Syra

Our first visit to Syra happened as we strolled the neighborhood longing for coffee. We decided to check out my Unilocal-​bookmarks to see if anything could tempt us. Syra was on top of my list as it was currently a «hot new place» on the Unilocal-​app.
We found the place easily, as it kind of stood out from the rest of the street. The tiny, wooden entry would be tempting for me even if i was just another bypasser as the place screams hip, trendy and Scandinavia. A glaze trough the window revealed a small room with white and wood-​interior and coffee-​related magazines on the wall. I just found my favorite place.
Arriving right before closing time we were not sure if we would have time to enjoy our coffee indoors, but luckily for us our barista was both talkative and friendly, and more than happy to share the story about how Syra came to be. More than time enough to enjoy both our tasty coffees and amazing doughnuts from Lukumas, in other words.
A perfect ending to our day in this part of town, and a new fav to add to my Barcelona-​list. Ill be back and so should you!

Capuchino y pastel de zanahoria es la clave. Tienen una berlina rellena de te verde que me habría gustado probar. Si queréis un café para llevar vale la pena.

Syra tiene uno de los cafés más ricos del barrio. Siempre con algo de arte en la espuma de la leche. Es muy acogedor, y lindo. Muy lindo. Todo en sistema: madera, blanco y kraft. Muy cuidado. Poco espacio, más que nada para llevarte un café al paso. Un must: carrot cake.

Go get your coffee here! Not only do they have tasty coffee and delicious pastries (love the carrot cake), but the service is great and sincere. The space is beautiful as well and really makes you want to sit down and enjoy your experience.

Una mañana fría de invierno, paras un momento y te tomas un café excelente supercremoso mientras escuchas buena música o lees una revista de arte. MOLA

Nuevo local que ofrece café gourmet en Gracia. Son vecinos del Messie sin gluten (¡la calle Siracusa se está poniendo interesante!).
Ofrecen el café de Café Onna, uno de los grandes templos del café en Gràcia y en todo Barcelona. La chica que lo lleva va expresamente a Costa Rica y escoge la parcela del café que a ella le parece, es decir, queda involucrada desde el inicio del proceso hasta el final (torran aquí el café).
Tienen distintos tipos de leche (almendra, avena…) y el local aunque no tenga mesas es muy acogedor, todo de madera y con algún espacio donde sentarte. También ofrecen algo de dulces (galletas, tartas…) y el chico que lo lleva es un encanto, por lo tanto, ¡5 estrellas merecidísimas!

Carrer de Siracusa debe de ser una de las calles afortunadas de Barcelona, ya que en ella puedes encontrar dos sitios increíbles.
La cafeteria Syra, recién abierta ofrece un café espectacular y lo puedes combinar con leche de avena o de almendra. Yo probé un cappuccino con leche de almendra y estaba genial: cremoso e intenso, como nos gusta a los italianos.
Es un local muy minimalista, no tiene mes y solo un banquillo si te quieres sentar. De todas formas es el tipico sitios donde ir cuando necesitas un café caliente para llevar sin perder mucho tiempo!
El chico que sirve los cafes es muy simpatico y atento.
Cuando me encontraré por la zona volveré a tomar los espectaculares cafes de Syra!

This brand new business is the kind of place that puts a smile on my face when I’m visiting Barcelona.
¡No hay solo ‘café con leche’ aquí!
Fantastic coffee from a super friendly barista, the usual Monocle magazines and background music while you sip your beverage and a selection of tiny tasty bites para postres.
Despite all the evidence, I still maintain that I’m not a coffee snob, but if i *were* one, I’d be more than happy to recommend this place to my fellow coffee snobs.
