My husband and I stopped here on a whim as we walked by. It is small and the atmosphere is intimate but casual. We did not order anything too complicated, French cheese board and cecina(cured beef preparation) but it was very delicious. Along with a tasty amuse bouche and a special effort by the bartender/waiter to make a out of the ordinary non-alcoholic drink for my husband made this one of those unexpected special meals. A very delicious chocolate cake for dessert topped it off.

Traveling with foodies is the best. Traveling with super hungry, sleep deprived, grumpy, tired foodies. you’re bound to make a bad call. We popped in for a drink… on our way to our restaurant of choice. The bartender was sweet and accommodating. This place is tiny and us four, including the bartender, were the only ones in. We’re a friendly bunch and make friends wherever we go, so it seemed like a party in there. Good times! The bartender(wish I could remember his name) made us some drinks. My buddies each ordered a Mojito, which usually, I can’t stand. Lemme tell ya, this was hands down the best Mojito I have ever tasted. I was truly impressed. After tasting that, I told him to make something up for me using vodka. He proceeded to make a Sour Apple Martini, not with flavored vodka, no! But with fresh apples!!! And, the best white and brown sugar blend ever. Everything here is homemade. I was totally impressed. I could not believe this drink! We all kind of looked at each other and agreed we would have a bit there and then walk around afterward, until it was time to go to the other restaurant. The bartender told us that the chef came from a restaurant with a Michelin Star. Ooh la la! Okay, brother, we’ll stay! The chef started in about half an hour, so we finished up our drink and eventually moved to a table. Once the chef came in, so did the new bartender and away we went with the ordering. I ordered an Ojo Rojo, a Mexican styled drink, which was fabulous! The food finally arrived and it was… weird. The fish tasted off, or a day away from being off. Some other fish dish had a very peculiar texture and the ham was just not good. By the time the food had arrived, so did our Spanish buddy. He agreed that the food was not good and we all left after each of us sampling each dish. Off we went for the original restaurant The moral: come for the drinks!!! Leave for good food. Oh yeah, PS… I think they only had one CD as it played, on repeat, three times while we were there. Yeah, we noticed. We weren’t that drunk!
