Parece una hamburguesería más, de esas que se reproducen cual setas por la ciudad, pero en cuanto ves la parrilla que se han montado, empiezas a percibir que algo diferente se cuece. Todo tiene una pátina de fusión catalano-​brasileña, siendo su estrella la burger de picanha cortada a cuchillo. Además, sus bravas son excepcionales, las salsas son caseras y las patatas asadas. No es para nada barato, pero la calidad que dan es muy superior a otros negocios parecidos y super recomendados por la red. Yo prefiero este sitio.

Soy de esas que buscan la hamburguesa perfecta, como muchos, y la verdad es que aquí se acercan mucho! Carne jugosa, condimentos frescos, mazorcas y patatas, todo al carbón! La mazorca estaba buenísima, en serio, no se puede ir a De Paula sin probarla. No le doy 5 estrellas porque aunque estaba todo rico y la carne de tremenda calidad no es la típica carne de «burger». Creo que no me queda otra que repetir y comprobar, no creo que me cueste nada. Definitivamente el ambiente, sus amigables empleados y la comida tan rica vale la pena!

When people asked me what I missed about my native USA, I’d always say the same thing: «Cheeseburgers». Just that. Well, no more. In the past few years, Barcelona has filled up with enough good hamburger joints to put that lament to rest. But De Paula is the best. I’ve eaten here over a dozen times and the quality has never varied: perfectly cooked burgers on a perfectly-​toasted bun, every time. Homemade ketchup & mayo that add the finishing touches to the perfect burger. All at a price that can’t be beat: 6,2 € for my fave burger, the most classic model: the Vila-​Vilà. Try it; your only regret will be that De Paula has ruined every other burger joint for you forever.

New York, NY
One of the owners at Spice told us to check this place out. He said the locals love it and that we’d love it, too. I guess he didn’t realize that we’re from New York, where some of the best burgers are made. It’s a nice place with a good vibe, but I’m not too crazy about the thick white bun and the beef was too rare for us. Also, we found everything super salty. We ordered the first burger with cheese, the chicken burger, both potatoes, and the corn on the cob.

La hamburguesería de poble sec.
Pequeño local, ahora renovado y ampliado. Bien! Hamburguesas muy buenas y con varios sabores a escoger, además de estupendas y ricas patatas, y ni hablar de la mazorca de maíz asada. Esta vez me decidí por la Sortidor (Carne de Ternera, queso de cabra, pimiento escalivado, tomate y rucula) Deliciosa! Los chicos son muy amables y atentos, y de precios bastante razonables.
Una pega… para los que nos gusta el dulce, no hay postres :(

Me encantan las hamburgesas asi que un dia decidi de probar una De Paula por estar en mi barrio. Tuvimos suerte de encontrar sitio porque fuimos temprano (20.30h) El local es muy pequeño. Una vez pedido la comida, tuvimos que esperar un rato. el sabor rico aunque un poco seco. No llevaba mucha salsa. Tienes la opcion de añadir ketchup y mostaza. Me gustó la opcion del maiz a la brasa — buena idea.

Grand Central Station, NY
This is a very nice place to eat everything is absolutely delicious and made home. It’s really affordable (the most expensive burger is 8,90 €) and its near the Poble Sec station one the 3rd line. I discovered this place because I was on a trip for a week in Barcelona in the flat just in front of the restaurant. The cooks are really cool and you are served quick. Just try it!

Castellano: WOW! WOW! WOW !! Esta joya escondida en Barcelona. Está en una calle pequeña y poco visible en Poble Sec. Un pequeño restaurante de hamburguesas con asientos limitados pero un montón de carácter! Hamburguesas deliciosas y me gustó mucho el rostidero y una orden del maíz a la brasa! FATAL! Estaré de vuelta para más.
English: WOW! WOW! WOW! Such a hidden gem in Barcelona. It’s on a small, inconspicuous street in Poble Sec. A small burger restaurant with limited seating but a whole lot of character! Delicious burgers and I enjoyed the rostidero and a side order of the barbecued corn! FATAL! I will be back for more.

De Paula’s burgers are so good! I had the Vila Vila (sp?) and it was delicious. I also had the potatoes bravas (sp? Again) and they were to die for. Definitely get those along with your burger. The atmosphere is awesome and it’s such a cute little restaurant. Totally recommend!

Great burgers! You just fill out a little sheet marking what you want and the next thing you know you have an amazing meal in front of you. I got the most expensive burger (which was still only like € 8) and it was so good! The potates braves were also to die for! You have to get them! Overall great place to eat and have a hearty burger and the atmosphere is awesome! Definitely recommend!
