L’Estanc de Laietana

Holy Cuban cigars! This might be my favorite cigar store outside of Cuba. Very small and unassuming store. From the outside and after you enter, you’ll be asking yourself, «Where are the cigars?» After you speak to the staff, you’ll be invited to «follow them» to «The Cave».
Cave you say? Yes. I say cave. Down a few flights of stairs and you’ll find yourself in a climate controlled cave filled with, I would estimate over 100,000 cigars. Beyond the fact that size of the selection is impressive, the service is impeccable. Never did I feel rushed or in a hurry. Prices are excellent. In fact, cigar prices in Spain are set and you shouldn’t find a store selling a particular cigar for any more or any less than any other particular store.
Whenever I’m in Barcelona (which is never too often), I make a point to visit «The Cave.»
