops of ice cream. I wanted to cut the calories. The clam strip entrée was crappy. so were the loaded fries. They never asked us how the food was… I am sure people will still go as there aren’t too many options in Wrentham.
