Alsur Café – Llúria

I know they’re known for waffles sandwiches, but I needed meat! The goat cheese burgers are to die for! Coming from LA, the quality of the food combined with the cheap prices (8.90 €) in BCN is incredible! The service is nice, but slow. Overall I’d give it 4.5 stars.
If I ever come back to this beautiful city, I’d definitely give their pancakes a try since everyone around me thoroughly enjoyed their’s.

I got chicken and waffles to eat and I highly recommend! They are a mix of sweet and spicy. Coffee was very good, friendly atmosphere and service. I Will return again!

Overall ambience, location, service, and meals were wonderful. In order to get wifi you have to like them on Facebook which seems to be the usual for restaurants in Barcelona. The food was amazing and the price was great! The only complaint I can even come up with is that the portions were a little smaller than expected but definitely filled me and my 6’4″ fiancé up! Also: if you’re a cheesecake lover– get the cheesecake.

Great place! Amazing deal and delicious food for brunch. Was in Barcelona for 4 days and came twice because it was so good. The waffles with bacon and avocado were amazing and the salad was giant. For just € 2 more you get a beer, coffee, and dessert, so it came out to € 10.50 and we left very full and very satisfied. The wifi was fast as well. Service wasn’t amazing, but the experience was still great overall.

Another nice address found on Unilocal where you can have a brunch or a dessert. The Cafè offers a huge range of dishes and brunches but unfortunately no bagels :-(oooh I thought I typed «bagels» in the criteria and found Alsur Cafè
We will have a Cabria Burger with goat cheese, caramelized onions, tomatoes (very good) and the eggs florentine (very small).
I just love this kind of atmosphere, very relaxed. The dishes are ok but the service even if nice was very slow, we have been waiting more than 40min before receiving the dishes that were already a little bit cold :-(compared to some other good addresses in Barcelona it is not my favorite one.

Food is amazing!!!
To get:
Cottage cheese pancakes (yes it sounds weird but it is SO creamy and fluffy at the same time)
Scrambled eggs with iberico ham (layered with thinly sliced potatoes, egg, ham)
Grilled cheese waffle sandwich (with avocado and bacon which is perfectly crispy)
:) and of course a yummy flat white :)
Only downside is that the service was very slow. Definitely expect to wait for the food…

My fiancée loves brunch. I think it’s boring. It’s all the same stuff. But Alsur Café blew me away with its creative treats.
I had the grilled cheese waffle sandwich (8.50 €) and it was the single best brunch item I’ve ever put in my mouth. Imagine two perfectly cooked waffles. Between them, tasty, melty cheese and crispy bacon. It was heaven. (It normally comes with avocado as well, but I skipped that.)
We also tried the Oreo Waffles (7.20 €) and they were a decadent, chocolatey treat, covered in cream cheese frosting. The strawberries in Barcelona were next-​level amazing, so including those in a bite made for an extra flavor explosion.
For someone who is normally bored by brunch, it takes a phenomenal unicorn of a restaurant to turn me around. Alsur Café is that unicorn. Giddyup.

This place was so cute! Perfect for a relaxing cup of coffee or glass of wine. Loved it!

This is a great and healthy place to eat either salads, eggs or even sandwiches. The warm Quinoa salad is a must to try! The atmosphere is very cozy and you can easily spend an hour to rest from sightseeing or having a great breakfast/​brunch.

Amazing and interesting menu. I got the grilled cheese waffle with avocado and bacon and it was to die for. Probably can give me a heart attack but totally worth it. I also got a mocha coffee which looked iced but it was hot, also pretty good. I have already been twice in one month because I love this place. You can go with a friend for brunch/​lunch or go by yourself and do work with a computer. Very casual and chill and spoke good english.

De Alsur Café de LLúria tengo que decir que preparan los cafés más ricos de la zona, como buen italiano. Pero por la noche hacen unos mojitos de fresa espectaculares.
Lo único a mejorar sería el servicio, siempre que asisto cambian los camareros y se nota un poco de desorganización y falta de control depende de la hora que lo frecuentes.

Very cute café and I’ve heard about it several times from my friends.
I had a mango salad with marinated salmon from the menu. It’s very refreshing and just the light dish I was looking for.
I’ll definitely go back to try their brunch and desserts. :)

Amazing place to meet up with a large group for brunch or a fun lunch. I arrived with seven other people in the afternoon. We were seated quickly and enthusiastically.
I ordered the eggs Benedict. The eggs were deliciously runny and came with a delicious bed of arugula and sprouts and some perfectly savory Jamon. The crunchy bread topped the meal off perfectly.
I came back to Alsur two days later because I really enjoyed my experience and ordered the Hallumi sandwich with a strawberry orange smoothie. THE HALLUMI IS A MUST. It came with the most amazing veggie chips and the most flavorful basil sauce. The Hallumis tomatoes, cheese and arugula were so in sync – the char grilled cheese was offset by the lightness of the basil sauce.
Definitely a wonderful place to have brunch in Barcelona.

The food is atmosphere and food here phenomenal! It’s a very chill and lowkey hang out. Great place to catch up on reading or just enjoying a cup of coffee. As for food I recommend the grilled cheese waffle sandwich or Salmon with potatoes.

If your considering coming here… DO IT! It’s a nice little chill spot with good music, delicious food, friendly staff, good prices, and solid wifi.
Definitely coming back!

Love this adorable place! The people working here were very very nice and most importantly the food was great. We loved everything we had and will be back for sure!

Visited on a Thursday at 1PM. Not too busy but not empty either. Great ambiance and well– furnished. Service was casual but kind.
OK let’s cut to the chase — the food was sooo tasty. My party of three ordered four items to share — the eggs florentine, mezze plate, chicken Caesar salad, and the carrot cake pancakes that Unilocalers have been raving about. The eggs florentine were decent. I prefer poached eggs but this edition came scrambled (the scones were delicious so that made up for the whole dish. The best thing on the mezze plate was the red pepper carrot purée (at least that’s what it tasted like). It also came with guac and hummus — not bad at all. The Caesar salad was the best version I’ve had in a very long time. It was well-​dressed, the grilled chicken was excellent, and the croutons were… well who doesn’t like a good croûton.
Finally — the carrot cake pancakes. I should preface and say that I am a carrot cake fiend so this could have been served on an old boot and I still would’ve liked it, but the stack was decadent and not too sweet; just the way one would imagine a carrot cake should be. The dish read more cake than pancake though, so this is something that should not be eaten wholly by one person (unless you already eat cake for breakfast on a regular basis in which case I’d like to meet you). A few bites from the stack will be plenty and perfect to cap off an excellent brunch.
People aren’t lying when they say they’ll come back again the next day. If Barcelona weren’t so damn delicious as is, I’d be back for Round 2.

I’m so glad this place is right next to our hotel. Awesome coffee, food, and service all for unreasonably low prices! The French toast is delicious and only for 4 euros. Highly recommended! I can’t wait to go back there tomorrow morning.

Spot cosy et accueillant non loin de la Carrer de Bailen. Je vous invite à découvrir les bières spéciales proposées à la carte le tout accompagné d’une bonne grosse assiette de Patatas Bravas ! Installés sur l’un des canapés douillet ou sur la mezzanine c’est parfait pour un dimanche grisâtre.
4 étoiles pour l’établissement car le service est un peu froid contrairement au lieu !

We came here to try the carrot pancake. Unfortunately, they didn’t have it. I ended up ordering the criddle cake and my husband, the club sandwich. It was a blessing in disguise! The criddle cake was really good. If I weren’t too full, I would’ve ordered another one.
The service is good too. Nice servers and the café itself has very hip décor and nice vibe to it.
I’m glad I stumbled upon Alsur Café on Unilocal.Go try for yourself.
Btw, there’s free wifi. Can’t beat that. :)

I love everything about this place! It’s so cute! From the design of the café to the food served, everything is perfect. The café has so many options of seating which I love. They even have an upstairs for more seating. Downstairs they have this seating near the window with really pretty tiles! I think it’s my favorite spot!
The food is amazing too! I got the grilled cheese waffle sandwich and it was so delicious. I also tried the plantain chips with guac and the peach iced tea, all really good! The food was nicely placed and of course my friends and I had to take pictures. I definitely want to come back! I want to try their red velvet cake next time.

This is a cosy and relaxed pub/​café that serves really good smoothies. I had the Strawberry Orange Lime and it was great! The portions of the food where huge so come here hungry!
I ate the club sandwich and it was good but a bit dry. My partner had the pankes with carrots and cream cheese and it was nothing special but still good.
The service were great and because of that and the good smoothies and coffee I give them ⁴⁄₅.

El más nuevo de los Alsur. Un buen lugar para relajarte y tomar una copa o unos nachos.

No es la primera vez que vengo. Tiene muchos aspectos positivos.
Este restaurante tiene la cocina abierta todo el día, es céntrico pero no está tan lleno como el Alsur del Born, por lo que cuando hemos ido, hemos encontrado sitio fácilmente. El ambiente es agradable y la comida muy buena.
Hemos ido a hacer el brunch y a hacer el postre.
La primera vez fuimos a hacer el brunch y estuvo muy bien. Las raciones buenas, el café bien y los pasteles de muerte!
La segunda vez que fuimos, solamente fuimos a hacer el café y una tartita… bueno decir tartita no es la palabra. tartón!!! Tremendas raciones!!!
Es un lugar de 5 estrellas si no fuera por el servicio. Lento, sin gracia, un poco desorganizado, no solamente por la tecnología que utilizan para tomar las comandas que es bastante lenta, sino por la actitud.

Ya había estado en el Alsur del Born, pero en este la decoración del local es distinta, y mucho mas bonita. Es un lugar muy luminoso y muy bien decorado. Hay diversos tipos de mesas: unas pequeñas al lado de la ventana, otras con sofás, unas redondas y grandes muy adecuadas para grupos, unos sillones en la planta de arriba… esto sumado a que el domingo no había mucha gente, hacen de este lugar una muy buena opción para el brunch.
Sobre la comida, hemos probado los huevos florentinos y el carrot cake. Todo realmente bueno.
El servicio ha estado muy atento. Un punto un poco raro es que pasan los pedidos con un iphone, pero parece que el sistema debe ser un poco complicado ya que la chica tardaba mucho en introducir los datos. Ha habido un momento que no teníamos claro si estaba escribiendo un whatsapp o que (alomejor estaba consultando Unilocal!). No veo que aporte mucho este sistema, sinceramente.
El precio, muy similar a otros sitios de brunch, que yo personalmente encuentro un poco alto (+9 € el plato de huevos).
Es un sitio para repetir, especialmente por el ambiente agradable y tranquilo.
