Unfortunately, the store location in Algonquin CLOSED earlier this year.

Excellent customer service. I was looking for a lamp and Jennifer went out of her way to call the nearby stores to look for it. Went back the next day and it was magically there! I was so excited!

I guess there is one of these in the Lombard/​Downers Grove area, however I’ve never heard of this place till a friend told me about it. We were killing some time in the area and decided to stop in this place, and I’m glad we did.
I’m not really a fan of TJ Maxx or Marshalls, pretty much because I really don’t have the patience to sort through the stuff, especially the clothes. This place is definitely a step above — as it’s organized, and everything is easy to find, at least in the clothes section. There are some name brand things — I came across some Guess brand purses. The clearance clothes were an additional 33% off so I ended up getting a pair of hello kitty pajama pants that are fleece for like $ 3, maybe even less and I’m still able to wear them with the weather still being cold. I picked up a few other things too. I will definitely go back here for some bargain shopping and to discover the other areas in the store I didn’t in my last visit like shoes, and home goods.

I’m sorry, but I beg to differ with the previous review. This by no means is an upscale Marshalls or TJ Maxx. Possibly the setup is a bit more «upscale» if you would call it that, but finding a «name brand» is somewhat difficult. I didnt look at the home goods section, but the clothing and jewelry was extremely unimpressive. Although, it did look like they had a large setup of perfume/​cologne with testers. Like I said its setup a bit better than Marshalls and TJ Maxx, but thats about it.
I didn’t purchase anything, so I cant comment on the customer service.

I have been to Gordman’s a few times and have never walked out of there unhappy. I really like the house-​y area. I wish I had more wall-​space because I found a bunch of stuff I would like to decorate with.

Cool place. Think of it in terms of an upscale Marshall’s or TJMaxx. Lots of name brand stuff, some of which may be seconds, and great prices. The home goods section is quite expansive and they have some really neat stuff. Definitely give this place a try.
Oh, I would be remiss if I didn’t point out that just this evening, I witnessed the young lady at the register search high and low for 5 minutes looking for a calculator so that she could subtract $ 3 from $ 9. No joke.

Excellent customer service and their clothing selection is really affordable and stylish. Their housewares dept. can’t be beat!
