Still, after many year ma and many cities, still my favorite burger by far. So glad my soon-to-be home of McKinney, Texas has one close by and one coming soon.

This is the second time to this location. First time burgers were burnt, manager fixed it. Second time the fries were overdone cooked in oil that needed to be changed. Manager gave us new fries that’s tasted like the old. I’ll give it to him he tried to fix it but come on the food prep is lacking. I politely say no to waiting for a third batch as this was suppose to be in and out. Service is good but quality of the food counts.

This place is awesome, it is not a place for a «gourmet» burger but as a guy who prides himself on trying MANY burgers places across the US I can stay this place makes the list as one of the best. Keep in mind this is «fast food» and for you to be able to get fresh ingredients, consistent flavors, and quick service from a burger place pushes this place to the top of my list. Google their secret menu for cool things you can order.

The best kind of burger is one that’s good on the inside and the outside. The ingredients are fresh(or at least they feel like it) and the burger looks good(as burgers often do, especially when hungry). I’ve never tried this place in California, so I can’t really compare anything, but I have heard it tastes very good there. All I can say is that I haven’t had any problems at this one. The burgers and everything in it really do feel fresher than other places. I always go with the double-double, which they offer for a cheap price but is still filling regardless. Sometimes people complain about how their fries don’t taste good. I kind of understand what they’re saying, as they aren’t especially crispy or anything, but I actually found that I like them. I’ve been told that’s what very fresh fries taste like, and I do feel just a slight bit healthier(if fries can even be any healthier). Workers are pretty chill. Atmosphere is a typical fast food, casual environment, but without the greasy, gross feeling. Food usually comes out fast so you can be «In-N-Out» in a bit!

There was so much hype built up for my first in n out experience that I was expecting to be disappointed. Got animal style with bacon. It was average. I used to take whataburger for granted but not anymore. Culvers is also better. Now I just gotta try shake shack.

Someone I know loves this place to death. Me, I think it’s meh at best. Everything is fresh and that’s great. The fries are fresh but not great. The burgers are decent but nothing to write home about. I really don’t see what the big deal is but maybe I’m not that big on burgers. If you’re looking for something outside of burgers, keep driving. Maybe it’s the location too because I’ve had better from this in-n-out but even the best time wasn’t that great. The place is clean and their employees seem happy!!! Better than your regular fast food spots though(excluding what a burger of course).

My wife and I both love in and out. If I’m hungry and in the mood for a burger this is where we go. Everything tastes so fresh. It almost feels like chick fil a but for burgers. The fries are amazing they cut the potatoes fresh just before they put them into the fryer.

Love this location. My burger is perfectly prepared always. My double-meat(no cheese), animal style without pickles is hot fresh and delicious. I skip the fries, just in case I want a 2nd burger. But 95% of the time, the one burger with a drink is perfect for me. I tried the Frisco location which tastes like crap. This one makes it like they do in Southern California. Perfect for the homesick. I live closeby and that perfume of grilled meat and onions that permeates the area … So satisfying.

Reasons to like In ‘N’ out 1) half what five guys cost 2) shakes are thick 3) Animal style(cheese, sauce concoction, and diced grilled onions) We went after 9PM so the line wasn’t long. They have tons of employees working it seems so I guess that helps get everything out faster. I like how they ask you if you’re eating in the car because they prepare it in a way it’s easier to eat while driving if desired. The first time I went was when I lived in Fort Worth 3 years ago and I looked at the menu and I was like that’s it? My boyfriend said the same thing when we drove up. The menu appears very limited. So when I first tried this restaurant I wasn’t a huge hamburger girl so I didn’t understand the hoopla. A couple months later I met a California girl in Fort Worth and she introduced me to animal style everything. As a huge cheese lover I loved it! It reminds me a tad of canes sauce too, although, it might just be the color and that they both taste good. ;) If you’re getting animal style be prepared to be extra full.

Definitely an improvement over the last trip. Onion was thin and actually good on the burger, wasn’t as messy, and put together well. Flavorful and good for a craving. Also tried their chocolate milkshake this trip, very, very light chocolate flavoring, it’s almost unnoticeable, and a little too sweet/creamy for my taste. Best put like this: And we have a WINNER, still, the undisputed fast-food burger champion of the world: WHATABURGER! :D

Was in Texas for the first time in a couple years. Drove 45 minutes just to get In-N-Out. The last one I had before that was 3 hours old from my girlfriend’s drive back from TX to OK. 10/10, would eat soggy again.

For $ 2.75, this is a damn good cheeseburger; HOWEVER, what’s really going on with the French fry situation? They look good, smell great, but taste like fried air. I thought I received a bad batch and went back again – same crispy, fresh weirdness. I’ve never had a French fry that did not taste like potato… EVER…until In&Out. I’m flabbergasted by the trickery. But the cheeseburger is a beautiful thing to behold and taste.

Been to many In and Outs in the area. What is with the wait and the messy, grotesque packaging? Who wants to use napkins that have been either sitting on top of fries or squished between a lid and greasy hamburgers. Each time at drive thru we wait and watch a handful of people at the counter inside order and get their food. Maybe we should go in to order for it to go. But then they still give you that greasy cheese covered box to take home! Where am I going to put that greased covered box? Tray cover please, thank you!

Ok, I don’t get it. People love this place and go crazy for it. For me it’s just a fast food burger. Drive thru staff was very nice. Maybe people in Houston love it so much because we don’t have them here.

It was a humid Texas night. We were looking for some grub before heading to a movie. In-N-Out was the perfect solution because it was right next to the movie theater and was one of the quicker options so that we could make it to the movie on time. First of all, I saw a professional gamer eating not far from me at this location, but I waited too long before interacting with him and he left quietly without me knowing. The menu may seem small to newcomers, but you’ve gotta remember that there is a secret(or not-so-secret) menu as well. One of the more popular not-so-secret menu items is the«animal» versions of the burgers and fries. The beef in the animal burger version is grilled in mustard. Pickles, grilled onions and more sauce is added as well. Which brings me to the sauce: it’s a Thousand Island variant. Another not-so-secret menu item is the extra patties that you can add to the two that are already available on the menu. Usually, you’re limited to the 3×3 or 4×4 because of an incident in 2004 when a legendary customer ordered the 100×100. However, if you look up In-N-Out on Wikipedia, there is still a picture of the 20×20; twenty monster pieces of beef stacked to the max separated only by cheese. A true meal for the starving. The cashier was nice enough to give us three drinks on the house because of a mix up. Thanks Russell, you the man. The animal fries are a zany/goofy twist to the In-N-Out fries. Basically they’re regular fries with cheese and the Thousand Island sauce on top. The thing I like about the way they wrap the burger is that it doesn’t slide around or fall apart and yet its so easily accessible. The food is hyped because its pretty cheap coming in at $ 5.65 for a cheeseburger combo(cheeseburger, fries and drink) and yet it is still so tasty. We ended up not going to the movie.

Only had to wait in line for about 5 minutes, and they had three cashiers working. Not bad I thought considering how busy they were. Then I waited 20 minutes for one burger. Not good! There needs to be some alignment between the line and the wait since there is no space to wait and people were pretty much tripping over each other trying to find a spot to wait for food while others moved around. Add to all this that the parking lot is a freaking disaster, and you get a two-star review(one of the stars because the burger tasted good).

I have no problem with the food or service here and have eaten here many times. I attempted to make a photo of two family members placing their order at the cash register, at another location, and was told I could not do that. I wrote to Customer Service and they confirmed that photos were not permitted where proprietary equipment«might be shown». I rechecked all my photos, including any taken at this In & Out Burger and did not find any of mine having been posted. I am rechecking other locations where I may have taken a photo to make certain they were never posted and are not on this site. During my last visit two families with children were taking a ton of photos, However I don’t see any posted on this site. Leave you camera in your vehicle if visiting an In & Out Burger

Love me some In-N-Out Burger! The burgers are super tasty and I’m pretty sure the French fries are laced with crack because they are addictive. The people working here are always super nice and pleasant. With /without onions or cheese are your big option here, but I’m sure they will make it anyway you like it.

In-N-Out Burger might just be the most hyped fast food chain in the US. That just might be the reason In-N-Out Burger has never won my heart the way I thought it would. The visit to this Dallas, TX-area location was my 2nd time ever stepping foot inside of an In-N-Out, the former visit having just been 2 weeks prior when I was out in LA, where my inaugural visit had been surprisingly underwhelming. This was a much needed break on my long drive back from St. Louis to Houston right after the Thanksgiving holiday, and THIS was the time I was going to change my perception of In-N-Out forever. Why? …because this time I knew about the«secret menu» and ordered«Animal-Style»(yep, I’m that much of a newb at this). Although the Animal-Style Double-Double was a step up from my first Double-Double, it still didn’t make me shout«This is the best fast food burger EVER!» as I’d always hoped it would. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good fast food burger, but to say that it’s miles ahead of Five Guys or even a good Whataburger… there just must be something I don’t get about it. My recommendation… don’t go into In-N-Out Burger with sky-high expectations. Yes, it is a good burger, and chances are if you weren’t expecting the world you might also say it’s the best fast food burger out there. Yes, the mustard-cooked patties, grilled onions, and Thousand Island-based spread make for a tasty meal, but it’s still not the burger I thought I’d be writing home about. At the very least, you get a nice taste of California, right here in Texas.

This is the gold standard in «semi fast» food as all the positive reviews demonstrate. Their amazingly small menu and best ingredients assure that they do, what they do, really well. Double-Double and fries is something to dream about and an assurance that any east coast dweller will drive miles when an In-N-Out is with-in range. Counter help friendly and helpful. They were not busy when we arrived and our order took a little more than five minutes to arrive. A minor complaint — seems unamerican to complain about In-N-Out; but customers do a good job of clearing their tables of trays and paper; what we all leave behind are crumbs on the table top and seats. A quick wipe down with a napkin had it handled, but it seems that should be someone’s responsibility. By the way, in a lessor place(think McD, KFC, etc) I would expect to wipe down my own table. In-N-Out sets the standard, and I love you for it.
