This was really a huge disappointment! We were expecting much better food and service, but what we got was average food, below average service and half our cocktail drinks didn’t come until after we’ve finished our WHOLE meal.
We ordered the following:
1. Seafood Soup in Teapot — four little clams, one small piece of white fish and one tiny scallop in a salty broth served lukewarm.
2. Steamed Egg with Black Truffle — eggs steamed with a piece of shrimp, piece of crab meat, a piece of chicken and a small dollop of black truffle. Despite looking nothing like the picture in the menu, it was probably the best dish of the night.
3. Japanese Pumpkin and Sweet Potato Tempura — yes it was tempura, but served cold.
4. Assorted Tempura — again, average tempura served cold.
5. Hiroshima Oyster Cutlet — fancy name for fried oysters and very average at best.
6. Spicy Tuna Crispy Chip — where’s the spice? Where’s the taste?
7. Special Sashimi Platter — nothing really special here, pretty standard fare and the fishes weren’t that fresh.
8. Specialty Cocktails (alcoholic and non-​alcoholic) — don’t even bother looking at their drinks menu because you are not getting what is shown and it won’t even taste like anything except artificial flavors.
Sushi One is located towards the back and you will be walking past two other Japanese restaurants, if I was you, I would seriously consider the other two before walking into this trap! At 50% off after 9:30PM, it might be worth the deceptions on looks and tastes for the thrifty, but this Unilocaler will not be coming back at any time.

If you are reading this then you are probably American, cause people use the app open rice in Hong Kong, but you did come across this jewel. This review is only based after 10PM cause that is when mostly everything is 50% off.
This is good quality sushi too, not the cheap sushi you find in America. Everything is freaking cheap! Try the smoked Nigri or sashimi. You cant go wrong with anything.
There is a line that starts to form after 930 — mostly younger college kids in big groups of friends.

Sake nigiri. Uni, ahi and ikura were all below average, but not terrible. Btw; No sushi bar and no conveyor belt. Service was average. There are too many great places to go in Hong Kong to waste my time to return to this place.
