Love this restaurant! I got the chicken gyro platter that came with a small greek salad(yummy!!!). Came with rice and tzatziki sauce, which everything is so fresh and delicious! The split pea soup is also so amazing!!! The service in this place is great! The food comes out quick, never waiting long at all! I been here so many times and will continue to keep going!

I like gyros, always have. I haven’t had one in a long time. Not entirely sure why, they aren’t exactly on every corner I guess. I’ve really been craving one for almost a week now. It started when I had to go to a training thing for work and the lunch counter had a special gyro, with nacho cheese… seriously, I wanted to vomit. Needless to say I refrained from eating that day, but the worm wiggled into my brain, that I needed a proper gyro. After braving the horrible drivers of a holiday weekend in Westchester, I made my way from the garage in Ridge Hill to a really nice Greek restaurant that I had never gone inside of before. I really only wanted a quick take out, but the place has a really nice look to it. I was greeted and ordered my gyro quickly. It took about 3 minutes to get and I was off. The smell in the car was intoxicating, but I fought off the urge to rip into it until I got home. The gyro was absolutely wonderful. The meat was delicious, the fresh lettuce and tomato were great, all were overstuffed to perfection in a nice warm pita. It really hit the spot and it won’t take long for me to grab another.

After hearing raves about Lefteris from friends and coworkers to my fellow Unilocalers, hubby and I decided to try out their Mediterranean fare. I was delighted to find out that they have a full bar but decided not to drink on this occasion. The staff is very friendly and we were seated in one of the large booths immediately upon entering. Our server approached quickly and we ordered our drinks and app. I really wanted hubby to try their Cheese Pie so I got one for us to share. It’s very rich and cheesy. The dough is super flaky and it was cooked perfectly. We both ordered platters; I had my Lamb Souvlaki with rice and hubby got his Lamb Gyro with fries. We were both given salads that were lightly dressed with a citrus dressing, they had stuffed grape leaves, olives and feta cheese; our meals came with warm pita bread on the side. My lamb was cooked to a perfect medium temp and the rice, seasoned wonderfully. Hubby’s gyro meat was soooooo good but his fries were underseasoned; they could have used a sprinkle of salt right after cooking and that would have made a world of difference. I would suggest dusting some salt on them as soon as they’re brought to the table and maybe foregoing the ketchup to just dip them in that creamy tzatziki

I’d really recommend this place for folks who don’t want to go with the chain restaurants while shopping at the mall. The service is quick and the place is very busy! Their prices are fair and the amount of food is generous. If you don’t mind the hectic establishment, perhaps you will be better off making your line at one of the chain restaurants. I’d recommend you try one of their mixed drinks!

I am actually taking the time to write a review. Worst service I have ever encountered. Waiter took 10 minutes to take our order then we proceeded to wait for 45 minutes when he realized he never submitted the order to the cook and the audacity to give the customer attitude. Food looked great just never made it to our table. Minimal effort was put forth to make customer feel welcomed or taken care of.

Fresh delicious gyros and huge salads. The spanakopita was also very delicious. I’ve been here a few times and will continue coming here when I visit Ridge Hill.

Something has gone terribly wrong at this location. I’ve been coming since it opened up. Always fresh, always friendly and well paced service. But my last visit was completely different. — it’s very clear they stopped using Greek yogurt for the tzatziki. They also have cut the amount of herbs/cucumbers in it making for a pile of sour cream. — their waiter was far far to busy micro managing what my toddler was touching or eating. Three times he ran up and grabbed things from her hand. He also didn’t give or offer a kids menu. — it felt so rushed. yes, they are known for their quick service but the restaurant was empty and we didn’t even finish our first foods before they gave us more. never asked how it was. — the gyro meat was very greasy and the portion has gotten smaller. the chicken souvlaki was the worst thing I’ve ever eaten there. Almost all lettuce, huge chunks of onion, and at the bottom a pool of sour cream with maybe four pieces of chicken. Lastly, one of the people who ate with us was very ill shortly after eating here. Had to be that weird souvlaki Maybe if the staff went back to the traditional way of making their foods, serving their foods, and being friendly they could make their food without making patrons ill and uncomfortable. Boooooo

I usually don’t rate restaurants based on one visit, I don’t really think that’s fair, but… I should have known to temper my expectations when our party of 3 was seated right in front of the bathrooms when the restaurant was about half full. Why?! Anyway, our greek salad came drenched in dressing(not olive oil). The chicken souvlaki came with«tzatziki» sauce that was more sour cream than yogurt with fresh herbs. When we ordered, we asked for it to be cut half so we can share but half of it was drowning in sauce while the other half was bone dry. If all you care about is portion size/bang for your buck, then this is your place. Or if you’ve never had good Greek you’ll probably like this place. But if you’ve had good Greek food elsewhere, stay away– you won’t be happy here.

What a gem! This spot had everything we were looking for: great food, drinks, fast service, good prices. Wouldn’t change a thing! Definitely will be back. Had the chicken souvlaki and the gyro platters, HUGE portions… Can not go wrong here. Thanks guys!

I want to say that this place is a lot more hectic than the Tarrytown location… and the Tarrytown location is always crowded and packed! Our servers were nice and accommodating, but the place was loud… or maybe we were loud? I don’t know… The food here is just as solid as the Tarrytown location. Can’t go wrong with the appetizer medley. As a warning, platters do come with a appetizer greek salad that is almost as big as an entrée salad. I had the Aegean platter for myself, and it is a shiet load of food for 1 person. It contains Moussaka, pastitsio, spinach pie and gyro, Served with dinner Greek salad, pita bread and choice of french fries or rice. I ate maybe 1⁄3 of it, and doggy bagged the rest. It really is for 2 people. Between a couple, 1 appetizer and 1 platter entrée should suffice. Solid greek food here. I really enjoyed every aspect of my platter. The Moussaka, and Pastitsio were yummy. The spinach pie was crispy and flaky. The gyro was salty and tender and crispy. Yummmmo. I live near the Mount Kisco location… i should start ordering takeout from there. I forget how good Lefteris food is.

I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. Hubby and I went there after a movie on one of our date nights. Since the weather was warm we were able to sit outside(which I love doing). I ordered the gyro platter, which was a plate FULL of sliced meat, rice, warm pita bread and a greek salad. The meat and rice was nicely seasoned, the salad was plentiful with a good amount of dressing on it and it was so much that I had to take a doggy bag. Hubby had a chicken ceasar salad it was a huge bowl with a huge amount of grilled chicken(a little heavy on the dressing but that’s just me) he, too, couldn’t finish it and had a doggy bag. The only downside was our waiter was not attentive to us, never came back to see if everything was ok or if we needed anything else, in fact we had to ask someone else for our check. Overall, I find this restaurant to be great for the money and I will definitely be back!

I wouldn’t consider this a great Greek restaurant. The food is a little bland but considering the location, there aren’t a lot of Mediterranean choices

Wow this was a disappointment. Listen, I am not expecting much from ridgehill as my experience with restaurants there has been mediocre at best. This place however was by far the worst. I am not Greek however I frequent foodie spots like Agnanti and Stamatis so I definitely have been bitten by the Mediterranean bug. Where to begin: — the saganakis was not flambé’d just sat in alcohol. Tried to save it by placing in a small plate. Should have sent it back — the papoutsaki’s ground beef was seasoned very strangely, no salt and an overpowering spice with a clove/flower taste. Bechamel was OK. –grilled meat was OK however it was on a bed of rice-a-roni tasting instant rice. Take the time to get out to Astoria for some Greek fair. New to Westchester, I am looking forward to supporting great establishments with fresh ingredients and innovative cooking.

Yes friends, it’s a five. No exaggerations I come to this restaurant at least once a week now that it’s I Yonkers and when it was in Tarrytown i had no problems taking he drive up there. Family owned and operated Greek restaurant with the freshest food, fastest service, and nicest waitstaff around. Pros: everything. Food = delicious. seafood = delicious. salads = delicious. grilled calamari is a must. Their salad dressing is to die for. Cons: that I’m writing this review so it may get busier there! Cheers.

My first experience a few years back was dissappointing, but I gave it another chance and since then have been a fan of Lefteris Gyro. The food is always good and not expensive at all. Favorites would have to be the fish roe spread(don’t ask me to spell the Greek name) and the octopus.

I’ve been to a few Greek places in the Bronx and Westchester and I have to say Lefteris is definitely one of the better ones. I heard great things about their locations in Tarrytown and Mt Kisco so I was excited when one closer to home opened. This branch is located in the Ridge Hill shopping mall so you will have to pay for parking. The décor is simple yet effective; booths surround the perimeter while free-standing tables are in the middle. Shades of blue are found throughout the restaurant with murals hung on the walls. Service is pretty good, and the food is fresh and delicious — a nice alternative to all the big name restaurants in Ridge Hill.

if you haven’t read my other reviews on the other 2 locations I will tell you this: 1 — I LOVE this family owned chain 2 — go read my other reviews bc the 3rd time will be repetitive. Best Greek Salads, Best Hummus, Best Gyros, Best Lentil Soup…(If you’re looking for a large salad, order the small unless you plan to share the ‘large’ with 3 people! Small is really Large and Large is really XL.) I seriously, seriously wish I lived closer!!!

Hungry and tired from a Legoland afternoon and shopping the stretch for hours in the sun, we found this place on the way back towards the garage where we were parked. I’ve never had Halibut Kebab before and can I just say, it was absolutely delicious! Their salad is fresh, and the Halibut was perfectly grilled. Even the kiddo’s chicken fingers were made fresh and she finished her plate. To note, their staff is amazingly attentive and extremely nice. They befriended Little and we went home with a belly full of Jello on the house and a handful of lollipops. She even managed to finagle a quarter from our server to make a wish at the fountain on the way out.
