The drinks, food, atmosphere, and service were all excellent. I would love to give them five stars, because there was nothing I didn’t like as far as the food and service. BUT, there were several gnats and a fly bothering us while we ate. A couple of the gnats went into the food. So, for that reason only, I gave them three stars.

First time visiting. The food just ok, not bad but not good either. The manager Joe, he is not as good as others, when we were having a problem with finding a baby crab in our oyster(we didn’t know what it was), he didn’t answer us in a good manner. But I love our waitress Monika, she is awesome, very polite and generous, excellent serving!

Food was good atmosphere relaxing. Service was no good. Had to ask several times for drinks and only came to our table once after our meal to ask if we needed anything. And I hadn’t even tasted the food.

I have eaten at several Bonefish locations across the US and was glad to see they brought one to the Allen area. They have several fresh seafood dishes, a really nice bar setting with a nice wine list. The modern décor inside is very nice with and the prices for fresh seafood are very reasonable. If your not a seafood lover they do have other dishes to round out the menu. The bang bang shrimp is a must for an appetizer or you can do them as a tacos for lunch or dinner. The Baja fish tacos, shrimp pad thai, salads were all presented very nicely and all had great flavor. Overall nice dinner or lunch spot with a great ambiance, full bar, and good food!

Very fresh fish at reasonable prices and great service. I tried the lamb lollipops, which were tender, perfectly cooked and with just the light touch of seasoning to underscore the gamey taste of the lamb. The grouper and shrimp entrée with sautéed spinach and potatoes au gratin were equally good. The grouper was just cooked right, again with just the right amount of seasoning and a touch of a lemony sauce. The potatoes, cheesy and tender, were delicous. The spinach was done well, but with a little too much garlic and a little under salted taste. Overall though it was a great meal.

Came with my fam and in laws. Really great! Mac and cheese, which I didnt expect at all, for the kids, even a side of broccoli for my niece! Every kids was happy and full. My youngest ate everything. He doesn’t do this! So a nice change not taking something. For adults, great choices, too! My in laws got their oysters, while I got my wedge salad and my hubby got lamb lollipops. All cooked perfectly! Plus brought out all at the perfect time! As far as entrées, the fresh catch of Norwegian salmon, perfect with lemon butter sauce! Green beans and their to die for garlic mashed potatoes! My brother in law got the ahi tuna and pan Asian sauce. He said it was perfect and stuffed in every last bite! Dessert would have been just as good, I’m sure, but I had no room! tragic! This was our first time and with family. But we WILL be back! Perfect date night with just your loved one or your picky mother in law Go here for everyone to be happy with a fish or burger or salad or whatever! Like now go or you’ll be unhappy you missed out on such delectable food tonight!

We returned after 6 months or more, and they finally got their act together! Excellent food: Wild North Atlantic Haddock, and hubby had perfect Sirloin & Crab Cake entrée. The service was impeccable! Sebastian is in charge of Guest Services, a new position we think. He made sure our dinner was great, even lowering the shade so sun wouldn’t shine in my eyes. We will return soon!

This restaurant is conveniently located in the Allen outlet mall area, just off highway 75. We came here on a Tuesday because I heard from my friend that every Tuesday they offer a three-course meal at a discounted price starting from $ 14.90. Not a bad deal. So my wife and I decided to give it a try. First of all, the complementary bread was fresh. We all liked the pesto dipping oil, which had a nice fresh herb flavor. We liked it so much that we asked for another loaf of bread. For entrees, I ordered a steak with green beans and garlic mashed potatoes as sides. My wife ordered a lobster tail with sautéed spinach and broccoli. My steak was nicely grilled, juicy, and delicious, but it was not as tender as I had thought. Don’t get me wrong. It was not tough, but just not as easy to cut. Maybe the steak knife was not as sharp. I had to really make an effort to slice it. The garlic mashed potatoes were very tasty with nice garlic flavor. I would get it again next time as we don’t usually put garlic in mashed potatoes. But I would avoid the green beans, which were not fully cooked. I hope it was just a rare occasion. I would eat any vegetables raw. But for beans or bean sprouts, the raw taste is very strong and unsavory. I’m not saying the green beans were raw, but could be cooked more thoroughly. The lobster my wife ordered was very delicious. Seldom do we eat this cetacean thing. She was graciously enough to let me try a bite. I dipped it in a bath of butter, which was kept warm with a nice little candle burner. The meat was fresh, tender and buttery. I would like to have another bit, but it was too much to ask for because the tail was not that big for two people. The spinach and broccoli were decent. Nothing to brag about. Side note: One reason we don’t go to a seafood restaurant that often is that we LOVE seafood. Whenever we get our hands on seafood, we eat till we’re stuffed to the point that we say oh no we can’t eat any more. As seafood is pricy, we’re just not wealthy enough to get the«fullness» feeling at a fancy seafood restaurant. Anyway, by the time we were almost done and the waitress asked us what desserts we liked, we were very full already(not with the lobster, but the two loaves of bread). We got the cheese cake and the coconut pie. Both were really good. We could finish only half of them and box home the leftovers. The décor is nice and classy. The only thing I felt was the tables were laid out too close. The back of my neighbor’s chair bumped into mine when he got up. The service was great. The waitress was very courteous and friendly. I would come back and try again as there are many tasty items on the menu. Perhaps another Tuesday.

First time visitor last night for dinner. It looks really nice outside, so I wasn’t surprised when it was fancy looking inside as well. The prices are somewhat fancy as well ranging from teens to upper 20’s. They recommended the bang bang shrimp for appetizer, so I opted for the shrimp tacos with fries. You get 3 tacos. My husband got the surf and turf. You get complimentary bread for an appetizer, but our waiter made us wait 20 minutes for it after we ordered. which was probably 10 minutes before our meal came out so I wasn’t sure if that was on purpose or not. The shrimp for sure was banging, but the tacos in general were just lettuce, tomatoes, and 3 – 4 pieces of shrimp.(You get more stuff from Torchy’s Tacos, just saying.) The fries on the other hand were battered and fried to exactly my liking. It reminded me of Rally’s fries. Now if only they were seasoned, then I would come here just for the fries…(drool) The surf and turf was nothing special. My husband ordered the sautéed spinach on the side as well as the mashed potatoes which were nothing fancy. The crab cake was falling apart and the steak was really salty on the edges like they dipped it in the margarita glass salt rimmer. But inside the steak was juicy and cooked to medium rare. Overall, this place wasn’t totally bad. Would I come back? Umm maybe I’ll try it out on a Tuesday, when they have that 3 course meal special.

3.5* the food was pretty good and it was definitely a great deal to come on a Tuesday. Three courses starting at $ 14.9 up to $ 20.7. I got salmon which is normally $ 19 alone with two sides. I wanted it to be blackened extra extra black which it was better than I thought but nothing compared to Cajun restaurants I like in Louisiana. I got a Cesar salad, entrée with two sides, and dessert for $ 14.9. My boyfriend got filet mignon normally over $ 20 and he got it for $ 20.7 with salad and dessert basically for free. They had a lot of good appetizers I would like to try. One is bang bang shrimp which reminds me of Lucy’s retired surf bar in Baton Rouge. They have half off price during happy hour on Wednesdays. Our waiter was nice and pretty accommodating. Two minor complaints the bread, salad and entrée were all brought out almost back to back just felt overwhelmed. We ran low on water and weren’t replenished. Other than that I’d definitely go back on a Tuesday.

If you like Lobster Bisque, Bonefish has the best around. Today I tried the Civiche. Super fresh, excellent. I like a strong cilantro taste so be ready for that. I loved it!

So I typically love Bonefish Grill and it was a favorite restaurant in another city which I resided. Bonefish keeps changing its’ menu(which I understand why) but they keep removing my favorite dishes. This location is pretty new and maybe they are still building up the kitchen staff because the food is underwhelming. I ordered the sea scallops and shrimp and it was bland. Even the Caesar salad was lacking. I’ve visited about 3 times and each time I have been disappointed. I will try it a few more times and see if the quality of food changes.

We came here on a Monday night. Crowd was average, a little on the slow side. We were immediately brought to our table. However, after 6+ minutes of sitting there and 4 – 5 servers passing by us, I had a strong urge to flag down our server. And so I did. The female server I flagged was kind and took our drink orders while we waited for our server to show up. Our server ended up being nice enough, but just slow and had literally no sense of urgency whatsoever. In any event, we tried their Bang Bang Shrimp, which was really good. It was actually $ 4.00 off. Apparently, there’s some sort of special every night. This night, it was the Bang Bang. Sauce was nice and creamy — not spicy at all. It came with two pairs of chopsticks. My son joked and said that they were doing us a favor because we’re Asians. lol. I also ordered the Sea Scallops and Shrimp. The proteins were fresh. However, there was a hint of gasoline. The dish came with your choice of two sides. I ordered steamed broccoli and french green beans. Both were tasty and fresh. The best part of the dinner was the drink I ordered and the fairly reasonable cost associated with it. The Ultimate Infused Dirty Martini was so yummy. I could tell it was one of their better sellers because it was sitting on quite of few tables in the dining area. Oh, and it’s ONLY $ 8.90. Can’t beat that. Copied straight from their menu: «Ketel One Citroen vodka infused with olives for 3 full days. Served ice cold in a frozen martini glass. The best damn dirty martini ever.» I would come back again for drinks and appetizers.

Nice place. Ambiance feels more upscale than the typical chain places. They were very accommodating with parties with kids and food allergies. Loved the artisan bread with pesto they brought. Cocktails were creative; the Cold Snap Cucumber Cosmo came in a cup made from ice which was pretty neat. The Rockefeller oysters were tasty but it could have been any cheesy bacon starter– meaning you couldn’t tell it was oysters. My salmon was a bit under salted but cooked well. Pass on the Filet Mignon and get that at a proper steak house. The Oscar style was not worth it either. We will return again. Certainly a nice addition to the area.

My wife and I decided to visit Bonefish after shopping at the outlets there in Allen. We had not been to a Bonefish fish in many years and wanted to try it again. Overall a really good visit which I gave them a 4 out of 5 rating. The issues were relatively small and resolved quickly. The inside was neat, clean, and inviting. The atmosphere was appropriate for a dinner setting with ample light at your table while maintaining a slight darkness in the restaurant at the same time. The staff was really great. The server we had was knowledgeable about the majority of the menu. The only staff issue I had was an extra helper/server brought our deserts and we knocked over my beverage. She helped clean it up however, never brought me a replacement. I had to wait and grab our server to get a replacement. Appetizers We tried were the Ahi Tuna Sashimi and the Thai Coconut Shrimp. The tuna was cooked just slightly over and I mean just slightly. However, it was still very good, cut thick, and the sauce on the tuna was tasty. There is a sauce on the tuna that is NOT listed in the menu description. I substituted soy sauce instead of the wasbi sauce. Overall the tuna was very good. The coconut shrimp was AWESOME! I was pleasantly surprised that it was not too spicy or heavy on the heat. It has a great balance between sweet and just a very slight heat to it. I highly recommend. Main Course The dinners we selected were the grilled swordfish with spaghetti squash potatoes Au Gratin. I selected the pan asian sauce and the lemon butter sauce on the side so I could dip and try both. Each sauce was very good but I definitely enjoyed the pan asian sauce the most. It is a touch salty but it worked very well with the grilled swordfish. The spaghetti squash was cooked just a touch al dente with a sweetness to it and was amazing. The potatoes au gratin had the perfect blend of potato and cheese. The swordfish was cooked perfectly, nice grill marks, still tender inside with the traditional firmness of a swordfish. My wife had the seasonal special which was the swordfish with the pumpkin ravioli. This was a very good dish once they got it right. This was one of the reason they lost a star. They mixed up her order and had to remake it which is always a 1 star lose in my book. Real mood killer when people don’t have their meals at the same time. They correct the issue very quickly to their defense. The pumpkin ravioli was very good you could taste the pumpkin filling while still enjoying the properly seasoned ravioli pasta. I would recommend getting some sauce for this dish for the swordfish as it comes plain. The lemon butter sauce was a nice complement. Deserts We tried three deserts. The Doughnuts, Coconut Pie, & Seasonal Pumpkin Crème Brulee. The doughnuts were the star of the trio. They were warm, crunchy outside, and soft inside. The caramel dipping sauce was very tasty. I highly recommend these. The coconut pie was made fresh it was served warm and had plenty of coconut and still had good moisture inside. Its a solid desert if you life coconut. The seasonal pumpkin crème brûlée was not very good. It fell flat of expectations. The nice top crust you expect from a crème brûlée had WAY to much nutmeg in it and kills your pallet. My wife removed it to try the pumpkin underneath. We also did not expect the pumpkin to be cold and cold to almost a freezing point cold. The flavor of the pumpkin was ok tasted like basic pumpkin pie filling from a can nothing special. I would not recommend this dish in its current recipe. The whipped cream they served on all three dishes was over whipped. Those who do not know when you over whip cream you end up with butter. So the whipped cream had a thicker more buttery texture to it. Overall I gave them a four out of five stars because the meals were good and service was great. When I compare our experience here to other similar restaurants they are ahead of the game. We will be back to try them again no doubt.

Bad food and slow service here. I am not a fan. I started with a The Mule — tasty and artfully garnished with fresh mint and candied ginger. However rather weak/watery. Next, it took a really long time to be able to order. I ordered the tuna bowl. By the time I received it, I was hungry so I took a big bite. It tasted off. On further inspection, I noticed the seared tuna looked brownish — was it overcooked? no, tuna turns white when cooked. I tried one more bite and my intuition told me it wasn’t safe to eat. I picked at the fresh vegetables and rice that were untouched by the fish. When our waitress returned, my friend told her about the bad fish and she offered me something else. Not wanting to have anymore fish, I decided to ask for a crab cake. She asked«one or two?» — I thought this was tacky, but asked for only one. The manager came by, apologized for the tuna, and brought me a small plate to scoop it off on so I didn’t have to look at it. That was thoughtful. The crab cake was overly gooey with mayo. I picked at the crunchy edge and left the rest. No one noticed. The best part of the meal was the pumpkin crème brule my friend ordered. Like a delicate pumpkin pie with a nice brule on top. The waitress then brought us a bill — 3 women dining and she didn’t offer to split it. I reminded her that I had the coupon for 15% off and she said she can only apply it to one check if she splits the bill. I told her to just apply it to the highest one.

We dined at this location for the first time tonight though we’ve both dined at other locations previously. We were able to make reservations online directly through their website which was super convenient. The interior was nice, but not super memorable(which is fine). There’s a surprisingly large bar area as well as an outdoor patio. Inside the main dining room, the tables are surprisingly close together — I’d recommend asking for a booth if possible as it gets pretty loud in the middle of the restaurant. We started with the Bang Bang shrimp which, as almost every other reviewer has mentioned, is amazing. For anyone concerned with spiciness — it’s really not, just really good flavor. For our entrees, my husband ordered one of the specials with a side of the truffle mac and cheese which I had the lobster tail with a side of sweet potato mash. My husband’s dish was really good though the fish portion was rather small. The truffle mac and cheese was particularly good and was definitely the standout of the night. My lobster tail was fine but nothing particularly noteworthy. I was rather disappointed with the portion of the sweet potatoes and the vegetables though — they were rather skimpy. Overall the food was good, the restaurant nice, and the service fine, but I just felt that nothing really«stood out» or really justified the price we paid. Dinner for 2 with an appetizer and drinks was $ 80 — I guess I just expect a bit more at that price point. I certainly would recommend it as it’s a perfectly nice place for dinner but I just can’t see it being in our regular dinner rotation.

My wife and I had lunch here. It was her second visit and my first. I am not big on chain restaurants but this place does a great job. I know it is very new at this location so I was prepared for some service errors. None, the staff is very well trained and familiar with all of the menu items. I had the fish tacos and that was an excellent choice. 5 stars for great atmosphere, good service, excellent food and fair prices. We will be back!

Bang Bang Shrimp! If you come here, that’s what you should order. It might be hard to share though because it’s so delicious! P. S. It’s half off on Wednesday during happy hour(4 – 6:30pm)! Unfortunately our bang bang shrimp came out the same time as our food. The manager recognized that and was nice to comp us for it, even though we didn’t ask him to. We’ve been to Bonefish Grill at several of their other locations and were super excited when we saw the sign come up that the new restaurant being built was going to be bonefish! We went on a Tuesday and they had a hooked up Tuesday 3 course dinner, where you basically get free salad and desert. I had their Caesar salad, one of the best I’ve had. For my main course, I got the Tuna steak with Mango salsa. The tuna was a bit more cooked than I would have liked though. I finished off with their key lime pie. pecans are added to their crust making much yummier. My husband had their pecan crusted trout. I like his dish more than my mine. They have a nice selection of dishes on the kids menu, which comes with a side and drinks. We were seated at the bar area and I was a little worried the kids might fall. Luckily they had a booster seat that straps to their bar stool and it had a seatbelt. Thumbs up for the booster chair!

Finally some awesome fish in Allen/Mckinney! It’s funny just the other week my hubby commented that we need a good fish restaurant. We asked, now our wish was granted. I started with the Blackberry Sangria and it was perfectly sweetened with blackberries and the tart of the wine. It was really a remarkable Sangria for a fish place. We ordered an appetizer of calamari. I loved how it was presented with sliced pepperoncinis. It also was paired with a spicy flavorful dipping sauce. Then was the best part of the meal. the Crab and Corn Chowder could have been a meal in itself. It was the perfect pairing of lump crab meat and creamy chowder. I ordered the Imperial Tilapia. It is a Tilapia stuffed with shrimp, scallops, crabmeat + lemon caper butter. I love all things seafood so this was the perfect meal that has all my LOVES! It was amazing! Every bight of fresh fish and seafood yummies was a delight to my tongue! The hubby ordered the salmon. He was happy with his order. For dessert we had the Macadamia Nut Brownie. it was a combination of warm moist brownie gooey goodness! It was the perfect ending to an awesome meal! We will be back!
