This place is a cute restaurant in downtown disney. We only ordered drinks & an appetizer, because we already ate earlier Lol. a glass of sangria for $ 10, or pitcher of sangria for $ 35. She told us that the pitcher fills up more than 4glasses & she was confident in what she said. LIAR!!! it barely filled up 3 glasses & it was mostly ICE! caaa’mon now… rip off… the fries were pretty bomb though, but expensive

When you’re at Disney, this is the perfect place. With the balcony above Downtown Disney, you’ll have a great view to watch the fun and even see a bit of the fireworks. Food is great, especially for«tourist area» cuisine, and drinks are especially stiff. Our favorite server is Cresslyn. She’ll make good suggestions and keep you laughing. Before your reservations, kill time at the bar out in the front courtyard. Dave will make you a mule that will kick your evening into gear.

Stopped here for a pre-HoB concert dinner, so I only had the Arepas and the street fries. The Arepas are excellent! I’ve had ones that are too oily and greasy but this one was just perfect. The pork was delicious. The street fries were so so to me. I thought they were too greasy and oily. The Bar is a great outdoor location and considering the options around, this one didn’t put a dent in your wallet.

5 stars for two reasons. Their Barrel Aged Bulleit Old Fashioned and Yvonne. Arguably the best server we ever had. I was going to order the regular old fashioned but she described the other one and was instantly sold… and sold again with another one. Then she was super helpful with our appetizer and entrée. We went with arepas and split the steak frites. Everything was perfect. I’ve been here before a few times but Yvonne is seriously the real MVP.

Great location, right in the middle of downtown Disney. My friend and I needed to eat at a sit down restaurant so we can get the additional 2 hours of parking and glad we chose to eat here. We sat at the bar and each ordered a glass of wine $ 10ea as well as the fried calamari $ 13 and the side order of the sea salt and garlic fries $ 6. I highly recommend both these appetizers! I am a sucker for fried calamari and they were lightly fried and I also loved that it came on a bed of arugula. The fries were perfectly cooked but could have used a lot more garlic. Since we came here pretty late(9:30p) at night, it wasn’t very crowded so our food and drinks came very quick! I also loved that we were able to apply our Disneyland annual pass discount towards our bill.

We came here on a family vacation down to Disneyland(why is it that vacations are always shorter than they need to be???). The wife and I have been eating mostly paleo for the past 6 months(I say mostly because we need a little cheat here and there). Considering all of the crappy, oily and super unhealthy stuff available to eat in the parks and even downtown Disney Uva was a welcomed surprise. We were able to order some healthy alternatives like the lamb burger, Uva burger or the chicken gyro and request it over a bed of lettuce or wrapped in lettuce. We didn’t need to worry about the gluten free option cause we aren’t eating grains. The meat was super tender on both counts and the food was very flavorful. Definitely worth the stop both times we came here. The service we had both times was outstanding as well. The management and wait staff came over and interacted with our kids and made them laugh which gave mom and dad a chance to take a few bites while the food was still warm which can be a rare occurrence. I mean this if you need a healthy meal amidst all the crazy, sugary, fatty foods are Disneyland and California Adventure look no further than Uva and sit outside if you want around the bar area to soak in the fullness of the downtown Disney vibe.

Garlic Fries, cold draft beer & a shot of Patron that’s all you need & all you need to know. Do they have a lot of other foods? Yes, do I care? No, I just need a cold beer, garlic fries & a shot of my beloved Patron at the bar & I’m good to go. This is the place you come to to get away from the madness, the money spending you’re family is doing. Located in the middle of DT Disney, just go while you’re family shops & you rest up & drink you’re worries away. It’s a good little chill place with good service. Just look at that other dad across the bar from you who has that same tired look in his face that you got & just smile lift you’re beer at him & tell him«Cheers buddy, I get you, here’s to family & working over time till we die to make them happy, cheers». And thank you Uva Bar & Café for being my to go place to drink my worries away at Disney as my bank account gets smaller. But as long as the Fam Bam is happy it’s all Bueno. Salud!

My family and I dined at this place twice during our three night stay at the Disneyland Hotel. Both experiences were great. On the first visit for dinner, we waited in line for about 5 minutes before we got seated. We weren’t really hungry so we just ordered a calamari, cocktails and beer. My son had a cheeseburger which he devoured. We decided to dine there again on our last night and I had a French Dip sandwich. It was delish. The thinly sliced beef is with some horseradish was wrapped in a soft French bread. My wife had the UVA burger. It was very juicy. She had a side of spicy Greek fries which was great as well. The beers are a bit on the expensive side at $ 10 a glass and so are cocktails. I think a Margarita was $ 14. This is expected in Downtown Disney.

Prior to entering the parks, my girlfriend and I will usually stop here for an appetizer and some drinks. Since prices in the park are inflated, it makes sense to stop somewhere in Downtown Disney first. Uva is our place of choice. The bar is located in the middle of everything, which makes for a fun atmosphere. Drinks range from $ 9 to $ 15 depending on what you order, and the appetizers are pretty tasty. Drinks are on the stronger side, so a drink or two should do the trick. I recommend the appetizer fries, they sprinkle garlic and other toppings on them. Delicious. Enjoy! **Tip — Its first come first serve at the bar, and it can get a little crowded. Be patient and wait for a seat at the bar, you will receive faster service.

I was bordering between 3 and 4 stars so this is really more of a 3.5 I came here with my boyfriend one morning before Disneyland for a light snack and some drinks :) We ordered the arepas and two cocktails which were all very tasty! The arepas were kind of small especially for nearly $ 15 but the cocktails were nice and strong heh Service was average I expect anything at Disneyland to be on the pricier side but I guess to me, the $ 50 just wasn’t exactly worth it this time

So Delicious and worth it. I’ve seen the line to this place get so long with people waiting, so that has to tell you something… right!!! Friends and i wanted to eat here and saw a short line finally so i asked how long to be seated and 15 – 20 min. didn’t sound to bad :) The service was great, staff was friendly. We ordered and our food came out in a decent time considering it was getting crowded. The food was so delicious and i see why people would wait so long. Don’t forget if you have a disney pass they will give you a discount on the bill, the seating is all outdoor but they have plenty of heat lamps to keep you warm. Enjoy :)

3 stars for the great food(except for the French Dip sandwich), service and ambiance. A French Dip sandwich shouldn’t have just 3 – 4 slices of beef, it should be as thick as the bread!!! After a long day at Disneyland, we decided to head to Downtown Disney for dinner. All the restaurants had at least a 1 hour wait. The Uva Bar & Café only had a 30 minute wait so we decided to go there. We actually liked our dinner so much we came back the next day for lunch. We had a party of 4 adults and 4 kids and we actually go seated in 20 minutes(very lucky). The service was great, the atmosphere was wonderful. There was so much energy at Downtown Disney that it gave me more energy. My family ordered the following: Steak and Frites($ 22): it was chimmi churri style. Where it has lots of parsley and garlic on top of my delicious steak. This is the only dish for me, it was so good. The steak was juicy and tender and the fries just made it all delicious. French Dip($ 16): My husband got this and was not impressed, the bread was about 1 ½ inch thick and the sandwich only had 3 – 4 slices of beef(see picture). The au jus was great but we wanted the flavor to come from the sliced beef and not the au jus. Next time when I’m craving for a great French Dip, I’ll go to Philippe’s in Los Angeles(Chinatown) or Kate Mantilini in Woodland Hills. At Kate Mantilini, you can order your French dip from rare to well done and it is piled high with delicious sliced beef. Kids Hamburger($ 8.50): my son loved it. Kids and hamburgers go well together. Kids Cheeseburger($ 8.50): same as above. I will definitely go back again just to get the Steak and Frites. So delicious!!!

My favorite Downtown Disney spot! Let me tell you all the reasons why I love it: — — — — – –Right smack dab in the middle of Downtown Disney, so it’s very conveniently located when doing a Disney day. –Nice ambiance with the cute circular bar, outdoor seating, and great people watching. Don’t worry if it’s a chilly day/night, they have ample heaters and it really does warm the space up. –Fantastic drinks! Yes, they are pricy, but what at Disney isn’t? Lots of variety, great tasting, and unlike all other Disney drinks, STRONG! Must try the sangria! –The food is really good! My faves include: the flatbread pizzas, tuna tartare tacos, and cobb salad. — — — — – So there you have it! So many great reasons to take some time out of your Disney day to pass by here or choose this spot if you’re dining at Downtown Disney.

I never complain because I’m in the restaurant business, but this mornings’ breakfast experience was horrible. We Ordered 2 breakfast burritos, one no cheese and a sandwich. 40 minutes later chilaquiles and pancakes come out it’s not even busy. How can you forget our order? The food runner and Adam, our server tried to figure it out in front of us. Do me a favor and do it in the kitchen. Then he comes out and says they put cheese on your burrito. We had to wait an addition 10 minutes for the 2nd burrito. I take my son to the restroom and Becky who looks like the manager is texting at the front desk. Shouldn’t you be helping your server who’s in the weeds with 3 tables? He even screwed up the table next to us. NOBUENO

2÷12÷16 Walking through downtown disney my boyfriend and i decided to give this place a try. Aside from having a beautiful view everything else was horrible. We order the paloma drink, first mistake we made. 1) it took forever to get our drink. 2) it tasted like it was sitting out and had ice added to it. Now to the food… It was very bland and unsatisfying. For what we are paying for it should atleast have some sort of flavor. The only thing that i liked was the water. Overall would i come back? No. They have a beautiful set up, i just wish the food was just as good as the place looks. Dont waste your time or money. 2÷13÷16 Now that its the next day… My boyfriend has been on the toilet all night. Definitely never coming back here.

It is hard not to like this place. A nice selection of craft beer on draft and more in bottle. A full bar and a solid wine list. While the menu is not extensive, there are some good choices for a mid afternoon nosh or a light lunch. It is right, smack in the middle of Downtown Disney, so it is conveniently located if you are taking a break from the park or want a drink after a long day of hanging with Mickey. I grabbed a quick salad and a few brews while my wife was taking an afternoon recharge nap from a long morning of Pirates of the Caribbean. The services is quick and friendly.

3.5÷5 stars! Great place to dine if you’re in the Downtown Disney area, if you’re willing to spend a little more. My review is based solely on my experience dining outside! [WAITTIME] There’s a wait time from Friday-Sunday. The longest I’ve waited to be seated was about 15 minutes, so nothing too bad. I was seated automatically on a Wednesday night! [SERVICE] Great service, they come around to check up on you often, and are very attentive. Props to them for the great service! [FOOD] Yes, the food is expensive. Incredibly expensive for what you get, to be honest. I would have given this place 4 stars but the prices are so marked up at this restaurant that I bumped it down half a star. Burgers range from $ 11-$ 18 I believe, but they come with a side of fries. I shared the Uva Street fries($ 11) appetizer and chicken wings($ 16) with my friend. The Uva Street fries are great, but not worth $ 11. Love the garlic in it, but the pieces of sausage in it were incredibly dry and difficult to chew. The chicken wings(9 pieces) are basically buffalo wings. They’re really plump and in no way small, so they were super filling! Again, not worth the money. Almost $ 2 per chicken wing? I’ll pass. [ALCOHOLICDRINKS] Mixed drinks are strong and the beer on tap isn’t bad. I prefer the beer on tap here over the beer at ESPN Zone! [TIPS] — If you’re looking to dine(food), I recommend eating before the sun sets. Lighting outdoors isn’t great at night. — Validate your parking with them before you leave. [TL;DR] Beer on tap is better than ESPN Zone, mixed drinks are strong. Food is SO expensive, share appetizers with friends if you can or avoid the food all together. Service is very attentive.

Disneyland, you tricked us. We have been to Uva outside and inside now. The second time was sort of a mistake. We had remembered that it was Uva as the bar area and Catal was the restaurant, but when we went up to the building to see the menu and prices it said Uva Bar & Café. For some reason we figured it was just all Uva now. We spoke with the hostess at the stand and said we wanted a table for two, and we were led inside. Afterwards, we noticed the other side of the window had a menu for Catal. What? So Catal is still there, but how do we eat there? There was only one host stand. We didn’t specify where we wanted to eat. Is there a code or something? It’s sort of a blessing in disguise, though, since the prices for Uva were lower than Catal. And Uva is overpriced as it is. …and there, I basically just gave away my entire review. Uva is, simply put, overpriced for what you get. We ended up sharing the Street Fries appetizer and a chicken sandwich between the two of us. The fries were alright, nothing exactly wrong with them, but it’s like $ 13 or something(I’m not checking on the actual price) for a plate of fries with a bit of sauce and cheese. Likewise, the chicken sandwich seemed appropriately priced(it is Downtown Disney after all, you gotta expect a little markup), but when it arrived it seemed incredibly small(they cut it in half for us since we were sharing, and looking at the two halves together it didn’t look like it made a satisfying whole). That’s really the best thing about this place, it’s Disney so you do get good service. Cutting our sandwich in half since we were sharing. The sandwich came with a side of fries already, and since we got two separate plates we basically got an extra dosage of fries and not a depressingly sparse plate due to the split. Oh, and food was all good. It’s just pricey.

Cool place to grab a drink or hangout with friends if you’re ever in the downtown Disney area. The food and drinks are moderately priced considering its location. Service was friendly and good. Avoid ordering a Bloody Mary, it had no flavor and couldn’t even be helped with a few dashes of Tabasco lol.

It’s in Downtown Disney & it’s a bit upscale so be prepared for the menu being slightly overpriced. You can use your pass here for the discount though !! Because it was raining all the outdoor vendors weren’t selling any alcohol in California Adventure so we came here for some drinks & a bite to eat before heading back to the parks. Luckily the wait time wasn’t too bad & we got a nice table by the window. My friend & I ordered the pear martinis while we were trying to figure out what we were going to eat & good lord was there any pear in there ?? There was, but it was minimal & at times I felt like I was sipping on rubbing alcohol. When I did get hints of pear oh the potential to be delicious was so there but it was just way too strong. Should have just gone with a glass of wine ! For my meal I did the steak without the horseradish sauce & a side of the bacon mac & cheese. While my steak wasn’t medium well like I would have liked it was delicious anyway ! Flavor was bursting & I devoured it. Same goes for the mac & cheese ! If you’re ordering any sides like the garlic fries or the mac you can definitely share with people ! Our waiter recommended we order 2 orders of the fries between 5 people & really all we needed was 1. My friend ordered the burger & was disappointed, she said it was nothing different than what she could make at home & it had been burnt when asked for medium well. My other friends ordered some of the salads on the menu & all said they were great. If I’m at disneyland & in the mood for a yummy steak I’ll come back !

A Mediterranean restaurant in Downtown Disney? Most are unaware this restaurant even exist but having been here a handful of times I can say the food is pretty good. I decided to come here for my Birthday dinner. Since it was Holiday time, most restaurants in Downtown Disney had an average wait time of an hour to 2 hours without reservation. Luckily at Uva bar we had the option to sit on the upstairs outside patio which shortened our wait time to only 15 minutes. After immediately being seated, the waiter turned on the heat lamps. We were provided with menus right away and we ordered the Seafood paella as the main and chicken fingers as the side. We didnt have to wait for the food long, it came out still warm. The paella is a customer favorite and I see why. There was plenty of flavor in each bite. The seafood was fresh and rice just right. I would come back to Uva just for this dish alone. A little pricey but it’s worth it.

I really liked this place. We were hungry and most of the great restaurants in California Adventure were booked so we had to venture to Downtown Disney and came upon this place. The menu looked great so we decided to give it a shot. They had a ton of burgers, and guess what? They were actually good! Downtown Disney can be a huge miss, but this place actually nailed it rather well I thought. The meat was cooked perfectly and the size felt right. Still, it’s a bit overpriced. You’re really paying more than you should and it’s mainly due to its location. Still, I really enjoyed it overall, but could use a price dive when their is so much competition in the area at better prices for similar quality.

This restaurant was in the downtown Disneyland area just outside of the park and resort. We sat downstairs, but there was also an upstairs with a full bar as well as outside seating. The table we sat at had the chairs so close to the neighboring table that it was a little difficult to get in and out of the chairs for both tables. We ordered the UVA Burger with French fries($ 16), the Top Shelf Burger with spicy«Greek» fries($ 21), and the Plancha Grilled Chicken Caesar($ 17). We waited a while before our food came out. The Top Shelf Burger was good and not too big. It almost felt like it was smaller than half a pound but I could be wrong. I didn’t really like the spicy«Greek» fries and should have stuck with the French fries. The Plancha Grilled Chicken Caesar was not bad until I found anchovies in it. Yes, the description had that in there, but I guess we missed it. Our waitress was nice and friendly. It seemed like she was pretty busy. This place was okay to eat something while roaming around.

My first impression of this place is that it seems a little disorderly. It’s an outside bar located in Downtown Disney. It’s very pretty, and it’s circular in shape. I have been here a couple of times before, and every time is always the same. We get in line to be seated and although there are a ton of open tables, we always have to wait. Twice, several larger parties have been seated before us while we just stand there staring at empty tables. When we’re finally seated, and our orders are taken, we find ourselves waiting a very long time for everything. We ordered a pitcher of beer, and it took a good 20 — 30 mins to bring that out, food takes forever because they cook it inside Catal and run it out to us, and all other drinks take a really long time. It just seems like their bar is really backed up. It’s strange to me because they allow children in here and a large chunk of the patrons are children who are obviously not ordering any alcohol. It’s pretty expensive too, but I’m not going to complain about that since it’s expected of a place located in Downtown Disney. A pitcher of beer was about $ 35 and so was a pitcher of sangria. I’ve also had the michelada pop, which I actually enjoyed. But it’s $ 5 for the popsicle on top on whichever beer you choose(around $ 10 for a beer). $ 15 for a michelada is pretty up there, but again, it’s to be expected because of the location. We come here because Disneyland gets so crazy and busy sometimes, we just want to get out and get a few drinks. Cove Bar in DCA always has like an hour wait, so this seems like the lesser of two evils. It’s not a magical Disney experience though, so beware.

UVA Bar at CATAL is the perfect place to get a bite to eat when you’re in Downtown Disney. UVA is an outdoor seating area just outside the full service and VERY good restaurant CATAL. When you’re casually dressed but still want quality food with great service, this is the place you’ll want to go to. We ordered a couple off menu spicy margaritas and they were awesome. I then ordered the lamb burger and it too was killer good. We also ordered a cheese burger and a fish and chips. Also good. My daughter ordered the chicken gyro and… Let’s just say, they should probably stick to a traditional gyro. Not so great. Besides the gyro, everything else was fine. Our waitress Sage was very friendly and made our dinning experience much more enjoyable. Sven took over at one point and was… cordial. All in all, It’s a cool place to get a couple drinks and bite to eat.

Kinda pricey, but I did enjoy my meal at Uva Bar. It’s in the Downtown Disney area, so you expect to pay more than you would at a normal restaurant. We’ve been here for cocktails before and some people watching late at night, but had never experienced the actual food here. We ended up here because our Disneyland plans fell through for dinner. We wanted to make the best of our time since we were already in the area and figured, «why not?» The weather was nice and since we were fairly early, there was plenty of seating in this great outdoor space. Cocktails were about $ 12-$ 18 depending on what you got. Because of the warm temps, I just went the iced tea route because I knew there were endless refills in my future. For food, I chose their seasonal burger which happened to be the Oktoberfest Reuben Burger with a side of garlic fries. I actually really loved my burger. The patty was a blend of short rib, chuck and brisket, covered with Swiss, Russian dressing and garnished with cole slaw. Everything went together really well and they even cooked it medium correctly the way I like it. The fries were delicious, but I ended up trading with Jaime because his cajun covered ones were too spicy for his liking. By 6pm, there was a large line forming in front of the restaurant with people looking to get a table. So if you’re going during the weekend, the earlier the better. I’d definitely come back for dinner now that I know their food is good too!

Nothing really wowed me here. Our service was alright. He took a while on refilling our drinks but it was a busy night so that was understandable. My boyfriend decided to get the Uva Burger with Street Fries and he kept saying that the Street Fries were bomb but to me it was so-so. I had the Steak and Frites and I asked for medium rare for my steak. My steak came out more than medium rare, it was more like medium well. My fries also tasted like it was cooked well done! I took a bite of my fries and it was so crunchy and hard that I had my boyfriend try my fries. He agreed that the fries were well done. Food is mediocre at best. Service was alright. The price and food doesn’t match up so overall 3 stars in my book.

After giving this place a second try, everything improved immensely. Drinks: –Uva Mule: LOVEDTHIS! If you like Moscow Mules, this is even better because the bartender puts their twist on the traditional ginger beer. I like the added lime foam at the top of the drink. If you mix everything together, you can’t even taste the alcohol! –Michelada with Corona: Beer with a popsicle. The popsicle melts into the beer as you gradually stir it and it adds more flavor and freshness. If you’re adventurous, you should definitely try it! Food: –Calamari: I like the added spice to the calamari. It’s not like other restaurants where it’s fried and they give it to you unseasoned. The sauce on the side adds a great touch to the dish. –Street Fries: The huge cloves of garlic and chunks of cheese really change the way you eat these fries. There weren’t many slices of chorizzo, but i didn’t mind. Service: –Thanks to the manager Jason for the fabulous service. –Our waitress Deanna was also very helpful throughout our dining experience. Ambience: –I liked going on a random tuesday because it wasn’t too crowded and we were able to sit in the shade. The bartenders looked more lively today than they did the last time I came.

Unilocal 2015 Challenge #90 Uva Bar, smack dab in Downtown Disney! If you go through Downtown Disney once, you’ll be able to find it. Nearby from the Jazz Kitchen, the Uva Bar is made of two different parts: the inside part, and the outside part. You probably hit the outside part as the road splits into two and meets back around the Uva Bar. :D You get to see drinks, alcoholic drinks and you choose what you want. What do they have? You probably can find something you like here. Came here and got a sandwich. Uva Burger($ 16) — Aged white cheddar cheese, secret sauce, shredded lettuce, vine ripe tomatoes, pickle, with a side of French Fries. The burger itself was alright in size, but I liked it. Definitely better than the Smashburger I had a couple days back but not as good as you know. In’n out and the habit. But at $ 16? Yikes. Yeah, you pay for the Downtown Disneyness display, but that’s alright. It’s to be expected :3 Also, for some odd reason, they don’t bring your napkins with your burger unless you ask for it :(It took some time to get someone to get it for me because it just so happened I needed in between the times our waitress checked(about every 5 minutes or so). Wait here at 7pm is around 10 – 15 minutes for the outside(Saturday). Don’t know much more about the inside part :( Bön apetit.
