Very slow service, vibe is pretentious, food overpriced and really not that good. Wouldn’t go back. If you only have few meals in Rio, go and try something authentic. Here you will only find lame burgers and fries that taste like Mac Donald’s only 10x the price. Not advised!!!

An enjoyable lunch. A cool area in Ipanema so the outdoor seating is actually feasible. Very tastefully decorated, could easily be a date venue. I had the house couvert, a sausage platter and a grilled octopus, all of which I’d have again in the near future. The prices are somewhat steep for locals but it’s not above the norm for this part of town.

A stone’s throw from the beach, this is the cute, good-​vibes Ipanema restaurant that I most recommend to visitors. Not only is the food delicious and cooked with care, but the service and ambiance are also inviting and wonderful. The music is a delight, the burgers hit the spot, and the bubbly is well prepared, tropical and refreshing.

Via Sete was the perfect meal for my friend Stan and I. After hanging at Ipanema Beach for a few hours, we got hungry and thirsty. Via Sete had excellent sandwiches and delectable frozen drinks. I absolutely recommend this place if you’re looking for a bite in Ipanema.

Tudo delicioso. Tem cardápio variado, de opções saudáveis às mais engordarias, e tudo vale a pena. Sempre tem gente bonita!

Restaurante localizado no Quarteirão do Charme, em frente à Louis Vuitton, ao lado de uma joalheria e na mesma calçada que H. Stern e Amsterdam Sauer.
Tem uma agradável varanda.
Cardápio bem variado, inclusive com opções para quem está de dieta.

Great ambiance. Great cocktails. A good place to get some grains and leafy greens when you’re done eating bread and meat in Brazil. I got the cous cous and chicken. It was delicous and fresh tasting. And the passion fruit mousse was to die for.

Ubicado en Ipenema, Via Sete es un restaurant con muy buena onda, ambiente, buenas opciones de comida y tragos, pero nada que te rompa la cabeza.
Recomendables las hamburguesas y pedir una mesa afuera en la terraza (primero me sentaron adentro y había un olor a m!!!)
No te va a defraudar pero por el mismo presupuesto hay mejores opciones!

Primeiro voce pode comer so de olhar, localização boa e clima intimista… acrescente bom atendimento e muito sabor…

The service was great, ambiance fantastic, and the food even better. Two thumbs up. It was really easy to find and in a great part of the city. The menu was broken up well, and our waitress very kind.

Very fast service and our food was accurate as ordered. For those of you who struggle with the Portuguese language the staff here can speak English very well. The food was outstanding. This is a place I will come back to if I visit Rio again. Get the strawberry and blackberry frozen drink.

Staff was nice and welcoming but the steak was overlooked even though we ordered medium-​rare. Reasonably priced for this area. Nice setting. Nice terrace.

This place was delicious and reasonably priced. Service was excellent. The filet mignon was perfect every time. We were in Rio only 4 days and decided to come here twice. The wait is longer for a table outside but there’s a nice vibe on the inside too.

ViaSete is on point!!! From the moment I walked in the door the service was outstanding. The tartare was so yummy probably my favorite.
I enjoyed it so much I took a Different friend here that same evening.
At night the caprese salad was where it was at.

Os Hambúrgueres desse restaurante são muito bons, apesar de caros. É uma boa opção para aqueles que querem ingredientes sofisticados e estão dispostos a pagar cerca de 40 reais pelo prato.

The food is good and the service also. The terrace is confortable. However, it is a little overpriced, that’s why I did not put 5 stars. But it is definitely a place to try if you are in the area!

This is a great restaurant a few blocks from Ipanema beach. They serve a variety of food, including burgers, salads and seafood. The service is good, and they atmosphere is fun, relaxing and trendy. The best part is the outdoor seating, perfect for grabbing one of their delicious drinks. The star of the show here was definitely the Kobe beef burger. I’m not a burger person, but I devoured this burger and licked my fingers when I was done. Great food, great drinks, great location. It’s a win all around. Went back a 2^nd time in a 1-​week trip, so it must have been good.

Better for lunch than for dinner! Pretty relaxed but chic trendy place to come with Havaianas and get a good meat or nice salads

If you’re looking for a lively place in the heart of Ipanema to enjoy good food, drink and people watch. This is it. Energetic atmosphere. Great outdoor seating. Gourmet burgers and steaks. They have a variety of fruity versions of the caiparinha. Try the frutas vermelhas — red fruit combination or my favorite the abacaxi — pineapple. Your straw will have a spoon at the en so you can enjoy the fruit. I had the Kobe burger medium that came with fries.

Better for lunch than for dinner, Via Sete offers a standard range of salads and other midday fare that is filling, well-​priced, and convenient if not entirely out-​side-​the-​box. The couscous salad is excellent and makes for a great snack later in the day if you’re a tourist. Sit outside for a few of both tourists and locals window shopping at the local boutiques. This place is great to eat at whether alone or with others.

Atmosphere is really relaxed and it has pretty décor. The food is excellent. You must try the brownie, if you love chocolate. Waiters are friendly and attentive.

O restaurante tem uma proposta de alimentação mais saudável e de não agressão ao meio ambiente. O local é agradável, mas o salão um pouco apertado. A comida é muito boa. Aconselho o palmito e os cogumelos de entrada.

Been to the one in Ipanema (this one) and also the one down town. Yes, there is always a line. Key: GO EARLY! :)
I tend to always order the same thing though — their lamb burger. Firstly because there are not many lamb dishes around in Rio, and secondly, and I say this with a hint of reservation, the burger is generally good :) I say with a hint of reservation as it is not very consistent :(sad thing though as when you go expecting so much out of it, it comes out to be disappointing. But it must mean something that I still keep going back and still giving it a chance that it would turn out as amazing as I remembered it the first time I tasted it — and that was exactly what happened at their centro branch last week. They served me a really really good lamb burger :)
Other things I tired on their menu — hot dog (which was … well… decent. I guess it just did not correspond with the price that you are paying for it), their mushroom pasta (I had better). Dessert — brownie is gooooooooooddddd :)

Excelente ambiente e pratos saborosos! Embora caro, valeu a pena. Montamos um prato com o hambúrguer da casa, salada ceaser e batata assada recheada. Para sobremesa, cheesecake! Tudo de primeira qualidade!

We keep going back to this place because it has a great setting, both indoors and out. Also the food is quite good and the specials change to give it variety. The service here is quite excellent, hard to find in Rio. The staff is polite and attentive and it’s very easy to navigate (they have English menus too).
I had the soup of the day, a vegetable soup which wasn’t too hearty or thick or too filling, but had good flavor. I also got an appetizer, a ceviche with crispy fries to scoop it out on.
I also tried a strawberry and blackberry blended drink which was awesome. You can add whatever alcohol you like (cachaça or vodka) or even keep it virgin.
Save room for dessert, since they have a good selection!

I’ve been wanting to go here for a while, but they always have a line.
Finally managed to get a table and quickly learned why there’s always a line. It’s great. I’m not kidding. My group had three of us and tried something of each plate. Every one was simply delicious, and we’re talking about a range of items from pasta to tuna steak to salad.
I was full but wanted to keep eating.
Drinks were good, about standard for Rio. Nothing to Unilocal about (haha).
The only drawback was that the service was a bit slow, although it was busy so that happens. And the calamari was overcooked.
I’ll be going back — if I can get a table.

O serviço foi tão bom que o prato ficou em segundo plano. Acho que a especialidade está nos burges. Ótimo ambiente para curtir uma das ruas mais chiques do Rio a luz de velas despojado.

The restaurant is in a lovely location near the Ipanema beach. Perfect place to eat after a morning at the beach. They have seating outside on the patio, which is lovely and great for people watching. Hubby and me came here for lunch after a morning of doing touristy stuff. They have vegetarian options — which I expect are hard to find in Rio.
We ordered caipirinhas to start. Refreshing and perfect. I ordered a spinach salad with grilled mushrooms and feta cheese. Hubby ordered the veggie burger, for which we could choose 2 sides. We chose the couscous salad and fries. The food was great — tasty, fresh and flavorful. They have generous portion sizes, but we were famished and finished our entrees. It is a lovely place to eat a leisurely meal while at Rio — great service with a winning ambiance and great food.

Adoro o Via Sete! O cardápio é variado: desde saladas e sucos a hambúrgueres. Os pastéis e as linguiças são ótimas entradas. O frango grelhado é ótimo. O ambiente é descontraído e agradável.

Ambiente agradável que se adapta às mais variadas ocasiões, desde um almoço pós praia até um jantar romântico. O cardápio também atende aos mais saudáveis, com pratos orgânicos e várias opções de saladas, aos que não se preocupam, com batata frita crocante, hambúrguer de picanha e sobremesas maravilhosas.

Um restaurante para agradar a todos. O ambiente e o atendimento são ótimos e o cardápio, além de ter preços justos — apesar de estar localizado na Garcia davila -, atende a todos os gostos e necessidades. Tem opções saudáveis para quem está de dieta, opções para quem não está preocupado com isso, carnes, peixes, massas, sanduíches. E tudo é uma delicia. Quando quero juntar amigos que são mais restritos em relação ao que comem, levo todo mundo para lá.

O restaurante é bonitinho, numa rua bem legal, o atendimento é bom e tem boas opções de pratos para se manter na dieta. Infelizmente, nossos pratos vieram bem frios. Quando reclamamos fomos prontamente atendidos e os pratos trocados, mas fiquei com a impressão de que as porções são esquentadas no microondas (batata assada, por exemplo). Pode ser somente impressão ou azar, mas fiquei um pouco chateada, pois tinha uma alta expectativa.
De sobremesa pedimos uma torta de chocolate sem farinha, que tb estava bem sem sabor.

Bön resto au cœur d’Ipanema: salades, burgers ou saumon grillé. Un peu tout, plutôt équilibré et à l’air appétissant ! Le tartare de thon à la moutarde à l’ancienne en entrée est un régal et la salade tomate-​mozza est bonn. Les jus sont aussi bons et naturels (la fraise sans sucre, c’est un peu dur). Il y a une grande terrasse, du monde, tout pour plaire.

Já tinha ouvido falar muito do Via Sete, por um motivo em especial: ele é um dos restaurantes preferidos dos estrangeiros que moram na cidade. Descobri isso ao conversar com um grupo de noruegueses, que não arreda pé daqui.
O motivo de tanto amor? O restaurante fica em uma região nobre, tem um ambiente bacana, cardápio bem variado, e os preços não são exorbitantes, o que se tornou comum nessa área. Comi um penne com molho de tomate, camarão e rúcula e fiquei bem satisfeita (a ressalva é que o prato podia ter chegado à mesa um pouco mais quente…). Minha acompanhante foi de hambúrguer, e adorou — eles tem até hambúrguer de cordeiro!
O atendimento foi bacana e a conta, ao final de alguns chopes, foi justa. Versátil, é uma boa para almoços de negócios, happy hours ou simplesmente uma refeição rápida e de qualidade.

Adoro esse restaurante! Não tem nada de mais, mas ele tem um clima diferente que eu curto. Fica na esquina com a sete de setembro e precisa descer um lance de escadas. A iluminação é em meia luz e acho que por isso já muda o clima do restaurante.
Gosto de pedir os combinados uma carne + salada + batata recheada com queijo. Mas tem várias outras opções que dá para montar com farofa, arroz de brócolis.
