Very popular over the weekend, the typical
Dish here is of course paella.
Their wine list is also very good with classic Spanish and regional wineries.
This place is popular among a both locals and tourist.
If you planning on going over the weekend it is highly advisable to make a reservation as you make not be able to get a table.

Excellent and highly recommended. wife had lobster while I had steak (Solomillo spelling?) and like most high end restaurants the portion sizes aren, t huge but very good quality. We also had Sangria, very good not too sweet. Lobster was excellent Solomillo was good but a bit fatty, I didn’t mind but some might.
We went on Samana Santa and the place was packed, we were lucky to get in.
Would definately return.

Our last night in Barcelona. The restaurant we intended to eat at was close c or renovation. 4 people a bottle of wine and water 2 appetizers and 3 entrée for 89 euro.

What a perfect way to spend my last night in Barcelona. After a very long walk and search for quality seafood we stumbled across this gem. Right on the beach. Open late, friendly staff, and amazing food.

Hier bin ich oft gewesen wenn ich Gäste hatte, sie gerne Fisch essen und ich sie besonders beeindrucken wollte!
Die Location direkt am Bogatellstrand ist einmalig! Von der schönen, schattigen Terasse hat man einen direkten Blick auf’s Meer! Man kann dem regen Treiben der Leute zuschauen, einen kühlen Weisswein trinken, und wirklich guten Fisch in grossen Portionen Essen! Ausserdem sind die Preise hier auch noch recht preiswert.
Natürlich ist dies nicht das versteckteste Restaurant und man teilt es sich mit recht vielen Touristen. Aber das Preis-​Leistungsverhältnis stimmt einfach bei dieser Top-​Location! Nicht zuviel futtern wenn es danach noch auf einen Sprung in’s Wasser geht! ;)

We are visiting from USA and met a business contact of my husband ‘s here for paella– it was wonderful !
We had tomato toast then salad with tuna, eggs and tomato– lovely.
Next seafood paella accompanied with white wine. Delicious!
Then black rice seafood paella with aioli and red wine to drink — so great we can’t wait to go back!
Finally– profiteroles ! Amazing!

I always come here with my family, and we love it!
The food is really good, the service is good.
I always get fish, which is always really really good. They also serve paellas, black rice, soups, etc. Everything is always absolutely scrumptious.
The most common time to come here would be during the summer since it’s right on the beach, but during the winter it’s really nice too.
In Barcelona and especially on it’s beaches, it’s really hard to decide which restaurant to choose when you’re looking for a meal, and I think this is one of the best in the area!

El verano pasado tuve a la familia alojada en la ciudad durante unos días. Su plan de vacaciones era el del animal spanish de sol y playa y vermut y comilonas hasta las 6 de la tarde que terminan en puro y copa. Yo tampoco me resistí de manera exagerada, es más, me dejé llevar y descubrí otra forma de vivir Barcelona.
Playita de mañana, cañita de chiringuito, arroz de L’Escamarlà. Se aficionaron tanto al plan que fue difícil arrastrarles hasta la cola del bus turístico (tuvo que ponerse el cielo gris, no les digo más).
Con todo el marisco recibiéndote en una pecera a la entrada, L’Escamarlà se pone a rebosar en cuanto el sol empieza su dura jornada de verano. Reservábamos a media mañana y a la hora de comer hacíamos un homenaje a la gastronomía y la parsimonia mediterránea. Sangría, cigarrito en la parte de terraza y surtido de arroces. La fideuá y la paella de marisco se llevaron mi ovación más sincera; el arroz negro fue otro cantar.
Si van, hagan el favor de no llenarse con el plato fuerte y dejen hueco al postre porque probablemente será lo que recuerden con más ganas de relamerse. Manjares caseros exquisitos y trabajados con dedicación que te mandarán a la siesta más placentera en la playa de Bogatell. Suerte que el restaurante está en primera línea y el camino hasta la toalla estará reducido a escuetos pasos.

Fenómeno curioso: cuando hace sol en Barcelona me entran unas ganas de ir a la playa que no puedo reprimir. Creo que no soy la única, porqué cuando hace sol (y especialmente si es domingo) el Restaurante «l’Escamarlá» se llena hasta los topes. Claro, ya que bajas a la playa, pues te tomas un arrocito. ¿No? Los camareros van locos con tanta gente. A veces hay cola… y cuando tu ya estás terminando a eso de las 16h, todavía hay gente que espera para comer. Bueno, ya se sabe, los domingueros no tenemos horario para comer, especialmente si hace buen tiempo y estás cerca del mar. Un clásico del famoso combinado «Playa-​vino-​arroz-​y-​siesta-​espectacular».
