There was a steady/​constant crowd. The service was great. I got a chicken gyro with potato salad. I was happy about that because I’ve been looking for a gyro that doesn’t come with beef or lamb. The potato salad was yummy and not acidic. The prices are reasonable and great. I would recommend this place for a yummy, simple, and quick lunch or dinner.

Do not expect your food to come out in a reasonable timeframe. Do not expect the pizza to be NY Style. Do not expect to receive a good value. Do not expect friendly and attentive service.
Starve before you eat here.
I have seen funerals go faster than the service here.
This place, its service, its food, and its wait staff are each independent failures which in total amounts to a catastrophic failure.
Just order Dominos Pizza instead of wasting your time here.

This isnt what I consider New York Style Pizza. The pizza isnt bad at all but if you expecting New York style than i think most will be disappointed

I ordered the eggplant parm pasta and it was pretty tasty. Had some garlic knots that were decent. I won’t order these again because they just tasted like knotted bread (lacked any garlic flavor). Ordered the cheese calzone and it was pretty tasty as well. The garlic cheese bread was full of flavor and I would order again. All in all, I will order here again.

I have to amend my review.
Called and ordered a sub and fries to go, the wait was over 20 minutes, even though when I got there, there were few other patrons in the restaurant.
The sandwich didn’t have fresh ingredients on it… the lettuce was wilted and the tomato looked like an afterthought. It just wasn’t appealing to look at…
The fries, yet again, were cold and tasteless…
I think I will just stick to the pizza from now on… if I attempt to go back…

This has been my number 1 pizza spot for awhile now. It’s def the best in the area that I’ve tried! I’ve had pizza and subs and it’s all been great. The staff has always been friendly and they’ve always got coupons! It’s a definite must try!

After reading some reviews I questioned whether to order from there. Sure am glad I did! We ordered chicken wings and two large pizzas. And by large they mean large! All cheese for one and Meatlovers for the other… both we wonderful. Im not sure if the other reviews are the competition or not. However, we are a family that is just looking for great pizza… so thanks from the McKinney family that ordered tonight!

Stopped by to try one of their lunch specials. Ordered a turkey and cheese sammich.
Small sammich on toasted roll. Flavorful turkey and cheese, with mayo, lettuce, tomato, and (added) onions. A small bag of Herr’s chips (your choice) pickle slice and a drink. All for $ 6.99.
My Sammich was OK. Just, it was not that inspiring. Somewhat sloppily made. For a lunch special, it was about what one would expect. It isn’t, however, a sammich from Joe & Mimma’s, or Vinny’s. Or even a Wawa Hoagiefest diet killer.
Meh. I’ll try their pizza (which from the reviews here, isn’t that inspired either), on another visit (I almost ordered a slice just to take a look at it) before deciding if to leave Gus’s in my rotation of places that I haunt.
Your mileage may vary. Mine certainly did.

I live in the area (for the past 2 years now) and Gus’ is my favorite pizza in Yorktown. I consistently order takeout from here with my large pizza for $ 9.99 coupon that they never take away. It has made me loyal. The garlic knots are good, not the best I’ve had but definitely worth ordering and the pizza keeps me coming back. Great, friendly staff. They are always understaffed on the weekends, but just be patient and you’ll get good service.

It’s not exactly NY style pizza, but it’s one of the better I’ve found in that area. Large pizzas at reasonable prices as well. Depending on the day & the pizza maker, Joe & Mimma’s down the road is better, but they are also more expensive. Overall, a good deal and the best for a convenient pizza stop.

With a name like Gus’s New York Pizza, I just had to try this place. After all, New York city is the pizza capital of the world, and if your going to put it in your name, you best have some kick butt pie. I couldn’t wait.
I ordered a standard pepperoni, as it’s the best measuring stick when comparing pizza shops. When it arrived at the table, the excitement quickly turned to disappointment. New York Pizza this is not. Not even close. It completely lacked the N.Y. pizzeria look and taste. The crust was dense and it didn’t seem that it was cooked long enough, or even at high enough temperature. The sauce wasn’t to bad, but the cheese and pepperoni were nothing special. The service wasn’t bad, but the atmosphere wasn’t all that great. I can’t say that I would recommend this place to my friends, and Gus really needs to take New York out of the name. The pizza isn’t terrible, but it’s an injustice to the real thing.

Their customer service was horrible, and their wings are not BUFFALO, it’s BBQ when they claim it’s their spicy buffalo wings. Their pizza is suppose to be New York style but it’s not even close. I am going to try Dino’s pizza since I’ve heard good things about that place. I am not eating here again,.

Not the best location (a strip mall next to Farm Fresh), but a nice family venue with NY style pizza. I like the subs with pasta salad. The wait staff is polite and friendly. It’s a nice place to eat that isn’t some chain restaurant.
