Absolutely love this restaurant. I get the same thing every time I go, the«Chicken Stack». I like the fact that I am able to customise the meal a bit(switch one sauce for another). The portion sizes are perfect, the food piping hot & delicious and the service was quick and friendly. Reasonable prices for all foods and drinks and a nice atmosphere. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone. :)

This place is the best place to go for a night out for a meal. There is so much to choose from, I love the fact it’s not just burgers on the menu! I chose to have the chicken sizzler it came out on a big hot sizzling plate I was just expecting chicken but it had sliced chicken, steak slices and a mix of peppers. It was mouth watering, I had fries with it too. I also had a cocktail called a woo woo it was vodka, peach schnapps and cranberry juice in a tall glass filled with ice, really fruity to taste and refreshing. I recommend this place to everyone, the service is quite quick unless u are ordering a lot then u have to wait a while but it’s worth waiting for!!! Friendly staff and a good Craic!

Springsteens is one of my favourite food places in Belfast. It’s a simple American diner with great home made food. I haven’t been here for a few months and I’m regretting not coming again sooner as my food was great! £10.50 for a chicken stack on a bed of creamy champ covered in peppered and tobacco onions. This meal hit the spot and was helped washed down by a bucket of 4 corona for £10.00. Cheap and cheerful place to go but I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We had a very nice meal in here. Enormous portions but also decent quality. Stuffing and chicken with mushrooms was excellent. Drinks are also generous in volume which makes a nice change. Was a quiet Monday night when we visited but the service was excellent.

I’ve dined in the Botanic Ave restaurant a few time before and always found it quite satisfactory. However the Lisburn Road one is really not up to standard and I really hope they catch on to this and clean up their act. The starter tasted like it was straight out of the microwave, the beer was was warm and I got a sample of someones hair in my burger! Thoroughly disappointing!

There was a sandwich board outside the premises which, on one side, advertised their Christmas menu — a little odd considering it was now January. On the other side their lunch specials were advertised — «Lunch specials £5.95, 12−3pm». The five foot advertisement made every effort to publicise this«special». We went in and there was a party of three in front of us waiting to be seated. The place isn’t that big. We waited behind this party who left after about 5 minutes — we hadn’t seen them be acknowledged by the staff once. Then it was our turn to be ignored by the staff. We stood for about ten minutes with waitress after waitress passing us without acknowledging our existence. I used that time to read the specials board inside the place, which was a chalk board with the four or five specials mentioned, surrounded by promises of «£5.95». I was torn between two of the specials but thought I’d look at the menu anyway and, after being ignored for almost ten minutes(it seemed to me like the place may have been short staffed), we were seated. I looked through the menu and, upon seeing prices which made me think I was about to have in a meal in a hotel, felt relieved that the place had specials(I’ve eaten some excellent evening meals in quality restaurants that were less expensive than lunch in this place). I was taking a last look at the specials board above my head when the witress arrived. As I began to enquire about one of the specials she stopped me to inform me the specials weren’t available that day. It appeared to me that they had decided that because it was busy that day, they wouldn’t be serving the specials and wanted customers to order meals off the main menu, some of which were almost twice the price of the specials. There were no exlusions on either the specials board out the front, or in the«restaurant». I was going to order something off the menu but decided not to — I’d rather leave and be mildly embarrassed than be conned. I don’t know precisely what constitutes false advertising, but I know we were there on a day and a time that was eligible for the specials, as advertised on both boards outside and inside the restaurant. We left, went to The Other Place, and had an excellent meal, as per usual. So if you happen to see a specials board outside Springsteen’s and are tempted to go in, beware that they might have decided to withdraw the specials that day, even though they are advertised out the front. How embarrassing would it be if that was the case and you were out on a date, soon realising that you could have eaten in The Other Place or Villa Italia and it wouldn’t have cost you as much?

As I have said in other reviews, I’m a massive fan of the Springsteens on Botanic Avenue and this place is just probably just the level below if I’m honest. Other reviewers have been laying into Springsteen’s left right and centre but I’m here to stand up for them. Hopefully someone from there will read the reviews and give me some food and beers for free so me and my mates can hang out here and have a laugh. The food here is pretty basic and unpretentious, which is exactly what I want from a place to eat. You can get a huge burder, fires and a drink for around a tenner which I think is a pretty good price to be honest. The staff are always lovely and friendly. I’ve had some great nights in the Botanic Springsteens that have never been quite replicated here but that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth checking out.

Springsteen’s– where the burgers are almost the size of your face. With having already frequented Springsteens on Botanic Avenue, I was excited at the prospect of dining at the new establishment on the Lisburn Road. As a student, Springsteens was the first place I went to celebrate the confirmation that my loan had entered my bank account, so would the new dinner live up to expectations? The answer– yes! With all the usual favourites on the menu, the same comforting atmosphere and friendly staff it was like home to home, albeit an American dinner home. The Kennedy burger is always top of my list with my side selection of criss-cross fries. Golden, crispy and totally yummy. The burgers can be a little more expensive than elsewhere but they are massive. I always see Springsteen’s as a treat so I don’t mind paying a little extra, however it would prove expensive if you were tripping in and out on a regular basis.

I’m like a moth to a flame when it comes to going places I know are average at best. Having went to the Botanic Avenue version of this, I figured it couldn’t be any worse. It turned out it was much of the same, possibly marginally better. The service was slightly better and friendlier. The food tasted a bit nicer too. But even after round two, it still is way too overpriced. Again I’m a sucker for ribs so I plumped for those bad boys and they were good but Tony Roma’s blows this place out of the water twice or three times over. It’s just a distinctly average place to eat. Nothing more. Nothing less. I’ll probably be back because I love mediocrity

I ate here with a real American, she had lots to say on the subject of the food, atmosphere and service in comparison to her favourite places at home — she was reasonably impressed. I had the pancakes with maple syrup — I didn’t want the bacon that came with it — but they were really lovely. I felt so guilty eating them though, and even though there are salads on the menu — I don’t think the average customer can look past the ribs and burgers and make the healthy choice! Not that they should — I think this is the sort of place to go to when you really want to pig out and be bold. The service was very attentive and the waitress was genuinely friendly, and the milkshakes — yummy. It’s a good place for a casual bite to eat, not for a proper meal out, and they have a massive list of burgers named after famous Americans — there is almost too much choice. Worth a visit if you are in that neck of the woods.
