So I’m not from Alaska but I’ve been living up here for about two years and I’ve been to the Popeyes up here a couple of times and every time I have gone they have been out of something the majority of the time they are out of fries today they have fries but they were out of lettuce you’d think that as a restaurant they would have the supplies that they need to make everything on their menu and if they ran out that they would run out and get more. Plus the lady at the drive thru had a major attitude when I asked if I could change my order. I’m just saying its a bad way to run a business.

«The place is under new managment and are trying to improve their services. Hang in there» said the drive threw lady. Whatever it is, they need to work harder on getting everything together. Pretty soon this place wont be the place i come to get my meal if there’s no change! Always out of stuff, bad service and long wait(most time). Good chicken and red bean.

Ok, I work in Anchorage and have been eating at this place for the last 3 years… today was my last straw… never again. So let me tell you about my experiences over the last year: May 2015 — ordered food, went to the window, paid, and after paying was told they were out of lettuce and pickles… for a Po-boy, that consists of bread, shrimp, lettuce, and pickles… June 2015 — After ordering and paying«we are out of ice for our drinks» its 74 degress today… I would have just ordered the sandwich and forgone the warm pepsi had I known before I paid. But alas, I love their red beans and rice and shrimp Po’ boy, so I keep going back. August 2015 — they are out of chicken… wtf…, now today… I order my usual, notice that they have a fancy new sign, and think, maybe they are finally making some changes and turning this place around! I eat my red beans and rice, bomb as usual, and then I open my Po’boy(that is the same price mind you as it was two weeks ago before these changes) and low and behold… it is now smaller, and instead of a nice chunk of French bread, its served on a fricken hot dog bun… I’m not even kidding. A hot dog bun. Mushed and soggy. I posted a photo so you can see it. Oh and the drinks are now 12oz instead of 20 oz.

Terrible service. I ordered a three piece meal. Waited outside 25 minutes before i went inside to get a refund. Owners obviously dont care about good service.

Owned and ran by a ghetto ass fool so expect ghetto ass food and service. Save your money and go buy some chicken and bake it yourself because that’s how long you’ll be waiting for your food.

This is a terrible Popeyes. The chicken is always cold when you get your order. The cashier is rude and the service is horrendous. It’s clear after reading all of the reviews of this place that you should consider another option because you will be severely disappointed. The better alternative is the Popeyes on base at the bx. Your Popeyes experience there will be excellent and the chicken won’t be cold at the bx.

This place should seriously be investigated by the city for its sanitary practices. One of the employees licked her finger while grabbing a bag for my food. I made them remake everything while i curtly explained why that wasn’t ok. I told the girl i didn’t want her anywhere near my food and she extinguished her presence and went to the back.

Went in tonight and got the wrong order. My wife touched her chicken trying to see if all her pieces her spicy. When she took the order back they threw out the pieces she had bitten on that was with the other pieces of chicken and threw the rest back into the pile with the cooked chicken to go out to customers.

GROSS. Coleslaw was bad — literally. Like gone bad. We told service ppl and they said they’d «look into it». That didn’t happen. Food was ok — it’s fast food… Service was lackluster… Just didn’t care. But serving food that’s gone bad when they know about it? No. No no no.

I’ve forgiven this place since I moved here in 1998 for their extremes in cost-cutting resulting in ridiculous wait-times even with high traffic, their less than enthusiastic staff, and the annoying way they have of being out of special items, peach things during peach-time, etc. However, last night was just ridiculous. I wanted an 8-piece dinner. I asked for it no legs, could I have either thighs or wings instead. I was told no, it’s sold by a mix of pieces. Well, duh, that’s still what I was asking for. When I pointed that out, I was told they would be happy to give me all white for $ 3,00 dollars more. I said I was not wanting that, simply anything but legs, I don’t care if it’s the smaller cut of wings or what. «No, we can’t do that.» I said, so let me get this straight, you’re happy to charge me more for what I don’t want, but not to give me less at the same price for what I do want. ‘Yes, mam, that’s right.“ I just left. Seriously? It’s not like I was asking for something odd, or totally in my favor $$ wise. Not shrimp for chicken prices or anything. Just different, even smaller, pieces of chicken in the place of chicken. Does customer service not exist at all anymore? You just lost a decades-long customer over two chicken wings. Wow.

The worst place for fried chicken, ever! I was born in a third world country, so I’ve seen some crap but nothing compared to this horrible mess. I spent 25 minutes on the drive through BEFORE I was able to place my order, then after I placed my order I had to wait another 15 minutes to receive it! 40minutes in total! Want to know the worst part? I was dying to leave the place, but by the time I noticed the eternity in line, I already had 3 cars behind me so I just sat there, pondering my suicide. Not only did I wait this long for the Fastest Fast Food joint on this earth to order, the stupid(no other adjectives befit this person. I tried) gave me the only attitude and sassed me so bad, I got out of the car and, well, let her have it along with the other two idiots that work there… Why idiots? THEYMESSEDUPMYORDER!!! how the hell do you spend this time making the damn chicken and then you mess up my order?! Ugh, typing about this is giving me a stroke…

I love Popeye’s. Recently discovered their Macaroni and Cheese and thought it was really delicious. Past tense: the last few times it was pretty disgusting and I witnessed tonight exactly why. The stuff apparently comes frozen and they dump it into a plastic container and pour a whole bunch of hot water into it effectively watering it down and it tasted like diluted macaroni and cheese soup. Done. No more.

Popeye’s has horrible service! I would spend my money here if someone gave me the same amount of money as a car. The fries and biscuits were good, but the ghost pepper wings were mild not spicy. A tip is: don’t order more than 5 things unless you want it to take forever. :(

I wouldn’t even give them a star but I had to. Service sucked. It was over an hour wait in the drive thru. Watched 4 people including the manager walk around drink soda the whole time. Customer Service was a bare minimal, attitude the whole time. First and last time I will ever go there.

Horrible service! Did not have French fries and cole slaw. Ordered nuggets, which was on the menu and we were told they were not serving them anymore… Waited 30 minutes for food because they lost our ticket… Will not be going back…

I believe this is the one and only Popeyes Chicken in Anchorage(Maybe in All of Alaska). The employees are sometimes rude, but common it is a fast food joint. I always ask for napkins when going through the drive through because they sometimes forget. The chicken keeps us coming back. The wait time is usually long but I think that is because they cook it as then need it, rather than cook a lot and have it sit under the heat lamp. The Chicken is always hot.

Horrible service. Slow people. Rude. And wrong orders. Need new staff and faster service. They need new staff. That’s all I’ll say!

I love Popeyes chicken, but the service here is atrocious. There were only 2 people ahead of me when I arrived at 2PM today. I was in line 14 minutes before I could place my order. All I wanted was 2 pieces spicy chicken thighs – nothing more, but I had to wait another 8 – 10 minutes after placing the order before I had my meal. The two people ahead of me were unfamiliar with the menu, even after having stood in line a long while they didn’t know what they wanted. It took forever. What upset m most though was that there was no sense of urgency, no effort made to expedite the process. Not everyone is retired, on vacation, or otherwise at a loss as to how better to spend their time than to stand and wait. The lady at the counter was friendly and pleasant, but she could have made the effort to bag up the small, simple orders as she takes them: it would have been more efficient than standing there staring at the next customer as he/she stared at the menu trying to decide what to order. I love Popeyes chicken, but there is a reason I only go there once every 10 to 12 months. It’s just not worth the hassle.

I can’t stay away from the red beans and rice. I hadn’t been here for about two years, but it was just as I remembered. This is one of the very few fast food franchises I go to. Something about the creamy beans and plump rice grains that sucker me in every time. I like the chicken too, especially the spicy version. A wing and a drumstick went down my neck on this visit too. Nice and tasty, and I’ve always gotten them piping hot.
