Another long time establishment in downtown Ypsilanti. They are doing something very right here. The clothes are geared towards hi end fashionable African-Americans. So brother if you want to look your sharpest check out the threads at Puffer Reds. Incredible selection of Timberlin’s

Massive streetwear and sneakerhead emporium, representing more hip hop vs. skate culture. Gorgeous, expansive layout across what used to be multiple storefronts showcases a ton of interesting brands they carry, from mainstream Nike, Adidas, Puma, Timberland, Rockport, and Kangol, to Crooks & Castles, Staple, Pink Dolphin, Diamond, etc.

I first visited Puffer Red’s to get Jay Z’s S. Carters for my husband a couple years ago and have been hooked ever since. I like the store because it’s representative of the urban brands that it carries. Unlike decorated department stores, Puffer Red’s just feels real. It’s usually crowded with folks shopping and a mixx tape playing over the store system. The service is cool and they are competitively priced. Could someone answer one question for me? What is a Puffer Red?

Puffer Red’s is amazing. If you want to sport the newest, hottest kicks this side of a music video then this is your one stop action. Roca Wear, Apple Bottoms, Sean John, Artful Dodger — it’s gear for the weekend, and I’m not talking about the Hamptons. I’m talking about Friday night and strutting in all eyes on you. Hip hop acts(like Outkast) usually drop by Puffer Red’s if they’re performing in the area to check out the styles. Lucky us, we live nearby.

I remember seeing their funny little TV commercials before, some guy screaming«Puffer Reds!» in a raspy voice. But I had forgotten about it until my friends baby shower when she showed up in the cutest and sexiest red dress by Apple Bottoms. She looked great in it and it was awesome that it showed off her pregnant body. This is a cool clothing store located in downtown Ypsi. They have mostly hip hop gear for men and women. A good selection of shoe brands like Nikes, Addidas, etc. And womens fashion brands such as Apple Bottoms, House of Dereon, Baby Phat, etc. The clothing is very trendy and focused on twenty somethings or younger. It is a big store, two store fronts. One side for men and one side for women. If you go in the back you hit the shoe section.
