Traditional breakfasts, nothing too complicated, just the way I like it! The restaurant is modern and pleasing to the eye, cool atmosphere, friendly staff, although it was pretty empty the day we went.

Tina’s is very close to home so I visit quite frequently. I love the place for breakfast even though I order everything but that. I love the quality of the food and from the preperation I can tell its made with close detail. The place is cozy and has that warm ambiance which makes you feel at home. Make sure to endulge in the dollar bloody marys which is a great treat for the early morning. The service is always good and every server is their with a welcoming smile. The place does get busy but they handle it really well and I cant remeber a time waiting because of it. I would say this is one of the top places to eat in Allen Park.

This is probably the best place for breakfast in a 5 mile radius. Unfortunately, that isn’t saying very much. Tina’s tries to keep things interesting, and often has specials that you wouldn’t find at other diners… but…they don’t have waffles, they’re way too heavy-handed with the cheese, and it’s not uncommon for food to be over or undercooked. This last item is understandable(though not acceptable) because Tina’s is always hoppin’. They always have Fox News on the televisions, and there are framed pictures of a creepy cartoonish chef all over the wall(dollar store find?). Other than that there’s nothing going on, décor-wise. They also have a table that is impossibly close to the front door, which makes for a very chilly breakfast if you sit there in the winter. Oh, and good luck trying to have a conversation… it gets pretty loud. Service is generally ok. Never been great, never been horrible in my experience. Coffee cup stays full, though I have seen servers talking on their cellphones on the floor, while the place was full. Prices are very reasonable, and if you get there early enough, they have specials that are dirt cheap. Overall, Tina’s is alright by me, but I wouldn’t fall over myself to eat there. If you’re in the area, and want breakfast that’s a notch above a coney island, go here… but don’t expect much more than that.

My office is right around the corner from Tina’s and we order in a ton of lunches for teams meeting in our space. They are courteous, quick, and have never messed up even the most complicated of special orders. Happy to support a great local business!

Mmmmm breakfast. There is nothing like a mid afternoon breakfast for me, much preferred than in the morning. We had business in Allen Park today and decided to swing by this generally well reviewed spot for a bit of brekkie. My husband opted for the big breakfast combo. Three eggs, pancakes, toast and all the meats. I went with the southern omelette; sausage, green peppers, onions and cheese folded around hash browns and smothered in sausage gravy. This was served with toast, I opted for rye. I also asked for a side of hash browns too as I was über hungry. Everything was super tasty for me. The perfect and creamy sausage gravy made the omelette delightful, the veggies in it were not overcooked and added lots of flavor too. My toast was the perfect shade of golden brown and lightly buttered. The hash browns were thin-ish little circles of absolute crispy heaven, my husband was thrilled to have to help me to finish them. My husband was very pleased with his scrambled eggs. His breakfast meats were nicely cooked, he especially enjoyed the bacon which he feels is ruined at too many other places. This was floppy as ordered, which is his preferred style. He liked the little pancakes a lot and the fact they brought him his own bottle of syrup and soft packets of butter. He ordered white toast which is a mistake in my book but hey I don’t have to eat it. Service was friendly and super fast. The restaurant is clean, roomy and comfy. Everyone really makes you feel at home and cared for, even newbies like us. Prices are fair, portions are generous and things taste fresh. We already have plans to return to sample some lunch food.

I have been to Tina’s only a handful of times but everything was so yummy. I usually go for my faves and get a panini or the chicken salad wrap — I think I need to branch out a bit next time. I can’t believe there is this cute little café so close to home. I’m in love!

This will be an experience I will never forget. I got lost on my way there due to construction on the freeway. My GPS unaware, kept giving me messed up directions. Anyhow, I make it there and immediately find parking in front. I was excited because i had read the reviews and was looking forward to some good breakfast food. I packed some reading material to catch up on and in I went. The moment I walked in I felt the whole room stop. Sort of like in a movie — when some freak of nature walks in the door. Everyone’s eyes were on me and it looked like they had no clue why i was there.(whoa!) I wanted to disappear right out of this place and run to the car. I didn’t go– but I also didn’t stay. I ordered my food to go and stood by the counter uncomfortably until my food was ready and paid for. The place is definitely made up of locals — families with kids, mom and dads with Detroit sport team clothing. It makes sense. Who goes to Allen Park, MI for vacation??? hello. wish i would have made sense of this before i trekked out there. Allen Park isn’t the most diverse place in Michigan — so i stood out like a sore thumb. If i was with someone else, I probably wouldn’t have cared — but being alone in that awkward atmosphere… NOTHANKS! the food was good. so good it put me to sleep. i ordered the biscuit and gravy scramble. although i could have used some hot sauce — it hit the spot and knocked me out.

Tina’s is a wonderful little restaurant tucked nicely in our downtown area, the food is awesome. Everytime we go in there, we leave with big smiles on our faces. Their Blueberry Pancakes are to die for, and there is an omelet smothered in gravy that my better half can’t get through without mentioning how awesome it is at least 10 times… I also love love love their italian panini… never disappoints, it is good food in a nice neighborhood… I love it!

I said to myself«The first time was a fluke. We just caught them on a good day». So the hubs and I went back this weekend. Once again Tina’s, you have outdone yourself. Hubs ordered the biscuit scrambler(eggs, cheese, and biscuit gravy all heaping over a big biscuit) with a side of french toast. Now I may be wrong, but I don’t remember him exhaling once during his entire meal. When his feast ended, he described the experience as ‘other worldly’. I strayed off the menu and ordered something random. Grilled chicken with swiss cheese and mushrooms. I realize this is basic stuff, but they were able to take blah food and turn them into a rock concert of flavor. Delish! The same lady at the counter was there to greet us with a huge smile and friendly conversation. Dang, I really need to get her name.

Absolutely loved this cute, clean diner! The waitstaff was friendly, and the overall atmosphere was very«neighborhood» and family friendly. The food was very good(I highly recommend the buffalo chicken sandwich), and very cheap. My fiancé and I stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday, and were pleasantly surprised to discover that Wednesdays were«half off»! Reading the previous reviews, I can see that Tina’s is a great place for breakfast — I’d like to add that its also a great place for lunch!

Me and my husband are regulars here– as it is about 4 blocks from our home. You can’t get a better priced breakfast special– anywhere, and the hometown service makes you feel all warm and cozy.

I was debating between 3 stars and 4 stars — it really deserves 3 and ½ stars. I will give this place another shot though because I didn’t order breakfast. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich with a side of tuna mac and a cherry coke. The sandwich was good — not great — but hey it’s a sandwich. I did not like the tuna mac at all — wasn’t even mac — it was egg noodles with tuna, undercooked peas, and dill with a little mayo. I will give them credit for not overdoing in on the mayo — not in the«mac» and not on the sandwich — that part was definately good. So why not 5 stars, like everyone else gave them? They have this lovely glass case as part of their front counter with NODESSERT! You read correctly — no dessert. I asked the waitress about dessert — and she said that they did have a cheesecake but that was it. She didn’t seem too enthused about it, so I didn’t feel compelled to try it. I am sorry, but that empty case is crying for apple pie and carrot cake! That is what this place is missing. Plus, having a selection of milkshakes wouldn’t hurt either. This place has a bigger selection of sandwiches and salads than it does breakfast — I would presume that this is a lunch place as well. Perhaps it is only good for breakfast. I will have to give it another try.

I decided to take a mental health morning and actually sit down to the first real breakfast that I’ve had in maybe 10 years. My nightmares of dining hall powdered eggs pushed aside, I decided on the breakfast special. As described by other reviewers, you get 3 eggs(any way you want them), choice of meat, choice of either hashbrowns or pancakes, and toast. This all for 3 dollars. I got an extra side of ham and OJ and my bill still was only 7 dollars and change. After 11 am, the breakfast special is 5 bucks and some change. Still pretty cheap. The place is small but clean and there are two entrances. I’m not really sure where you are supposed to park, so I just parked around the corner. The only bad things about the place are that they are closed on Mondays and that they open up at 7 am. I am usually up at 5:30 am so it doesn’t really work. I can see why this place would be crowded on weekends.

Even after all the other stellar reviews I wasn’t sure how good Tina’s would be. I learned my lesson and will never second guess my fellow Unilocalers again! Tina’s was great. It is a clean and cute little café, the food is good and the staff polite. I can’t say much more than read the other five star reviews and believe them.

This is a great small local diner-type place to eat. We came here after looking at the Unilocal reviews and Tina’s didn’t disappoint. Near the back entrance Tina’s has a painted wall announcing their Breakfast Special for $ 2.99. The special is 3 Eggs, Meat, Hash Browns and Toast. The eggs are cooked to order, your choice of Bacon, Sausage(link and patty) or Ham, and choice of Toast. I can’t believe someplace can charge this little for that much food… but I’m glad I was able to see it in person. $ 2.99!!! That’s it. The six of us ate for about $ 20(with coffee)! and with a good tip we were out of there for under $ 30 And, for those who think by the description of this place that it’s a total dirty dive in Michigan, you’re dead wrong. This is s clean(very clean) restaurant and the bathrooms are as clean as the one in your home(or at least most of yours). For anyone who’s in Allen Park, MI and needs a good cheap meal, you should try Tina’s out. You won’t be disappointed.

While on vacation, friends took us here and I have to say it was an awesome experience. The place was definitely busy and we opted to sit outside. It was a warm humid day and the out door seating area was nicely shaded by the building, making it enjoyable.(I almost always opt out of sitting outside when it comes to eating out… the bugs and glaring sun often prevent me from enjoying myself). Quite frankly, I do not know how Tina’s stays afloat because their breakfasts are crazy inexpensive. What might cost you $ 7 in San Diego costs $ 3 at Tina’s. Portions are large but not overly large. In fact its the perfect amount of food for a breakfast. Nothing fancy really, just plain good old down home cookin’. A family of 4 can easily eat for under $ 20. The food was served hot, the place was clean and comforting. Extra kudos go to Tina’s for their out of the ballpark customer service. We asked for something extra not food related, something one would not normally ask a restaurant staff to do which, I will keep secret because I do not want the general public to think that its a service they offer. With genuine smiles on their faces, they said«no problem», and took care of our special request as they thanked us for dining with them.

They say that all the great breakfast places close by 3pm and Tina’s definitely falls into that category. Every time I come back to Michigan, I wind up having at least one meal here. Tina’s has the laid-back atmosphere and prices of a dive Coney Island, but the service, décor, and quality of a nice café. The fact that it’s 100% non-smoking puts it even further ahead of the competition. If you get there by 11am, there is a great breakfast special: eggs, bacon/sausage, hash browns, toast, and coffee for about 3 bucks. I usually get breakfast, but I tried a panini sandwich there for the first time today and it was excellent.
