This Location has CLOSED Sorry to see them go… Its not TEXASBBQ but it was Good Southern BBQ and probably the best pulled pork in town. Great Sauce Selection, if you go to one of these in Tenn. they are very busy, to bad that did not happen here. Try again in Dallas, that location was the problem. not the food or the service.

Tried to go eat at the Allen location yesterday. They had a sign that said Closed for Business. So sad.

I went to try their Charbroil burger. I am in search of a great char burger! Pickle slices and onion slices available over by drink stand. Usual choices for drinks, good Sweet Tea, and Unsweetened Tea. The Lemons in the bin were chopped too small and hard to squeeze into the tea. Wished they had some napkins by the lemons to dry hands after squeezing them. The food came out pretty fast. The burger had good flavor and texture, but I wish it had more char grilled flavor for me. It was decent enough, and was a great value for the price! The Cole Slaw was good, with a rich creamy dressing on it. I’d go back for the burger.

Absolutely love this place. I’ve tried many right around here, and they are easily my favorite. The brisket, pork, and turkey are all very good. Great sides. Great baked potatoes. Friendly service. I’m especially a fan of their spicy barbeque sauce. It’s actually HOT, something I rarely find to be true of things labeled as «spicy» these days. My wife and I frequently hit the drive through and take home an excellent meal.

Decent food and service with acceptable prices. It’s definitely good in a pinch — as when you realize you forgot to thaw out meat for dinner or just don’t have time to cook because of busy schedules. The management is great. One evening I called in our order. I didn’t check it thoroughly and was missing one meal — we called to let them know and their manager drove it out to our house and provided additional coupons for the next visit. Can’t beat their service.

My husband dragged me back… The soda was flat again but this time the manager tried to fix it… Got home ate and right when I was done had to run to the bathroom with«tummy» issues. then not long after that I was vomiting for about an hr. Then passed out and went to bed from being sick. I had the brisket chopped my husband had the brisket sliced and he was sick also just not as bad as I was. I really want to like this place and I’m sure ill be dragged back to it. I just hope not to get sick again. :(I will say after my last bad review I received a message with an apology from the owner and that was very nice and I hate to make another bad revue but when I get sick from a place it has to be said. Best of luck to this business hope things are better next time.

Usually when we go there to eat the food is fine and they have what we want, but on this most recent occasion they ran out of chicken and the ribs were very tough instead of falling of the bone like they usually are.

I’ve been four times now, usually ordering the special of the day. They have a good menu, consistent good quality, and quick service. I always feel satisfied with my bang for the buck.

This place is a ripoff. Ordered one lb of sausage and two large sides, got home and I couldn’t believe what they gave me. Barely enough sausage to feed one person and the sides were so small it could’ve been single serving. $ 18BUCKS!!! I will never eat there again. For $ 18 I could’ve had a very nice meal and been satisfied.

I hate to give such low scores, but this place just wasn’t up to snuff. The brisket wasn’t even really brisket, but top round cooked like brisket, which doesn’t work. Aside from being sold a false bill of goods, meat just isn’t interchangeable. The reason brisket works in BBQ is because of its composition; you cook other meat that way, it won’t taste the same. And here that’s just as true: this«brisket» is inedible. Tough, leathery, flavorless, unmarbled,. .. it’s terrible. The sauce is cloying and synthetic tasting, all sugar and liquid smoke. However, the sides were fair enough, and the Texas toast and cornbread were tasty, if unconventional. But that alone won’t get me back here.

Their pulled pork sandwich is unstoppable! Seriously. I am a NC/SC BBQ snob from waaay back — just ask Brandon — and let me tell you — if there is a better pulled pig sammich west of 521BBQ in Indianland, SC, I will eat my hat!

I ended up ordering the Two Step Platter with pulled pork, sausage, potato salad, and fried pickles, while my wife tried the beef brisket sandwich. The potato salad was good, but definitely nothing to write home about. The fried pickles, on the other hand, were amazing. The sausage had decent seasoning and a fair amount of smoke, but the sauce selections helped tremendously. The pulled pork was juicy and tender, but again the sauce definitely helped on the flavor. I would probably go back if I was in the area, but I wouldn’t make a special trip.

I had heard good things about this place from a co-worker and with a name like Bar-B-Cutie, I decided to finally give this place a try. I was disappointed in this place — got the pork ribs here and there was not much taste to them at all. What made it worse was that I took my brother, who was visiting from out of town and was craving some Texas barbeque. I should have taken him somewhere else.

I went back yesterday because it was hot and was on my way and not crowded at 11:45 due to construction(or so I thought). The same thing happened– the order taker was more interested in relaying her activities than taking my order. Kept interrupting me as I tried to tell her this was to go. I don’t like rude people. When the order was ready, I was ready to get out of there(I was really tired of her story by then). The chicken was dry, so dry I didn’t eat it all. The corn was good and the mashed potatoes might have been good had it not been for the lumpy gravy that was made from a mix(and a bad mix at that). On a more positive note, the root beer was good and cold.

The place looked better inside than I expected. Quite a bit of seating, comfortable, and clean. Friendly staff, nice menu, reasonable prices. Our ribs would be a 2.5 — the top(rub) side was quite tough indicating this was not a smoked rib or was old. Oddly the bottom side of the rib managed to be juicy with grease. I’d try the ribs one more time as but rather doubt I’ll like them. The pulled pork sandwich was a 3. It was well cooked and moist but there was no flavor in the bark at all. Not a true pulled pork. Interestingly we liked the sides better: fried pickles, BBQ beans and mac-n-cheese. I always avoid mac-n-cheese as my arteries don’t need that kind of abuse but my wife raved about it so I took a taste. It was everthing a good mac-n-cheese should be-flavorful, smooth and creamy. The kids shared a grill cheese and fries and liked it well enough. Bottom line is we might try it again but are in no hurry to go back.

My husband and I went here for lunch on Tuesday. I had a one meat plate(pulled pork) and he had a two meat plate(pulled pork and ham) and the total was $ 25. I think we would have been happier if we had gotten the sandwiches instead which are much cheaper. For the price, the portions didn’t look great. The one meat plate was fine portion-wise but the two meat plate looked to be roughly the same amount of meat in total as the one meat plate, just two different kinds. I even offered him some of my plate since it seemed like I had more than he did, despite him having the more expensive two meat plate. The food is served DQ style where they take your order and money at the counter and give you a number to put on your table so they can deliver it. I think this is why there are so many comments about this being like a fast food place. Beware the sweet BBQ sauce. It is the sweetest sauce I have ever tasted. The mild was a lot better and my husband liked the hot version. The young girls tending to the tables came by frequently enough to be annoying but they were just doing there job, so it’s hard to fault them even though it really was irritating. The smell outside was fantastic. The food was good but I didn’t think it matched what I expected from the smell. If choosing between here and one of the larger BBQ chains, I would have to have more of a price break if I was in the mood for a meal plate. I’ll probably be back for just a BBQ sandwich though. It’s not an «eh» restaurant really(imo), so it deserves more than 2 stars from me but I am not sure that it is a full 3 star either.

Let’s call it a 2.5 star review. I’ve dined at Bar-B-Cutie on several occasions, and, in general, it’s OK if you’re not a BBQ snob, which, I’ll freely admit, I am. While I haven’t had the dry meat issues that some have had, the meat is lacking in smoke across the board, and aside from the Brunswick stew, the sides are generally not outstanding. Again, though, please understand that, as local BBQ places go, this one isn’t really bad, but when you’ve had BBQ in Central Texas, nothing else compares.

Not the best place ever. Overpriced and the food isn’t great. Drove through last week and got mac n’ cheese. It’s very rare that mac n’ cheese taste bad, but this did. It was dry and not cheesy — weeeeeird. I’ll give it another try but I’m not impressed.

Both the service and the food are sub-sub par at this Allen location. How they call this stuff BBQ I have no idea. They really need to look up the definition in a TEXAS dictionary! Oven roasted does not make it BBQ! You can’t count on a lame sauce to not only give this poorly prepared meat flavor AND rehydrate it at the same time. Dry, Dry Dry! Even the bun tasted like the ones that have been in your bread box for weeks, but it’s the only food in the house so you eat one, flavor. Sides are bland, and uninspired. Devoid of flavor, and served luke warm(even the cole slaw). Rolls are flat and hard as a rock. Add the fact it’s WAY overpriced and you have a real Dud.

Tried Bar-B-Cutie for lunch with a friend. We took a coupon for buy one, get plate at ½ price from It was my first time there. I tried the pulled pork plate, my friend the beef plate. The BBQ itself is average, not a lot of smokey flavor. The sandwich plates only include 1 side for $ 6.49 on average. Drinks are $ 1.39 or $ 1.79. Plates are around $ 6.99 — $ 7.99. I felt given the price and quantity that it was just a bit over-priced for average BBQ. The staff was very polite and helpful. I think that C&B Bar-B-Que which is nearby is a better deal and better BBQ.
