Worst customer experience I have ever had in my life. I bought a Sterns and Foster bed for a few thousand dollars and also purchased a bed frame. After a few weeks the box spring began to squeak. I called Tyners and they had their«expert» come out and fix the problem by installing additional braces for the frame as well as replacing the box spring. After about a week the noises were back and I called again. Tyners at this point became oppositional to my claim that the bed was making noise and sent a different team of experts out. This new team of guys found that the previous«experts» instillation of the supports was installed incorrectly! They replaced the box spring and attempted to rectify the mistakes made by the Tyners«expert». For those scoring at home that is two home visits and two new box springs. Oh, and about two months of poor quality sleep! Not soon after the last home visit the bed began making noises again –I should clarify for those who might wonder what making noise means when I write this: the noise was produced if I merely moved my foot to point my toes in extension. That small movement would make the bed emit a high pitch metal squeak –and that is if I just moved my toes… moving my body made noises that kept me sleepless for weeks! So, as anyone would, I called Tyners again. Now they seemed quite upset that I was audacious enough to expect a bed I bough for thousands of dollars not to keep me up all night because it made noise –if you are wondering, I was the ONLY person ever to use the bed and ONLYONE person was ever in the bed at a time. When I suggested that the best course of action would be a full refund and going our separate ways, they saw NO reason to refund the product that made noise. Rather, their tactic was to treat me, and my mattress and bed frame as a laborator experiment. They thought it best if they sent out the«expert»(the one who incorrectly installed the bed slats) to re-investigate the situation. This was too much even for a person as patient as I am. I calmly explained the situation and then the Tyners representative admitted that it was, «in her heart of hearts»(not language I would ever use, or could understand why anyone would) that it was the fault of the bed frame. Okay, so I though finally, they get it. Bad frame, it breaks the box spring(I was on the third one at this point) surely they will simply give me a refund. Nope. Not Tyner Furniture. After more assertiveness on my part –saying I would call the A2 news and the local TV «rescue» teams– they finally said they would refund the box spring and the mattress. I figured this was a start, but what about the«heart of hearts» comment that the frame was the culprit. Well, that was forgotten by the customer service rep. and it was not until the delivery men came to pickup the box spring and mattress that we were then able to have them also take the frame –after again mentioning that we had lots of time on our hands to contact news outlets, customer watchdogs, local TV outlets, and teams of attorneys. So, in the end I got what I wanted. It took four months for this resolution and I cannot express how much mental anguish. Beware of this company! It is the same one that tried to pass off a damaged floor model to my 97 year old grandmother despite her ordering a brand new model from the factory. If they are willing to give a 97 year old woman a raw deal and attempt to downplay a bed that is clearly defective, why in the world would anyone shop there? Simple: they have nice furniture and the showroom staff is very nice. The problems happen when their customer service and back office people get involved. They gave my 97 year old grandmother a raw deal, they gave me a four month run around, and I am confident they will give you the same horrific treatment! Please forward to anyone you know the dangers of shopping at this company. Buying local is great, but buy local when a company shows to regard, respect, or ethics to their customers is NO reason to buy from them. NEVERSHOPATTYNERFURNITURE and tell everyone you know not to as well!

My family has bought their furniture from Tyner’s for well over the past 35 years. I have always like the helpful and friendly staff at this store, as they like to sell you a solution to your needs, rather than just make their sales commission. Moreover they have an excellent selection of name brand furniture from all of the manufacturers. My aunt has purchased several Oriental and Persian rugs from Tyner Furniture, and they are still in great shape after 25 years. In addition, her master bedroom furnishings was purchased from them in 2006 and looks fantastic. The salesman worked very carefully with my aunt to select Universal — Eltham Place Collection for her home. I highly recommend Tyner Furniture to anyone who is looking for a great deal on home furnishings.
