Sad to see this place go! It was a great spot for lunch. It’s a lot more customizable than Chipotle, and the quality of the food is better in my opinion. There are lots of vegetarian options, and the staff was always very friendly. Hopefully one opens up someone nearby.

Besides the fact that the food is delicious, the customer service was top knotch. We had to wait a few extra minutes(god forbid!) for our food, and the cashier comped us a drink, a brownie cake and a cookie. All for waiting a lousy couple minutes!

This is one of my favorite burrito spots when I have a craving. I get the monster burrito with light cilantro rice, double carnitas, extra garlic and lime juice. The food here is so fresh and done right and I would highly recommend this burrito spot.

Absolutely the best line-burrito restaurant I’ve ever experienced. I come here on a regular basis for my lunch break as I work right up the street, and there are countless options to make your burrito a masterpiece. You get to chose from 5 different tortillas, my personal favorite being the cayenne pepper tortilla which is a bright orange color and has a very unique zesty taste. Then you have 3 different types of beans to chose from, black, pinto, or re-fried. Then they have different cheese options, amazing sauces, and so on. The customer service is impeccable, being extremely personable and make you feel like they really do want you to be satisfied with your burrito. It’s definitely worth what you pay for. The meat and produce is ALWAYS fresh, and their queso sauce is phenomenal, as well as their guacamole. Best place ever.

There use to be a Freebirds in Simi Valley, but I’m glad that there is one 25 mins always. Haven’t had one in a few years, and today it was delicious, can’t wait to go back when I start craving it again.

I haven’t eaten at Freebirds for a while but my kids were in the mood for nachos and tacos so off we went. The service was terrible. The employees threw our food together as fast as they could without any care for making it look presentable. It looked like slop and was lukewarm. They just wanted to dump it on a plate and hurry us along. They forgot to add items I asked for because they were in such a hurry. I’m not sure why because there was no line behind us. I felt as if I was bothering the employees by asking for food. The food had no taste and was just as disappointing as the service. Many of the employees also appeared to be dirty. I know the restaurant has a «grunge» feel but the workers looked as if they could use a good shower. That’s not the look I’m hoping for when someone is touching my food. I will not be returning.

Tried this Freebirds location for a second time. I have to say I had a much better experience. I ordered Nachos with carnitas, rice, beans, and quest sauce. It was HUGE… Loved it. It was so big I could only finish a fraction of the nachos. I asked for a box and the server behind the counter carefully covered my plate and double rubber banded it for me and placed a fork for my leftovers. Nice touch.

Super friendly staff that helped my picky kid make his burrito. Vegan options, yay. Tattooed staff — always good. Burrito was pretty decent. Definitely better than chipotle.

The food isn’t the problem. It’s like chipotle but slightly less tasty. The syrup style salsa is awful. Ask for extra pico de gayo, because the green and whatever the red sauce is, does not belong on Mexican food. If chipotle was closer we’d, go there instead. There’s always someone behind the counter that would rather be somewhere else. Never fails. Tonight was extra special… I ordered a salad and two tacos which they gave me in a paper bag. The tacos were wrapped in one sheet of aluminum each. By the time I got home the bag had decomposed and the passenger seat of my car is soaked down to the bolts and forever will smell of free range, over priced chipotle.

This place used to be pretty decent but it’s gone down hill. Luckily, there is a Chipotle a couple exits away now. Usually, I take my order to go but maybe it’s better if you eat there? Not sure I will be giving this place another chance. 3 strikes and you’re out.

Personally, I prefer chipotle but free bird is differentiated by more Choices. HONESTLY, I Wasn’t REALLY A Fan of all the choices but I recognize how nice options are. Overall, still a good burrito at a decent price(maybe a tad overpriced).

The food is excellent and the service is really good! I haven’t tried the desserts. It’s a little on the pricey side but in my opinion it’s worth it for the quality food you get. I also like the venue itself, it has a lot of character.

SALTY! Freebirds catered a work event at my office with a «burrito bar» a week ago, and just about everything was disgusting. The chicken and beef fillings were overcooked, salty and dry, the black and pinto beans were salty and otherwise flavorless, and even the SALSA was overloaded with sodium… Wait, does that mean it’s actually SALTsa? I would never willingly eat this crap food ever again, and would certainly never pay for it. The tortillas were ok, and the tortilla chips weren’t too salty. The guacamole was passable. Everything else was disgusting, and basically hypertension in a burrito shell.

Great service, great people, and most importantly fast Food! I’m sorry, but I hate Chipotle and this place put belief back in me about the build-your-own burritos. It’s actually amazing and totally worth the price

A much cooler Chipotle with a bigger selection. More burrito sizes and flavors, more meats, more toppings, more sauces, huge fan of that! Great service, fair prices, I got the small, my husband the largest size and it was insane just how big it was, there is really no way one can eat the entire thing in one sitting. Flavors were great, they let you sample anything to make sure you like it, glad to see them expanding all over, nice change on what we all know and love!

Walking in while«All day and all of the night» was rockin’, was a great way for Freebirds to make a fantastic first impression with this Unilocaler. This is Mexicana-Americana at its best: rock and roll, motorcycles, and fricken godzilla-sized burritos. This is like Chipotle on steroids. INSTRUCTIONS — Freebirds is very serious about their burritos, so much so, they even believe they need to provide instructions on how to eat it. Seriously, I was informed how to peel back and push-up the burrito thru it’s cozy aluminum jacket. HELLOFREEBIRDPEOPLE — I’m practically made of burrito(if only I wasn’t already full of burgers, fries, and shakes). With a similar setup to the Mexican«build it» competitors, you tell the burrito-master what you want: SIZEMATTERS — 4 sizes: Small(already a nice large size) to Freebird, Monster, and Super Monster(I’ve never seen anything else like this, anywhere). It’s 6+ pounds! TORTILLAS — three flavors, with 2 sizes of flour tortillas, and corn ones, too. BURRITOGUTS — Or, the«insides»: choices of meats(carnitas, steak, chicken, and veggies), 2 kinds of rice, cheeses, 3 types of beans, salsas, sour cream, avocado, and beyond! REVYOURTASTEBUDS — If hot and spicy salsas are not enough, they’ve added speed to the salsa bar with a motorcycle handlebar. If that aint cool, I don’t know what is. MYCHOICE — A «freebird classic»(the 2nd smallest), and was way too much already. I stuffed myself to get it down, and no – it’s not good to eat in the car while driving. Strategy is needed to eat(instructions may have actually been useful if I listened). I ordered the flour tortillas, with Spanish rice, jack cheese, refried beans, carnitas, and sour cream. Seriously, a small family could’ve shared this with me – it was LOADED. Price: $ 7.35 + tax. CONCLUSION — Don’t really know how unique the food is, but the style(cool instead of clean/contemporary), and the varied sizes… make this place a good choice compared to others of its category. Let’s all pray theres enough room for another fast-food Mexican place… so the Freebirds don’t fly away anytime soon.

I would say it pretty good — healthy choices The manager was pretty cool and actually gave me some good suggestions The only problem I have is there is no deals to get a drink included in a combo for cheap– if you get a drink it turns your bill way up so if looking to stay under $ 10 get anything without a drink or chips. There’s stuff you can add to the burrito, but it adds up to the bills so you’ll be looking pass $ 10 if you add. That is my only issue, the proteins portion they put in is not even a half a cup, very disappointing. Nonetheless, it is tasty. The price is what brings it to 3.5 starts.
