Was here last week with some friends to «celebrate» my return to the Dallas area. Even though that was a month ago. Schedules are tough sometimes. Anyways…Seems some of you Unilocalers don’t like R&K? Really? Strange. I’ve been here 3 times now and each time has been very good. This past time, ordered the Blackened Chicken Primavera. I’ll admit… it was a bit light on the chicken… just 4 strips, which were blackened and grilled to perfection. The linguine and veggies it was served with were also excellent, as was the beer(Blue Moon knockoff). Service was top notch, if not a bit overkill. Parking was easy, but could get tight if they get busy. I may be back here later this week as we have my «See ya later» celebration… with my job sending me out of town for 4 months.

We went there for an after graduation lunch with a group of 20! We were in a private room in the back, so we wouldn’t bother anyone by being too loud and trust me we can be loud! We all ordered a different appetizer and passed them around! My favorite was the fried pickles and the fried gator. Yes, I actually tried alligator! It was really good, not too chewy and not too soft! For my entrée I decided to have the Crawfish Festival. I enjoyed it, but thought it was a little bland! The whole meal just needed a little spice! The best part of the meal was the bread. The rolls were topped with parmesan and romano cheese. The service was really good especially considering there were 20 of us!
