Sitio más que recomendable para los amantes del vino. Tienen una amplísima selección de caldos de diferentes regiones del globo. Hecho a faltar una atención más proactiva, ya que en una ocasión nos aconsejaron y la verdad que acertaron enormemente. Para eso, la verdad que en mi bodega del barrio son bastante buenos. Así que dejo a Vila Vinateca para aquellos días en los que prefiero perderme en un océano de vinos. Y si tienes alguna petición especial te la traen y te llaman cuando la tienen

Tienda de referencia en Barcelona tanto en el surtido de vinos y destilados como en la zona de productos delicatessen. Más de 350 referencias en quesos artesanos nacionales e internacionales, jamones y embutidos, y muchos más productos gourmets. Pequeña zona de degustación para probar cualquiera de sus exquisitos productos. Mi tienda preferida sin duda.

Tienen una súper extensa selección de vinos, cavas, champagnes e incluso licores a todo tipo de precio. Aquí puedes dejarte aconsejar con garantía que te encontraran un vino adecuado para tu ocasión! Si quieres un vino que en ese momento no tienen en estoc, pues pueden pedirlo a la bodega y conseguírtelo. Como la tengo cerquita de casa, y mi presupuesto es siempre bastante ajustado, siempre que voy le pido al dependiente que me encuentre una botella baratita, y a veces me han dado absolutas y deliciosas gangas.
La tienda me encanta! Sólo entrar y tienes el mostrador delante, rodeado de botellas y botellas, y a la izquierda esos estantes repletos de botellas. Es como una de esas bibliotecas antiguas, en que se han sustituido los libros por botellas, es fantástica!
Lo mejor, es que organizan catas, así también te dan la oportunidad de conocer mejor y sumergírte en el mundo de este elixir de dioses.

I came specifically looking for sherry wines on the recommendation of one of Barcelona’s most gourmet restaurants. Vila Viniteca had about ten or so sherries, but only a handful of Amontillado. The service was excellent, but they just didn’t have enough selection relative to my expectation. I think the store should still be visited to browse their overall inventory, but not a mega selection of sherry wine.

Incredible selection of wine. There were bottles here from 1940s which I loved looking at but sadly can’t afford. You must go here if you’re a wine lover.
They have wines from all over the world but mainly wines and cava from Spain. Also a decent selection from the Languedoc region in Southeast France as well.
Friendly and helpful staff as well. We bought 5 bottles which they happily bubble wrapped so we can take it back home. Also when we were leaving, I noticed they were doing tastings of 2 wines. I asked to try but since they were closing, there were no glasses available. So they offered to just give me the half full bottle of wine that turned out to be excellent.
If you want to do a tasting, be sure to book at least a day in advance. You can also go next door to the wine shop that’s like a deli and get a glass of wine there. Most of the glasses range from 4 – 7 euro from what I saw. We got a few glasses of red wine from Spain to try and a glass of cava. The cava was one of the best I had the entire trip. Reasonably priced too since 4 euro for a glass of cava was typical. We also tried a whole bunch of cheeses from Spain which was a great and delicious experience.
Definitely stop by if you want to marvel at their wine selection. Or if you want to experience some of the best wines, cava and cheeses from Spain.

There’s good, affordable wine in pretty much every supermarket in Barcelona. But if you want something special, whether from the region or from anywhere else in the world (not to mention a price range that is just as varied), this is the place to go. The staff speak multiple languages and could not be any friendlier or helpful. Be sure to try the cava; it’s wonderful!

Great place I really should give it 5 but I never give 5! Huge wine selection including many high end bottles. Friendly staff and real prices. This review is for THE store as I have not Tried the all eats next door yet…

It’s a great wine shop and also a deli with all sorts of magic in it.
I came here many times and could never leave, not without wanting to buy and eat… everything!
Get a few tins of Spanish canned seafood (trust me) especially the anchovies and clams, you can thank me later.

I came to this place in October of 2010 in search of wines for my friends. There are several reasons why I came to this place:
1) I don’t know much about Spanish wine and needed a gift for my friend’s husband who happens to know all sorts of wine since he works in a restaurant
2) I wanted to show my gratitude since they hosted me while I stayed with them
3) I was also visiting her mother that weekend and she hosted me back in 2003
4) Birthday party that weekend
From the outside, it looks like a regular wine shop however, once inside, you’re overwhelmed by the selections in front of you.
I was fortunate enough to find a representative who spoke English and took the time to explain several of the Spanish wines. She asked questions and listened patiently as I’m pretty indecisive. She took the time to explain how the wines are grown and how it fit each palate. I wasn’t rushed at all and never gave me the glazed look of boredom.
I think I spent about 30 minutes thinking about the 6 bottles she showed me until I made my decision. I ended up purchasing two bottle, both red and unfortunately I’m blanking on the specific names. I do remember the care the woman took to wrap the bottles up in boxes as I was traveling by train and she taped them up to provide enough support so it won’t break through.
I really appreciated the time she took for me and definitely a fan of this place!

Vila Vinateca es una importante distribuidora de vinos en España –sobre todo en Catalunya– pero es también una tienda de vinos de referencia (de hecho, así comenzó, como colmado desde el año 1932) situada en el Born de Barcelona. En Vila Vinateca tienen más de 6.000 referencias de vinos, nacionales e internacionales, convirtiéndose en algo así como un lugar de peregrinación para los aficionados al vino. Imprescindible.

Porque son muy majos, porque saben cómo maridarte un Albariño con unos macarrones y porque casi siempre tienen lo que buscas a un precio estupendo. Es mi tienda de vinos desde hace años y para mí una de las ofertas vinícolas más importantes de la ciudad. No por sus vinos, por su conocimiento, organización de eventos y por sus habituales cursos de cata.
Sin embargo, últimamente echo de menos más oferta de vinos orgánicos, biodinámicos y, sobre todo, sin (o con pocos) sulfitos. Esto es el futuro chicos! Aunque también es verdad que la producción de bueno ¡buenos! vinos orgánicos o bjaso en sulfitos todavía es más bien tímida.
Por cierto, su tienda Gourmet situada justo al otro lado de la calle también es una gozada, aunque menos amiga de la economía en tiempos de moderación.
