Really good! Great value for the lunch buffet for $ 7.99. The menu changes daily except for the butter chicken. Butter chicken was my favorite too! Right off the highway it is easy to get to in front of the cinemark theater.

The food and was amazing. I went on lunch buffet for $ 7.99. The butter chicken was really good. And everything was tasty. The place is very clean, smells great, amd everuthing was outstanding. I would recommend them to everyone!

Outstanding. Best Indian Food ever. We were here on Saturday for their Buffett which had a wonderful selection. The Naan bread was charred on the outside to perfection — the taste was outstanding. Excellent service definitely will be back with friends and family.

The staff here are so friendly and we really enjoyed our food the first time we came here… but this time we got take-​out and there was a cockroach in the rice. We had read an earlier review that complained about cockroaches, but we hoped it was just an isolated incident.

OK, where do I begin? OK, I had a good experience that turned in to a not so good experience. Me and the wife decided to go to The Taj’s HH where their 12oz drafts are $ 1.00 and their appetizers half off for half-​orders. We decided on Fish pakora, chicken pakora, and ground lamb stuffed naan. They started us out with complimentary fried wafers with plum and spicy green chili dipping sauces. The wafers were thin, crispy, and lightly salted. Our food order must have taken 20 – 25 minutes. We thought they forgot about us. Our fish and chicken pakora was finally brought out. The fish was accompanied with sliced red onion and lime. I squeezed some over the fish. I took a piece of the sliced onion and placed it on the fish before I took a bite. The fish was very moist to the point of being juicy and flavorful. The red onion complimented it well. The chicken was accompanied with lime and housemade sauerkraut, yes sauerkraut! It surprisingly went well with the chicken pakora with a squeeze of lime. The ground lamb stuffed naan was our least favorite. It just had a skunky taste that left an unpleasant aftertaste. But that’s not what made this meal a not so good experience. As I was eating my chicken pakora with a bit of sauerkraut, I glanced at the dish it laid on when I noticed what appeared to be a roach walking on the plate. My wife freaked. She immediately stopped eating and wouldn’t even finish her beer. I don’t like wasting money, so naturally I ate the remaining dishes, except for the lamb naan; probably because I couldn’t help but correlate the roach with the skunky taste of the lamb and that killed my appetite. The food for the most part was good up to that point, hence the three stars. Unfortunately for them, my wife said she will not go there again. Dayum! Just after we discovered the best HH prices in town for drafts!

I never expected to have such a great meal in Yuba City! I’m not from CA, but this was the best Indian cuisine I’ve ever had. The lunch buffet was small, but delicious, featuring mostly chicken dishes but so. So. Good. Great prices, plenty of fresh hot naan and chai complimentary on the buffet. The place was empty at 11:30 am; Yuba City, you are missing out!!!

Lunch buffet till 3pm a good value at $ 7.99 plus drink is extra. 8 different hot options. Good flavor, spicy which I like. Fresh nann brought to table. Two soap dispensers in women’s bathroom empty, which makes me worried to wonder if all employees have washed hands today or not? (I’ll update if any GI upset later.) Anyway I would go here again. Everything tasted good except tandoori chicken was dry.

The food was fine. Had the chicken tikka masala & garlic naan. Nothing too special. ⁷⁄₁₀. The biggest problem was their waitresses. A bit awkward and unprofessional. I hope they’re new because they acted like it.

We went to Taj for the lunch buffet, just happened to be driving by, looking for some lunch. No, the selection in the buffet was not huge, but everything was VERY good. The staff was wonderful, kept my iced tea glass full, and the iced tea was good. Crisp, clean, not like a lot of places are serving these days, that seems like the container needs cleaning.
This is the first time I’ve seen a goat dish on a buffet, it’s usually only a menu item, if even that. And I LOVE goat. Very well prepared, well seasoned. But the Paneer,…Oh, the Paneer. If you don’t like spicy, the paneer is not for you. But if you like a spicy paneer, with LOTS of rich flavor, this is the place. I could have made a meal off of just that one dish, with some rice. The nan is also excellent.
We WILL be back!

Best Indian food I’ve ever had. Super good tasting dinner and the pastries were excellent too. Our server, Shriya, was amazing. Check it out!

My new favorite restaurant in town! Not only was the food good but the service was great. I can’t remember the last time I was treated so kindly at a restaurant. The food was fresh and the best Indian food I have tried in the area. I will definitely be returning very soon.

Very good food finally we got home style food in the taj. Goat curry, achari chicken, paneer dish super with garlic naan. We looking forward to give you my son birthday party order. Keep it up…

I like Indian food tried THE TAJ it’s under new management people were really nice food was great so far the best I had in yuba city. This is the restaurant for me from now on I recommend every one to go and try u won’t be disappointed.

Very good home style food. The selection is small but every item was tasty. The service was outstanding. The place is a nice alternative to the already established Indian restaurants in the area.
