What can I say. I crave ice cream when the temperature drops and today a blizzard sounded good. And it was. Can’t miss with the dependable quality at this great price point. Ahhhhh

Great cake, loved the blizzards too. Unfortunately, although the food was pretty good the wait was absolutely horrific, they didn’t even apologize. Customer service way to lackluster. Who waits over 15 minutes at DQ! I’ve been here several times and it’s always the same issue. I would recommend they start fresh with the hot dog chili weekly, someone was very sick in my family from it.

Close to the house. so easy. but not impressive.
The Restaurant was clean, however the staff was absent during a rush at noon. (including mgmt), Some of the staffs attire was nasty. The team was not focused. (food sitting under warmers.). and quite frankly, the food was horrible.
I came in at noon to order two chk strip baskets and 2 cokes to bring to my son (so that I could eat lunch with him at his school). The wait was horrible there was 1 person upfront and that one person was running the drive thru and the walkin cashier post at the same time. After waiting about 5 minutes for the drive thru side to be done. she came over and took my order (I went inside. to order to-​go. thought it would be quicker).
About 10 minutes later, 2 kids and the manager walk out of the back… Now all of a sudden there is staff ! (although I hate to see the delivery order time frames until that point). One of the kids that walked up to the front started cleaning the floor then finally, grabbed my food which was sitting in the window under a lamp for a good 12 minutes. The kid had nappy long hair, and underwear showing through his black pants (kinda like when the kids «low ride» their pants. To see someone with those hygiene standards handling my food almost made me throw-​up. He needed a hat that covered his hair. and obviously he needed to pull his pants up. and good lord. how about washing your hands after playing cleanup on the floor !!! He didn’t actually touch any of the food. just the box that contained the food… or I would have went nuts.
I left, got to my sons school and started eating the chk strip basket, fries and the coke.
The coke was the best part. The chk strips were pretty nasty as well. I live probably 2 ½ miles from this store. I dont plan on ever coming back. If I knew the city inspectors number, I’d call them and have them do an inspection. The practices I saw will get someone sick or maybe even killed.
It is fair to note. that the last inspection produced an 89 score. So maybe what I saw was an isolated case. but it is what i witnessed.

And the TangoTab got me here! Great place — like a flagship or something…

Nice, clean, new looking restaurant. Served up a delicious chicken finger basket. It looses a star because nobody acted like they wanted to be there.

The first time I went through the drive thru, I ordered a special hamburger that was really really good and it negated the slow service. I thought it was because they were still fairly new and finding the right work patterns.
Not so. I went back the following week, waited a long time to place my order in the drive-​thru and then waited even longer behind another vehicle. A long time. Eventually I made it to the window to wait some more. After sending off a few emails. and strumming the steering wheel, I got the burger but not the drink. Had to remind them of the drink.
I was already a little miffed by then especially since the special burger I ordered the prior week wasn’t on the menu and I couldn’t remember what it was — but it was not on the menu.
From ordering to driving away was almost 25 minutes. That’s way too long for a drive-​thru. Sure hope the pace picks up cause the food is good.

Great soft serve and awesome service. Best place in Allen to get your ice cream fix.

We hit the drive thru on a Sunday afternoon in search of treats. The final tally was four Blizzards (including the wonderful «mini» for me, great if you’re watching your diet) and a caramel sundae. All were perfectly made and tasted great. We didn’t have any of the savory food, but since the location is fairly new and looked to be well kept and staffed with smiling faces, I suspect it would be up to the usual DQ standards. For any of the locals who might be reading, this is in the old Del Rancho location right beside O’Reilly Auto Parts. Give ‘em a try, especially if you’re needing your ice cream fix!
