Service is absolutely horrible. We waited and waited just to get noticed after the hostess seated us. We finally got the attention of another waitress but we weren’t in her section. Never again will we grace their doors, just to be ignored. As far as the food goes so not worth even getting a one star.

The Shari’s in Yakima on Fruitvale has always been a favorite of ours. We have been here twice in the past month and both times were terrible. Steak over cooked, desserts poorly served and unappetizing, service terrible, item that should have been free on our card not taken off and when hostess asked she shrugged and said she couldn’t do anything about it. Will not be back.

The country fried steak breakfast is usually pretty spot on. The hash browns taste a lot better without sour cream and e-z cheese.

Simply the worst customer service. The«hostess» needs to take a few classes — «Learn How to greet Customers 101» would be a good place to start. Sitting 7 adults in a corner booth when there were MANY options available made no sense, but the hostess insisted we sit there. I actually had to argue with her about seating arrangements at which point she threw a small fit in setting up our table. She was very dismissive and non-caring that we had 2 elderly people(80+) with our group and acted as if she was doing us a favor by accommodating our group. When I asked to speak to the manager, she stated that she was«one of them.» I told her that her attitude and customer service were just terrible and she responded with the tone of and 8 year old, «Sorrryyyyy!» We will never dine here again. The restaurant is dirty — VERY dirty and not well managed.

Good food here but the service is totally lacking. We come here about once a month because we have consistently had good food at reasonable prices. Each time However, the service gets worse. Today’s visit topped the stack with bad service. We waited a half hour on a glass of tea and there was only 3 other couples in the restaurant. I am hoping management will seriously take it to heart and teach their staff how to provide customer service.

Went here last night with a group of friends and I’m still paying for it. I hate this sharis location. The evening manager has nasty habit of talking disrespectfully to the teenage kids that come in here at night for coffee. Any one from Yakima knows kids here could be doing worse than enjoying coffee with friends instead of out on the streets getting into trouble. Ive seen her rudely talk down to kids to clear them out when the restaurant couldn’t have been more empty. I’ve seen her yell at kids a number of times and called the DM to complain and they told me that she does it because she doesn’t have kids and doesn’t know what it’s like to raise them. Apparently that also allows her to have little to no regard for customers under 18 and entitles her to get hostile with teenagers. Back to last night, the food took FOREVER. Parts of the order weren’t even completed. We never got our sodas we ordered, and they still kept them on the bill to charge us for them after the meal. The men’s bathroom was filthy. There was also an incredibly disrespectful table next to us, two young men who kept heckling people who walked by their table and the staff did nothing. All the manager seemed to want to do is make disparaging remarks to her servers. The woman is a bully. No other way to put it. I guess she looks after other bullies. I ordered a the Baja chipotle chicken sandwich and have gotten the worst food poisoning of my life. I’ve had terrible diarrhea and vomiting all day. I’m dehydrated from the loss of fluids. I’m considering going to my doctor at this point. Like I said, I hate this sharis location, but after the ordeal of this food poisoning and last night’s repeat of terrible service, I’m saying good bye to Sharis for good.

Shari’s could be a great place: big and roomy; lots to choose from on the menu and locations all over the dang place. But something is wrong. Maybe it is attention to details. Had their pie about two years ago(yes I know I’m tardy) at the Bothell location which is gone now and it was awful. I mean do you not advertise your business as big into pie? Then be great at it or shut the hell up! Also with the pie was the terrible terrrible coffee. Come on people. When you can’t get a decent slice of pie and coffee at a ‘pie place’ then what’s the point? My next visit was to the Yakima location where I ordered thick cut French toast. I love thick cut French toast. So soft, fluffy and thick with powdered sugar and golden brown. Perfect comfort food. I wasn’t comforted. The slices were regular thin cut bread and not very pleasingly plated either. They were of all different thicknesses like when you get home and find your loaf of bread was smooshed by a bottle of ketchup. So I asked my(very nice) server and she said they made it with Texas Toast bread. Ok well then what happened? Never did find out. I will still go there ’cause sometimes Shari’s is all there is in some places or the best bet anyway. But I won’t go out of my way. Just sayin’.

Very slow service, just to get coffee and or water. Slow to send a server. Not very enthusiastic or friendly, and not very attentive. Refills took way to long and seemed as they were a chore. The eggs benedict was totally without flavor and Bavarianb burger not very flavorfull. Way overpriced not so much on the entre but coffeed and juicenear 5 bucks for juice that was small glass and slow to get there Not very good probably wont go back.

The service is great! Always friendly and constantly checking up on us without making it awkward or annoying. I love the FREE wifi which is handy when waiting for the food. I love the French toast, my favorite, as well as their sandwiches. I love coming here to do homework. Being that it is open 24 hours a day!

First, let me say that I LOVE a good diner, and, generally, chain diners, like Denny’s, Shoni’s, Village Inn, The Kettle, and Sahri’s, normally, leave me a bit flat. On a good day, I would give them 2 stars. Then, last month, I made a trip from Olympia to Yakima.(5 hour drive) Just me, and Echo, my service dog(in training). For the State of Washington’s American Legion Convention(I am the conductor of the State’s Band). It was the longest road trip in her life. The first time she had ever stayed in a motel. I had not taken her to a restaurant, in a while. … Echo was«stressed out» from beginning to end. There was a Shari’s in the parking lot of the hotel we were staying at(this Shari’s). On Friday, of the Convention, I had a full morning, and Echo had to stay in her crate. … I had a short lunch break. I needed to take care of her, and get some food. I came back to the motel. Got her some water, took her out for a walk, and then, my stomach started growling. … She had her«Service Dog In Training» vest on, … so, we went to Shari’s, together. Getting into the restaurant, and being seated was NOPROBLEM. Getting to our seats was a challenge. It seems that most of my Band had come to Shari’s for lunch, AND they were seated between the door and where Echo and I were seated. So, getting to our seats was a BIG production. EVERYONE near my band members had to get a good look at Echo(Echo is a «smooth» collie … «Lassie» was a rough collie. … Think Lassie with short hair. … Most people mistake her for some kind of greyhound mix.), ask about her breed, and the story about how I ended up with her(it’s a GOOD story, but I’m not going to tell it now). So, getting to our table took a while. By the time we got there, all of the employees KNEW who Echo was. At this point, the wait staff at most restaurants, do one of several things: a) talk to me and don’t acknowledge the dog; b) treat us both as pariahs; c) try to treat Echo as if she were their pet. … Of the three choices above, «a» is the best choice, because, in this situation, Echo is «at work». Our waitress(excuse my spelling, because it is probably wrong) was a young woman named Chris. Chris was AWESOME! She chose a 4th option. She treated Echo as if Echo was my «significant other», who chose for me to order for her! Chris brought Echo a bowl of water when she brought my drink. She asked me if Echo was having anything, when I ordered my lunch. If anything, she kept closer watch on Echo’s water bowl than my drinks. … and she did a good job staying on top of my drinks! — As we were preparing to leave, I saw her pull the manager off to the side and talk to him.(He had not been in our part of the diner, for most of the time that we were there) … While she was talking, I saw her head nod in our direction, and both of them looked our way. The manager was at the cash register, as I checked out. It was fun and gratifying, because, he said: «Echo, and you …(he had to look at the ticket for my name) … Mr. Robertson, are welcome back, ANYTIME!» — Shari’s is okay. I will try ANY restaurant where CHRIS is a waitress! … At least, twice.

I didn’t have a very good experience recently. The floors were quite dirty, both carpet and tile. There were rips in a number of the booth seats. The bathroom didn’t look like it had been cleaned in a very long time and the toilets were difficult to flush. In addition to the run down building, the service left much to be desired. Eventually, the manager offered to comp our food which was nice since my dining partner finished eating long before I got my meal(the server didn’t submit my order, just his). Not the casual relaxing meal we had hoped for.
