So good. The Frontier Fries are beyond amazing. We always leave their waddling… lol. My husband got the truckers special and got two huge racks of ribs and a baked potato as big as my head! Good soundtrack, really great décor. Friendly staff. Very clean. Will most certainly return!

For«fast food», this is pretty darn good. I had the pulled pork platter(although the beef brisket is beloved by the locals) and all of it was tasty.

Best BBQ in Allen. I’ve eaten here a bunch and get great service every time. Great chopped beef. Hottest hot links ever. Great banana pudding.

This place«SUCKS»! Placed a Family Style order for pick up 30 mins before. Asked for buns & received toast instead, luckily I caught this before driving away. Got home & received pinto beans instead of ranch house that I asked for. BBQ was the driest I’d ever had & potato salad tasted like it was store bought! WARNINGSTAYAWAYFROMSOULMANS!!!

Was craving a fully loaded potato so I stopped in bc i was on my way home. I ordered a loaded potato with chopped brisket ONTHESIDE(ps they said this is no problem) and some Mac and cheese and some banana pudding. I will say the banana pudding was AMAZING. Like This was the best banana pudding i have had in a long time! The Mac and cheese was grainy and mushy. I think they serve the same kind at a nursing home. Oh and the slice of toast tasted and smelled like it was drug through some mop water. The potato was meh. The meat was on top which is not what I asked for. Just sayin. Oh and when I asked for the«sweet BBQ sauce» the young, rude girl at the window said no. In my confusion I said oh hmm didn’t y’all used to? Some guy yells from across the counter«no never» at least be nice. Geez. $ 17 waste of time. And the tiny container of BBQ sauce. Gee, thanks! Lol. Pass.

The best Barbecue around Allen! We love their pork, beef and chicken but the sausage is the best! They have very friendly service and once they forgot to give me the bread, I called up there and they were apologetic and gave me a nice discount on my next order.

I got the $ 9 «double» ham stuffed baked potato and what I got was a potato(the size of a Wendy’s baked potato) with about a half cup of little diced ham chunks in it. The picture on the menu made it look like something special when all it was just a crappy potato with a little ham in it. My husbands ham sandwich was just as lackluster. Was my first time here and it will be my last. $ 16 wasted.

Way too expensive for what you get. I ordered the October«Special» which was any sandwich plate for $ 8,99. Came to $ 9.73 after tax, almost 10 bucks for lunch with no drink. I got 4 slices of paper thin dry brisket, cold cream corn, and potato salad that I would be embarrassed to bring to a picnic. I ordered water, which they give you this tiny plastic Dixie cup. I asked for a bigger cup for water and was told he would have to charge me for a drink. I’ll never be back and save my friends a few bucks by letting them know. Bring back Bar-B-Cuties! I give this place another 6 months at best. Monday Lunch time, they had more employees on duty than people eating!

We use to go to this restaurant all the time until last week. The manager Woody was so rude to me because I asked for a refund on an item that was not ready and they had to cook it. I did not have time to wait as I was in the drive thru so I simply asked for a refund and he started throwing things and getting an attitude with me. We used to love this place but because of his rudeness I will not be given them any more of my money.

Not a fan of this place. BBQ was okay. Creamed corn looked old and was not even hot. Baked potato was good. Cole slaw not good. Fried okra okay. Doubt we will be back. Very friendly service.

We went to this restaurant when they first opened and it was very good. However, a friend and I went here today and the food was absolutely terrible. I got a barbecue sandwich. The meat had no flavor and the bun was not even toasted or warm. I got what I think they call the belly buster and it had sausage and chopped beef on it the sausage was very dry and the casing on the sausage was impossible to chew. My friend got the ribs and they were burnt and dry. They looked like they had been made several days before and left lying around. Not sure if I’ll try this place again but probably not.

Gave this place a 2nd chance it hopes of improvement. Not so much. $ 38 got us a bag of greasy mess! The brisket was fatty and soaked in grease… the whole chicken was pink… too expensive and too many other better choices in town. Big Rays BBQ blows this place out of water. There won’t be a 3rd try.

I have to be honest, everyone was very nice here and I give them 5 stars for customer service, but I was very unsatisfied by the food. I paid 12.99 for 4 very small ribs, and very small side of Mac & Cheese and okra(think of a 2oz bowl of a side size). Now that wouldn’t be a big issue for me if the quality was outstanding. Unfortunately the quality was sub par: the Mac and cheese was a little cold, the ribs were small and taste just okay, and the okra was standard. For them to have a sign outside that read«we don’t skimp on meat» it certainly felt like they didn’t skimp on meat; they skimped on an entire meal. They did have pulled pork and chicken specials, but if the price reflects the item size you might not be getting much.

Very good ribs and ham. Potatoe salad had a bit too much dill for my taste, but that is just me. Banana pudding was great!!! Baked potatoe was a bit dry, like it was cooked way to long.

Worst BBQ place in the area, encompassing Allen, Plano, McKinney and Frisco. The meat is dry, the food rather bland, the bbq sauce is uninspiring, and worst of all it far more expensive then other places. The quality of the food would rate a 2 by itself. It’s bland, dry and almost tasteless. You have to drown the brisket in the run of the mill bbq sauce to have any taste. The sides: the potato salad was incredibly sandy in texture and also very bland. How do you mess up potato salad? The Cole slaw — I have no idea. A curly hair was embedded. I returned it to the front and exchanged for the green beans. They kept serving the curly hair Cole slaw. The replacement green beans were mushy and salty. I will not be back here. It was below average in quality and far above average in price/quantity. We will go right down the road to Dickeys next time, or really any other BBQ place in the area. It makes me really miss Barbie-Q-T who was in the this building until closing last fall.

We weren’t very impressed… Meat was a little dry and it was a little pricey. It unfortunately didn’t leave me wanting to come back for more. Very nice staff though and clean environment!

It’s a ‘re’-grand opening at the Soulman’s in Allen! Clear blue Spring skies welcome patrons to delicious BBQ. My family enjoyed the 50% off plate special today.(See the pictures) Tasty vinegar based BBQ sauce and yummy buttermilk pie and banana pudding, too. There’s a bounce house in the parking lot for the kiddies! Come on by today!

We have eaten there three times over the past few weeks. The first time was good but the last two times were disappointing. Let me first say they have a really good brisket and their sauce is awesome if you like a sweet bbq. My biggest complaint though is on price vs quantity compared to other bbq places in the area. I ordered a three meat plate and got about 5 slices of brisket, two small pork ribs and and about 3 inches of sausage with two VERY small sides and it cost me $ 16…not including the drinks. My wife and I both got the three meat plate two large drinks and a banana pudding and it was $ 42. I’m pretty sure that was the complaint about the previous bbq place that was there. The ribs and pulled pork was extremely dry and I had to drown it in sauce to make it edible… but the sauce is good. If they were to either decrease the price by about 10% or increase the amount of food you get slightly I might frequent there, but I think we will go to Rudy’s instead even though my wife hates sitting on bench and eating out of a crate.

6:30 on A Sunday and very disappointed by the wait. Only 5 tables occupied and a line out the door. I counted 6 people walk out due to the long wait. I was a regular in Carrollton over 20 years ago. The food is great but the service needs to be addressed.

Just opened! I ordered the«Out-of-Sight» special. Lg. chopped beef sandwich with 2 regular sides. Basically it is the«Sandwich plate» but you don’t get a choice of the meat, and it is $ 0.50 cheaper. I chose the coleslaw and potato salad. Everything is very good. Enjoyed the smoke in the brisket, and the sides were pretty darn good. I wish they had cheeseburgers One of the better BBQ places in the area.
