Pretty good. Cheddar Fries were really good. Chicken Fried Steak was very good. Service was good and quick.

Oh Cheddar’s. How I so much wanted to give you another shot, praying that you could win me over. I was so beyond wrong. First, I would like to note I showed up around 6 with my boyfriend tonight. There was a busy dinner crowd, lots of people waiting, yet us two were seated immediately. Although after being seated the wait line grew and our section had at LEAST6 empty booths. Our server was a ‘server in training’ and I think she was high on some kind of drug or drunk. She took our drink orders, I ordered a beer, my boyfriend a Sprite. She brought out his Sprite and my water after about 10 min, then another 10 I get my beer. We go ahead and order after my beer because we can tell the service is awful, we repeat the order asking basic questions, she doesn’t know the answers(server in training) so we were forgiving, but her trainer was not helping her at all. I honestly think there should be an option or discount to customers with ‘server trainers’ because it’s piss poor service when I’m trying to have a nice dinner with my boyfriend. Needless to say our food took over an hour to come out and was completely cold… My philly cheese stake was good but the cheese had already hardened it had been sitting so long… My boyfriend’s burger was also cold… She didn’t check on us once about the food or refills. We had to practically beg for our check and to go box. As a server I always tip 15% but tonight I begged my boyfriend not to it was so bad. He did, guess he’s more forgiving than I am… Will definitely NOT be back.

I’ve always went here but now its just going down hill. I purchased a to go order we waited without being helped for 10 minutes each associate just walking right past us. My sister order the kids menu chicken tender platter. The associate helping with the order didn’t bother to open each container to make sure it was correct and rushed us on our way. Once we got open we see its grilled chicken and vegetables and fries. I called the manager letting him know their was a mistake and what exactly happened. He IMMEDIATLEY starts yelling at me telling me «you ordered that my workers get everything right!!». Very low class and unprofessional since he’s the manager. Once I come to pick the correct order up in front of the workers he tries to play nice. I will never be going to this cheddars location again.

We’ve eaten at Cheddars many times but I think I’ve just gone for the final time. My husband and I took our toddler and my dad to eat on 02÷26÷16. We arrived about 6:30 and seated about 10 – 15 minutes later. We ordered drinks and onion rings as an appetizer. The appetizer took forever to come out and the waiter just said it was because they had to hand batter them. If you ask me, he got seated another large group and catered to them instead. Our appetizer arrived about 2 minutes before our food did. But here’s where it got interesting. I ordered the grilled chicken Alfredo and when ordering I asked to not have the pasta(I can’t eat pasta). My husband suggested I just get the pasta on the side instead because our toddler could eat some. So I asked for that. What I received was a bowl of pasta Alfredo, a side of chicken, and a side of the steamed veggies that they poured out of a bag right at the table. I told my waiter that I wanted the pasta on the side not everything else. Now I had no Alfredo for the chicken and veggies. He said he would bring me the Alfredo and I asked him for a bowl so I could make the meal myself how I had asked for it. It took 10 minutes to get this. By then the chicken was cold and the Alfredo he brought me was cold. I asked to speak to the manager and she offered to have them remake the dish. By now, everyone else has eaten and my toddler was done; so I asked for it to go. I litterelly got a chicken breast with Alfredo poured over it. No veggies, nothing mixed together. It was comical to say the least. My dad had to ask for more water because he never would fill the glasses. Instead of filling them he brought more. Our table was covered in cups and dishes by this point. The manager took my meal off but I noticed on the bill that they tried to charge me for a side of Alfredo sauce! The one I asked for to try and make the dish I asked for! Trying to get the bill paid took way too long as well. The waiter just kept going to his only other table! The problems were not just with us and our table either. We were seated next to the point of sale machine. When we were leaving, two waiters were arguing and a different manager was with them. The manager and guy waiter walked away and the girl told the guy waiter that she needed him there. I watched the two guys walk just barely into the kitchen on the opposite side and the guy waiter was pointing at her and was mad. I saw him mouth some words about the lady waiter that were highly inappropriate. So all in all, not the nice meal out that I was hoping for. We tried getting there before the huge weekend crowd. Our waiter only had 2 tables and a total of about 10 people. I heard the other table complaining as well. The manager tried to write it off as he was new and his timing was off. He just didn’t know how to fix something. What should have happened was that he took it all away and brought it back out correctly. But he never offered that. And taking so long to just get it corrected was ridiculous. Overall we won’t be back. At least not to that location.

Stopped by the restaurant about 30 minutes before closing. The wait staff was busy but very helpful. VERYHELPFUL. We ordered an appetizer and two meals, one being the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes. Upon delivery, the waitress informed us of a mistake in the kitchen, where the gravy was discard by accident. So the dish was delivered without gravy. I know, chicken fried steak without gravy. The manager instantly arrived and said he would remove the appetizer from the bill, and I agreed to this, but later realized that I could not eat this with no gravy, and the cost for the dish should have been removed, not the appetizer. I was trying to be sympathic to their closing situation, but this should ot have happened. Although I have had a number of great experiences with them, this was not one. I will return as this was an isolated incident.

Well this sucked. Two stars because of the fish tank that kept my kid occupied. Food was just not good, something was off about all of it from the margarita, to the burger, to salsa, to even a grilled cheese it just wasn’t good. Also our waiter gave us our food then no joke 90 seconds later asked if we «saved room for dessert», give me a full two minutes before you ask me that, c’mon. I won’t come back, I had been warned, I didn’t listen, now I’m out $ 40.

First of all, I have to say that Melanie was the best server we’ve ever had at Cheddar’s. She was very friendly and helpful. The food was pretty good. I got the lemon pepper grilled catfish. It was a little on the salty side, but still pretty good. I LOVE the croissant that comes with the salad. They have the best croissants! I’ve never had better. Will definitely return.

Cheddar’s serves their salad with a yummy croissant. Just love their lunch. Portion and price is just great. We’re regular customers as we eat out quite often. There is a lot choices from light soup and salad to heavier meals.

Definitely ask for CASSIE she’s the best server i’ve ever gotten at any restaurant. She’s always smiling and loves taking your order. The service is great and the staff, even the bussers were kind when i asked them for the restroom. The croissants are amazing and the maple burger, will be back and asking for cassie

This Cheddar’s is not the same Casual Café setup you find on LBJ. This is actually Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen. Yep, the name speaks for itself. Scratch-made recipes. This is now officially my favorite restaurant for freshly-prepared foods that are easy on the pocket. For appetizers, we devoured the Chicken Tender Basket and the Ultimate Nachos. The chicken tenders were crispy and hot and served with fries. The nachos, you have your choice of either chicken or beef or both. We did both and loved it. We also ordered the Homemade Baked Potato Soup and House Salad. Soup was good and rich. Lots of flavor, not too salty at all. Salad, was a salad. But boy-oh-boy. Do not miss the fine print. Salads are served with a warm, honey-butter croissant upon request. Croissasnts were so melt-in-your-mouth delish that we ordered 6 more. My daughter had the Monte Cristo, so sinful. Melted cheese, ham, turkey — battered and fried — the works. A HUGE portion. My fiancé ordered the Homemade Chicken Pot Pie — another awesome choice. I had the frigging-best salmon dish ever — Grilled Salmon over rice. It was perfectly cooked. I didn’t expect this from Cheddar’s(Well, based on my experience at the LBJ location). The menu indicates that the salmon is served«over rice.» This is an understatement. The rice should’ve been described as served over«homemade, butter rice» or something to that effect. It was so moist and rich, it could’ve passed for risotto. :) I ate all my rice and couldn’t finish the salmon. We had so much food left over. Oh, something you will enjoy even more, their drinks. Yummy margaritas for less than 5 bucks?!? That’s crazy! ALL their drinks are moderately priced. Ask for Robert, he is an awesome bartender. Fresh home-cooked food + low-priced excellent drinks = parking lot full of patrons

Great food for the American palate. There are places that I would pick before here but this is close and satisfying. Nothing really sticks out besides our waitress really went out of her way to get us everything we wanted. She even went and got my youngest another garlic bread. He really liked that and wanted that instead of his mac n cheese. My eldest lied the mac n cheese but didn’t love the bread like his brother. Eh shows the difference in sibs. Would go again for sure but only after I couldn’t go elsewhere.

Yuck!!! I had the dijon chicken & mushrooms with mac n cheese & a baked potato. The only thing i ended up eating was the mac n cheese… And that was only HALF decent. There was almost next to nothing with the flavor. Extremely bland. The chicken tasted like cardboard and the the baked potato tasted all soapy… What? All of it was sorta dry and flavorless. But the dijon sauce was WAY too tangy. I mean i could only take about a few bites in before i could just give up. On the other hand… My hubby got the Philly cheesesteak and he loved it. :) it was a little big for him but he was satisfied. He also got two sides of mac n cheese. :) our server, however, was really nice! The service was good. :) this place is good but it’s definitely one of those places where some of the stuff is great… And others aren’t so great. But i’ll come back, i’ll just order something different.

Not good, not bad, just bland. Service isn’t bad, but it’s not great, just mediocre. The inside has bit dark and dungeony feel to it in my opinion. I’ve never left this place with a bad experience but I’ve never left thrilled to come back either.

Worst service ever. Ever since they rebranded the portions sized went down while the prices went up. Came in to watch the TCU game, but couldn’t because not one of the three employees, including the manager cared to listen. My soup came out ice cold. Had to send it back. Same with salmon and rice. Manager came over, took it away, and I’m still waiting. Pissed since the check came before the meal. This will be my last time here. It’s a bar and they’d rather put on Fred Savage’s new show than a freaking football game.

HORRID service at this location. Server forgot our appetizer, forgot to refill our drinks, AND served a HALF portion of my double decker club AND forgot my salad(but certainly didn’t forget to charge me full price for everything AND extra for the salad I didn’t receive). Not to mention I actually had to get my own silverware, and napkins. This location, service, food, and management(for allowing such poor service) clearly stink. Give it a few months. I’m sure at this rate the business will be closed with service like this.

If you get Ashley, ask for another server!!! She was a horrible waitress. My family and I dined here for a late dinner Saturday evening. We had a party of seven, but upon our arrival three of our party was running late. It was busy which we expected for a Saturday, our wait was estimated at 25 minutes(we were seated within 15 minutes). We made Ashley aware that we would be expecting more people to join our party. But we would start off with drinks and appetizers and drinks. Our appetizer and drinks came quickly, however she seemed to be getting annoyed that we hadn’t ordered yet due to our other guest not arriving yet. We ordered the chicken strip basket and cheddar cheese fries to start us off. By the time the rest of our party arrived we were ready to order, my niece ate the strips and fries with honey mustard and ranch dipping sauce. She became very ill after eating so, I asked her what type of oil the chicken strips were fried with, she returned to tell me it was soy oil. We were all concerned about her condition, but she didn’t seem to be concerned at all. We asked for carry out containers with our checks, so we could take her to the emergency room. She didn’t clear our table of our empty glasses or plates until we asked her to do so. MYPOORRATINGISFORTHECUSTOMERSERVICE. However the food was very delicious and well prepared with a lovely presentation.

We always look forward to a nice lunch here. The onion rings are our favorite, however Sunday, they really let us down. Part of our order not delivered, no follow up on dry burgers, fish wasn’t bad onion rings were still good. After we had ate, waiter came by to see if we needed refill on empty glasses. We had requested a booth, ended up at a table which added 20 minutes wait time. Maybe things will improve.

Ask for Garrett! He was a fantastic server. After a hard day for my husband and I went to Cheddar’s for a much needed dinner break. We were a bit skeptical of how many people were there, but we were seated within 15 minutes(we were told 30) and Garrett was very attentive and made us feel at ease. He was busy, but he didn’t rush us at all and wasn’t annoyed by my indecisive choices back and forth between the salmon and steak. He simply laughed and recommended the salmon. He was very knowledgable of the menu. He made us laugh a lot, and he was just a very nice guy. We got the Spinach dip, my husband had the tortilla soup, and I had the salmon. Delicious food and decently priced. A++!

This place was great! The service was fast and the food was delicious! I had a cheddar club and a cheese fries. The sandwich was great but the loaded potato was nasty. The cheese fries were great. FOOD: 4⁄5 SERVICE: 4⁄5 AMBIANCE: 4⁄5

Not that many customers when we entered and were seated. The service was slow today for some reason. I ordered the fried catfish, broccoli and coleslaw. The fish was coated in meal and while good was not outstanding. I have much better fried catfish. My spouse ordered the garden salad which was very good, the broccoli, carrots, baked potato for the vegetable plate.

Cheddars is a good cheap casual dining resturant. Good happy hour drinks. But the food is why I come. What to get chicken finger basket 6.993 chicken strips and fries you can get it buffalo style I ask for the sauce on the side I don’t like soggy chicken strips. Chicken pot pie is a tasty option. On the salad side the chicken pasta salad is a great option comes with grilled or fried chicken. Burgers are good but chicken fried steak is better.

I really, really like Cheddar’s. This restaurant had the same extraordinary portions as other locations I’ve visited: share the chicken fingers basket or anything easily, the purely-addictive queso, comforting broccoli-cheese casserole, tasty croissants, and a Pain Killer or Maui swirled Margarita with a Cactus Juice shot to boot. The restaurant was full, but the service was terrific and I was in within 20 minutes. Since I discovered this location, I’ve been twice and would even drive a little out of my way to visit – this is like visiting a true southern grandmother’s(if she can cook well) home.

If Chili’s had a fish tank and even crappier food than they currently do, then you’d have Cheddar’s. I’ve lived nearby for 2 years now and had not yet visited. I’d been to a Cheddar’s in other parts of Texas in the past and always remembered that the place was unimpressive at best. One day I was just hankering for some cheese fries and figured I’d try something new. I’ve been baffled at how full the parking lot always seems to be for such an unimpressive place. At 4pm on a SUNDAY, the parking lot was completely full. I’d ordered my food to go but the waiting area was just wall to wall people. I’m still confused about that one… you just don’t see that many people trying to eat at that time of day. I made my way to the bar, which was also full. every seat taken with a considerable amount of old people and children. It was very loud and the exact kind of environment you DON’T want to dine in. As I mentioned earlier, the one saving grace is the big fish tank. It’s a cichlid freshwater tank and quite large… fun to watch. Not like you really get the chance to enjoy it in that atmosphere though. The cheese fries were terrible. Worse than fast food fries. I ate about three of them, regretted it, and dumped the rest. I’d also ordered some of their croissants due to the reviews raving about them. All they are is a relatively fresh croissant with honey butter melted on top. THATISIT. The croissants themselves weren’t very flakey and not that good. You can get better croissants at Starbucks. Better honey butter at Whataburger. When you can get better food at a fast food restaurant, that’s how you know you’re doing something wrong. Now don’t get me wrong, these were edible… and clearly the best thing on the menu. But if the best thing you’ve got on the menu can be outdone by a Starbucks drive thru visit? You’ve got some serious problems. The service was also very sad. It took some effort to get one of the teenagers behind the bar to assist. The order was wrong, but I’m glad that they at least went through it with me so that we figured that out. Thankfully it didn’t take too long to fix the issue because I was itching to get out of that overcrowded mess. Do you want to deal with a crowded restaurant and spend time waiting to eat bad food? Then come to Cheddar’s! I’m pretty sure they microwave everything on the menu. Save your calories and go anywhere else. Even Applebees puts this place to shame and that place is terrible.

Cheddar’s is the definition of family dining. It’s not sparkly and new, it’s not fancy and it’s reasonably priced. It’s the kind of place you wouldn’t have to feel horrified bringing an embarrassing relative or messy child out to dine with you. The food is actually pretty tasty for such a mediocre setting. And on a Friday night at around 8:30pm, there was no wait for a party of 2. My fiancé ordered the salmon, which was actually really quite tasty and reasonably priced at under $ 10. I ordered the chicken caeser salad. The dressing was good but they add penne to it for some unknown reason, which really made it the opposite of the health-conscious dish I was looking for. In a nutshell, it’s a great place to go when you’re not looking or feeling your best but don’t want to wind up eating at Chipotle for the 4th time this week.
