I finally checked this place out after passing by it everyday for a year. I was not disappointed! Good burgers and cool atmosphere!

The super«on top of it staff» and cozy atmosphere made for a pleasant evening. Quite a few vegetarian options. I myself enjoyed a nice iceberg wedge salad. Would definitely go back.

Delicious food. Great service from a young lady named Caitlyn. I Highly recommend this restaurant. Will definitely be back. I recommend asking for this nice young southern lady Caitlyn.

We tried to dine here on a Saturday night(½/16) since Unilocal said the restaurant was open until midnight. When we pulled up around 10:15pm we noticed the parking lot was pretty empty and thought that was strange since the restaurant was open until midnight. When we walked in, there were a couple of people sitting at the bar and no wait staff in sight. After about 30 seconds or so a waiter walked up to us and asked if he could help us. We asked if the restaurant was open and the waiter said he wasn’t sure. At this point a woman walked up who appeared to be the manager and said the restaurant closed at 10. I responded with« Unilocal says you are open until midnight.» She snapped back at us that«well we are not, Roswell and Woodstock are open.» I understand that the restaurant might not have control over the information listed about it on Unilocal, but the cold, rude tone of the staff left a bad taste in my mouth. If we decide to try Salt Factory again, it will definitely be the Roswell or Woodstock location and hopefully their staff has received better customer service training.

After living in Alpharetta for almost 2 years now, we eventually were able to find time to have a meal here. I had heard many good things about this restaurant, so I was anxious to give it a try. The inside has a great vibe to it, with comfortable seating, and the outdoor patio would be perfect in the Fall or Summer. The wine, beer, & spirits selection looked fantastic, but unfortunately we stuck with water this meal as it was a Monday night and we decided to be responsible parents. Anyway, we had the Crispy shrimp for an appetizer, and also tried the She Crab Soup. The soup was simply fanatic. Great balance of flavor, and would easily order it again. The shrimp was good, but the portion was huge! Not a bad thing, it just left me with little room for our entrée. We split the Blue Crab Cake dish, and honestly we have had better. The horseradish taste was almost overpowering, as I prefer a spicy remoulade type sauce when eating crab cakes. Anyhow, our service was okay. She was attentive when we were her only table, but she didn’t clear our plates or refill our waters very quickly. Tisk, tisk. Anyway, I would come back here and try some different dishes as overall it was a 4 star experience.

The food here was excellent! We really enjoyed the décor as well. Everyone loved their meals, especially the Louisiana egg rolls and the double chicken pot pie. My only minor complaint is that we called ahead for our large party and were told it would be about 15 minutes. When we showed up 10 minutes later, we were told it would be a 20 minute wait. However, it was just a few minutes, and they actually asked a smaller party to move to a different table so we could be seated. There was no forced valet parking on Sunday night. If there was, I’d be tempted to park at Publix and walk over. :o)

We have been here twice in the past week. My husband and I went for lunch during the week and it was SO good. I got the chicken pot pie, it was everything a delicious pot pie should be, creamy and full of white meat chicken and fresh veges with a puff pastry topping. My husband got the steak sandwich. He loved it! We went back on Sunday and we’re thrilled to see they serve BRUNCH! I got the eggs Benedict, my husband got the shrimp and grits and both kids got the chicken and waffles. They were all superb! The chicken and waffles was a huge portion size. I love the Salt in Roswell, so excited to have one in Alpharetta now!

We went for brunch today and it was delicious! The service was great. My 2 yr old even gave the server a fist bump when she brought her pizza — it was huge and yummy and only $ 5! I had an amazing egg scramble, my husband custom ordered a breakfast sandwich, our friends had the fish and chips and chicken and waffles and loved everything. Huge servings and very good. Nice and very clean atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back!

Use to come here a lot when it first opened. Food is pretty good and they usually have a good draft beer or two on tap. Service was generally good. Quit going because of 1) menu didn’t change 2) hassle of using valet for a casual restaurant and 3) rude valet. They need to change up menu seasonally. They really need to train their oyster chucker. Ridiculous how many shucked oyster had shell pieces in it. I would eat a couple of dozen oysters as my meal if they knew how to properly open them.

The forced valet parking was a turnoff especially because the parking was right at the restaurant and so easily accessible. Perhaps on busier nights it would help to have valet parking and it is very likely that they just park at the adjacent publix parking lot. The interiors were trendy with cozy booths and tables. The service was also good but the food is nothing to die for. Our table got a couple of burgers — nothing special, a house salad with scottish salmon & a fatty mayo lemon dressing — delicious!!, rainbow trout, blood orange salmon and a quinoa burger. The fish was enjoyed well and the portion size was certainly big and a couple of people had leftovers to take home. The quinoa burger was not bad but that was pretty much the only vegetarian entrée other than a pizza. The burgers came with French fries and they could substitute salads for no extra cost which was nice. The French fries were crispy and fresh. The beer list was fairly long though most of them were bottled. Wines were imported as well as domestic but were way overpriced.

Food-ok, $$/4 pricewise, service-good, hipster woodsy metal steampunk décor. We had a devil of a time finding this as gps coordinates were off and parking was tough. Menu creative and sourcing was impressive. liked the concept but I felt they could have done soooo much more with this concept. I was expecting more with this salt concept. Strange thing is the server was talking about how there’s red and pink salt out there –well you can do something with that at this place. Margaritas with salt rims, oysters in bed of salt, hard to find type of salt, exotic salts, cures meats with different salts I don’t know why they didn’t do more. Caramel salt ice cream etc. Overall I thought the chaurecturie(pick five fav –appetizers) was too salty –meats and cheese included. Shepherds pie– was good it was made of lamb which I haven’t had before, crab soup-ok, dessert with apple crisp and scoop ice cream sort of plain Jane. Would recommend for people to try cuz of the concept /experience type dining but we’ll probably not go back cuz we basically tried it and there was no singular thing that had me craving to come back. Nothing that I would subconsciously dream about eating.

Great date night place! Great atmosphere and awesome service, which for me is very important for me to thoroughly enjoy a dining experience. The food was delicious and I really savored every bite. We ordered: Chargrilled oysters– All right, not bad but didn’t rock my world but I am a big oyster eater and they are usually raw. London broil– Great flavor, melt in your mouth Lamb shank(special) — Very good! Meat was tender and flavorful Pumpkin cheesecake– Amazing! Crème brûlée– Decadent and smooth with the right amount of sugar crust

LOUISIANASHRIMP N GRITS This dish hits the spot. The grits are cooked perfectly and the shrimp as well. Salt and flavoring were also perfect and the sauce is lickable/dippable with fries or bread. My favorite dish I’ve had here. I think this will be a staple every time I eat here. STEAKHOUSEBURGER Comes with salted fries which are delicious. The burger has crispy bacon, fried egg, and good juicy meat. CREMEBRÛLÉE The Crème brûlée itself is very good, but on the sweeter side. It comes with a strawberry compote/jam with some strawberry bites on top but I think this should be on the side. I like the traditional Crème brûlée and any fruit flavoring a should be on side dish to add if needed. Service was on point for us and that makes a huge difference in our meal experience as well.

I am going to call this a 4-star experience until I get to go again. I was in a fish and chips mood one afternoon so I ordered them for takeout. The coleslaw made the fish wet which was disappointing so I made a point to go back when I could eat in. Turns out, hubby and I had the chance to do that. True to my word, I got the fish and chips and he got the white pizza. Pizza. OMG yum! Perfection. Really. The fish was delicious but I wish the«chips» were crispier. Still, the ambiance was wonderful and the food was delicious. They have valet parking, even on a Thursday night, which was a nice touch.

I’ve come in here a few times with my mom while visiting her, and the food has been good both times. It’s a really small restaurant — built in an old Taco Bell. Although it’s small, the food is good and so are the staff. Much better choice than, as I like to call it, Taco Hell(that’s how I feel after I eat cheap fast food like that). I can’t remember what I had the first time, but on my last trip, I had the Scottish salmon. Not sure what’s different about it being Scottish, but it was good. The blood oranges add a little bit of sweetness, but not too much. The ratatouille on top(stewed vegetables, basically) tasted really fresh. I couldn’t tell you what vegetables they used, but they were good! The best part were the saffron potatoes. I’m not too familiar with saffron outside my trip to Barcelona. These were the perfect compliment to the salmon — good flavor, a touch of sweetness, and not overpowering. Overall a great dish. Next time I’m in Alpharetta(which won’t be very often because mom just moved to East Cobb), I’ll consider Salt if I get hungry!

Visited this location while out of town. We were hunting unique non-franchisey places. We went a little later in evening, after 8. Driving around the outside — there was a little trepidation. But we threw open the door and went inside… The interior is precisely what you’d expect in a British pub or an older American pub. Immediately we were greeted and seated — and were totally comfortable right away. Sturdy wooden tables and booths. Well lit, but diners aren’t in spotlights. The beer and whiskey menus are glorious. Extensive, fair-priced, and interesting. I had an Ommegang, my fellow diners had Peroni. My table ate the Shepherd’s Pie, Fish & Chips, and the salmon salad. The shepherd’s pie was the least of the three — good, very fresh ingredients, but a little too watery. All else was excellent. Service was perfect. Timely, comfortable, attentive, unrushed. Thank you and well done! (Btw, lavatories were clean and well lit.)

HIt or miss after Thanksgiving meal there with family. The hits were the wedge salad, burgers and soups. Biggest miss was the london broil sandwich(barely lukewarm and the meat was tough and pretty flavorless). Service was ok but nothing to write home about. I hear the edition in Roswell is better but you would hope there would be more consistency between locations given they are part of a pretty big restaurant group overall. Oh yeah, just because your place is named Salt Factory doesn’t mean you should only have salt grinders on the table. More of a dumb statement than a cool one. Pepper please…

This was an easy 5 stars. 1 — the atmosphere on the patio made me wish it wasn’t 46 degrees outside when I was there. The atmosphere on the inside did not disappoint. 2 — our server, Chris, knew his stuff. He was very eager and friendly. Every single question that we asked, he answered. In detail. With excellence. 3 — the burgers are solidly good. Had the blue cheese burger. Was a little disappointed by the lack of obvious flavors coming from the mild blue cheese(didn’t know that existed!), but some may love it for that reason. The hand cut fries are great. 4 — the kale salad. With salmon. You need to get the kale salad. With salmon. Just trust me. You may hate kale, may think you hate kale… but you don’t. Not this kale. Not this salad. Wow. I have been dreaming up reasons to to go back so that I can have this again. As soon as possible. 5 — the bread pudding. It looks more like chocolate cake than bread pudding, but it is good. Really good. Go to Salt. Ask for Chris. Order the kale salad with salmon and don’t leave without having dessert.
