You walk by, it catches your eye, you like it, so you will try it. The location is perfect, and the place lookes amaizing. You sit down, menu lookes good, prices ok(for a main street in a touristic city) the service is perfect and you order. The problem starts when your food arrives. The portions are not small, they are ridiculously small… So basically the fact the you pay less for less doesn’t make the place cheep. One of the problems I see, is that the size of the portions(in grams) is nowhere specified, so that you would know what to expect. Anyways, I won’t complain about the quality of the food, which was ok. The last thing that made me lose mangy guts, was the fact that every table gets charged a1,45 € per person for the bread, doesn’t matter if you want some our not. So, long story short: if you want a good looking, ultra– central, fancy place to have some food, this one is for you. If you want a place eat good, keep searching…

Nice little place in passeig de gracia! We enjoyed a delicious green salad-very fresh, wonderful cheesy pizza, and seafood risotto! Nice pleasant atmosphere and service.

Not bad — not great. Stopped in for lunch and ordered the gazpacho and seafood risotto. Gazpacho was great — nice flavors and texture. The risotto was meh. For«seafood» you received 2 medium shrimp and a small scallop on top. Little to no flavor. Service was decent and it didn’t take too long for food to arrive to the table but nothing to rave about.

I should have checked Unilocal before I came here. It was not the greatest way to end a wonderful week in Barcelona. Menu looked good — restaurant looked upscale — we’d walked past this place a bunch of times and always thought — let’s leave it for our last night here, have a special meal. It wasn’t. Service was barely mediocre. Took a long time to have our order taken — more time for drinks to arrive — and a healthy wait for food. Our starter(octopus) was badly overcooked and came out AFTER the mains, with no apologies. A side dish was forgotten, with no apologies. Shortly after we had ordered, the table next to us had a small water spill and the water ran under our table so we had a little puddle under us for the rest of the meal. I would have said something, but couldn’t get anyone’s attention. Food itself was ok. Finally, to rub salt in the wound, for the first time of 15+ restaurant meals for our entire stay, we were charged a table fee of € 1.45 per person. I don’t remember seeing any notice of this on the menu or outside but when I asked, the server looked at us with distain and basically said — «here in Spain, that’s how it is.»

Only worth it for the convenient location. Food quality is poor, service is incredibly slow, and prices are high. But, the location is great so an easy choice if you are on the Passeig de Gracia.

Good location on a main street and a very nice place inside. The food was well received. We ordered a couple of pizzas(shrimp, veggie), a couple of salads(Caesar, House), and a couple of other dishes(pesto pasta, salmon). Everybody was happy.

While not terrible, the only thing authentically Italian about this place is the appearance of the food. Pizza — looks great, tastes like a grocery store frozen pizza. Caesar Salad — I’ve seen chicken in this before, but apples and tomatoes? And of course, there was no romaine lettuce to be found. I have to say it actually wasn’t a bad salad, but it also wasn’t a Caesar salad. Penne Arrabiatta. Would you like that spicy? Well, yes. Yes I would. What came to the table was well cooked penne in a sickly sweet tomato sauce. Service is just terrible. The server started clearing our salads as she asked if we were done. The server actually took the plate away from my wife — WITHHERFORKSTILLINHERHANDWHILESHEWASSTILLEATINGFROMTHESAMEPLATE. Baffling. Give this place a miss. Don’t let the nice décor and good looking food fool you.

The food is okay. Small portion for that price. Service is good though. Had the lamb and thyme and it was less than I expected. The salad was way better: mozzarella salad. There is an after tastes to the mashed potatoes, maybe it’s the milk they use.

I tried 4 cheese pizza here and it was really good. I did not like the personnel whose behavior was changing according to the customers. They asked some of the clients about cutting their pizza, and to some they didn’t.

The service and food was horrible!!! The restaurant is overpriced because it is in a highly touristic area. The waiter greeted us after waiting for 15 minutes at the table and it took 30 mins for a pizza marguerite. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Go to the smaller side street and get your meals cheaper and to experience better customer service.

Rigatoni Arrabiata! OMG, it was great! Great spicy tomato flavor and perfect al dente texture. The atmosphere is quite nice with brown tones and a huge portrait of the behinds of classy ladies on the wall. It’s a nice place to take a date… very classy and sophisticated, but not overly so. I came here for lunch on a Sunday so it was relatively quiet and our meals came out very quickly.

food good; service somewhere between terrible and really terrible = zero to be clear, I think it s a management problem, not a server problem arrived per reservation, told outdoors tables can’t be reserved. so I said how about that table, — oh no that’s reserved next mgr seated us inside without menus; seated two maybe three other parties next with menus and then I had to remind him when he passed by; 10 minutes later I asked the bartender for a bottle of water since no waiter showed up; another 10 minutes I had to walk to mgr and ask him who our waiter was; never clear if a waiter was assigned to us or not. a different server delivered food and forgot the Parmesan that my daughter requested; had to stand up 10 minutes later to get managers attention for Parmesan NOT exaggerating; and NOT crowded indoors

Unlike my Paris adventure, I was alone in Barcelona. Every time I went for dinner, I would get this: Host: You’re just by yourself? Me: Yeah Host: You’re not waiting for a wife, a girlfriend, anything? Me: No, just one. Host: That sucks. So just one. Here’s your wine list and your menu. Do you want, like, a magazine or something? It’s gonna be boring. if you’re just sitting by yourself. Me: I’ll be all right. Thank you. Host: I just would be so depressed. I figured that if I was going to eat alone, I may as well go full tourist. I threw on my Yankee hat, grabbed New York magazine and headed to Brown 33. I started with a barrata, tomato and arugula salad. I only recently had barrata for the first time but I’m a little obsessed now. This was great. The entrée was a 10 hour smoked lamb chop. Chop isn’t event the right word — it was two medallions of softened lamb meat that had been separated and infused with mushrooms and placed on a bed of mushroom sauce. Wow. It also came with these potato squares, which were kind of like a brick of hash browns. Good, but not worthy of the lamb. 15 minutes before the subway system would be shutting down, the waiter approached with the dessert menu. I told him that I had to get back to my hotel. I didn’t want to be out late in a city known for its pickpockets. I decided the safest thing to do was stay, order a mango cake purée in a crème and lychee sauce, and get home by waddling over a mile at 1AM. I made the right choice.
