Delicious! Super friendly service and a wonderful shiitake burger! Yum!!! I ended up going back two nights later because it was so good!

I’m currently traveling through countries, and for the first time in two weeks I’ve had really good vegan food. Everything in this restaurant looks delicious, the fries are made like the animal style fries from, in and out — the California chain — it was so delicious.
Here’s an update to the review
We came in again today, different staff, just as friendly as the previous staff. Tried a different burger and bought every dessert ever. I love this place, I wish I had it in California.

I’m not a vegan and only went here bc I’m looking to unlock the Carrot Top badge (haha Martin) plus I had an hour to blow before Vaso de Oro opened and I could get my sirloin and peppers. I have no idea what goes into making a chocolate donut vegan, but must admit it was pretty good. Three stars bc the service was slow and there were way too many annoying vegans there taking 10min to order a vegan tea.

This place is amazing. highly recommend. Really enjoyed the selection of desserts and variety of veggie patties

Speedy service, tasty veggie burger. Loved having a place to stop in Barcelona where I didn’t have to worry about someone trying to feed me meat. Yum!

Enfin un restaurant Vegan digne de ce nom. Très bon Burger et donuts. Ma belle-​mère n’aime pas la nourriture Vegan mais a adoré son donuts… c’est tout dire ;-)

Went here while on holiday 5 minute walk and perfect place for a lifetime vegetarian, food was wonderful… wanted to try the hot dogs but were unavailable at the time… regardless of this I still recommend you check it out and it’s cheap

Highly recommended. Everything is fresh and organic. Most important, a very delicious vegan little restaurant. The only thing is that they don’t accept credit/​debit cards :/​so have your cash ready.

I was first introduced to this place by my vegan friend and have been a regular ever since! I’ve tried the burgers, the salad and the fries. All great! (And that’s coming from a non-​vegan) They even have vegan cheese you can ask to have melted on the fries. I’ve never eaten the desserts but I plan to! Good, economical place for those on diets as well! Salad is filling and very affordable!

Got a burger and a salad and both were good although a tad bit oily. The service is also good.

Das Gopal hat uns wirklich total positiv überrascht — erstmal reingekommen, war der Laden total voll. Kein Wunder, denn nahe an den großen Ramblas gelegen, ist vermutlich immer relativ viel los. Gopal ist eher ein kleinerer Laden mit Theke, kleiner Küche und etwa 3 – 4 Stehtischen mit Barhockern. Man kann das Essen auch Mitnehmen.
Bis wir allerdings bestellt haben, haben sich aber zum Glück auch zwei Sitzgelegenheiten aufgetan. Zu essen gab es verschiedene vegane Burger-​Patties mit leckerem Brot. Es gibt auch die Möglichkeit Menüs zu bestellen, also entweder Burger +Pommes+Getränk oder auch Burger ohne Brötchen dafür mit Salat und Getränk.
Alles in allem wirklich lecker und preiswert (was man bei vielen Läden in der Nähe der Ramblas nicht unbedingt behaupten kann).
Fazit: Suuuuuper Essensgelegenheit in Ramblas-​Nähe.

Pretty good vegan food and friendly service. I was happy. There is nothing fancy about this place, and the seating is limited for big groups. Lots of locals come here for takeouts. I wouldn’t mind going back again if I were visiting Barcelona!

Absolutely love this little vegan café! Definitely one of my favorites while traveling in Barcelona.
The only thing that would make it better would be if they can open earlier for breakfast.
They have a good variety of vegan desserts, croquettes, burgers, sandwiches and snacks.

The food is awful. The food made me feel sick, I’ve been vegan for months and this food was disgusting. The worst vegan food I’ve ever had. The vegan McDonald’s. And as icing on the cake the staff was racist and unwelcoming.

Was feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the animal protein i was eating in Phoenix and searched this place out as a more veggie centric alternative. i will say, the layout is nice and I like the display case of their vegan options, such as the variety of burgers — I had the mushroom one which was well, a bit too mushroom centric for me (I know, I ordered it, what was I expecting, right?), but my mother, also on the trip here, got a different one, which was much nicer. I also did not care for the sandwich format, a bit too much vegan mayo on the veggie burger but I did like the homemade fries with vegan mayo — I would recommend the veggie burger with a salad option and a nice selection of euro specific sodas — I had the pomegranate one for an extra half a euro on the meal deal. Honestly, at home, in the states, I might give this place 3 stars but it is just so different from anything else I came across in the old town part of Barcelona that I felt it deserved another star.

Amis Végétariens, végétaliens… Vous pouvez y aller, rien de suspect dans l’assiette et le prix est très correct.

A good spot for a quick bite, the burgers are good value and filling. It’s also nice to have vegetables in a form other then potatas bravas.
I’d recommend taking out as there’s not very much seating.
The burgers are much better than the fries.

Gopal is my favorite vegan eatery in Barcelona! The sandwiches are super messy and delicious and the potatoes are delicious & positively drenched in yummy sauce. Even though it physically pains me to do so, I eat every bite and STILL soldier my way through a donut afterwards.
The service is pretty slow for a deli environment but it’s definitely worth it.
Bonus points for all the cool vegan posters & art on the walls.

I’m not a vegan or even vegetarian but I am always curious and like to try new stuff. I read some of the posts about this food joint from fellow Unilocalers and decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed!
The place itself is easily found in the old town in Barcelona, and it was ironic to find it next to a Greek place that specializes in meat sandwiches :) My only regret is that the place is pretty small so not really made for groups (it’s technically not a restaurant though, it’s a Deli)
As a complete novice in vegan food, I talked to the couter guy and he recommended the millet, and it was… incredible. It REALLY tastes and feels like meat but with this spicy flavor that makes the whole thing melt in your mouth. I tried their green tea but did not really like it (not yet a true vegan).
The guy at the counter was really patient and helpful in explaining everything to me based on what I like and gave me the best recommendations.
Very good experience, I would definitely come back

Gopal was part of my Quest for Cheap Sandwiches in Barcelona; the place was on my list of must-​try food joints, mostly because I don’t have a lot of good options for yummy veg places/​food where I live, so it’s always a delight to find good veg places outside the country.
And you know what’s also a delight? Finding out that the guy behind the counter is good-​looking. I asked him which sandwich he’d recommend (their bestseller). He suggested 1. I ordered something else. He might’ve been a little annoyed with me. I would’ve been annoyed with me. This wasn’t the first time I did this. I’m not sure why I bother asking.
I was a little busy taking pictures & thinking «I’m putting this on Unilocal» when I saw my «para llevar» (to go) order being waved around in the air, after about 5 minutes. I thought, «oh», grabbed it & walked out, slightly embarrassed.
My plan was to eat about a third of that spicy chorizo sandwich (or burger) for dinner. I ended up eating most of it, because it was so yummy. It cost € 4+.
Gopal. Go there for yummy yet affordable veg food in Barcelona.

All vegan restaurant in the barrio gotic. Great for lunch or take out dinner. There are only a handful of chairs inside. Interesting assortment of quinoa, lentil, soy protein and rice burger patties. Either on their own for 1.85 EUR, with salad or on a bun. Super cheap. Side salad is small but loaded with goodies like avocado, olives, corn, sundried tomatoes and olives. Very tasty and filling.
Be sure to grab some vegan cheese for your morning baguette while you are here. The potato tortilla is also a winner.
They have an assortment of delectable looking vegan cakes as well but I had to resist after my morning splurges at La Boqueria food market.

Great vegan restaurant with a lot of variety of veggie burgers. The quiona with algae is very tasty. The Dahl pattie is a little bland but still tasty. Burgers can come with buns or with a salad instead. They often have specials which include little potato fries (like hashbrowns) and a drink.
Their display case shows all their veggie burgers and also baked goods. Their chocolate donuts are tasty. The chocolate coating is very yummy and the donut I quit soft. A must try for all you vegan donut lovers.
They also serve a variet of beverage from kombucha, juices and water to espresso! Great little spot with seating for about 8. The spot by the entrance is the best spot as there is an open window where you can feel the cool breeze and watch the people walking by.

Très bon burgers végétarien et carte complète, par contre le service est un peu lent et il n’y a pas beaucoup place dans le restaurant.
Nourriture excellente et quartier convivial.
