Good townie bar. Food is ok. It seemed better 5 years ago when i last visited, but that was a game day. Reliable favorite.

Don’t ever come here for a late night drink. They have posted hours, but only some bartenders follow them. They close at random when they want. I’ve even seen them close early with a full bar. They get mad at their customers and close the bar. It doesn’t feel like they get the hospitality industry at all.

The staff here is amazing. They all work hard and genuinely care about their customers. I’d recommend this place over any bar downtown, hands down.

My girlfriend moved to Ann Arbor 40 years ago and this year we are going to visit all the bars and restaurants have been around that long. Fraser’s is a mecca for U of M sports fans. We go there often as it is a neighborhood bar. Always attentive wait staff and excellent bar fare menu. If you go often you will see many of the same patrons. There are reasons places have been around for 40(or more) years, they take care of the people who come in. They’ve made some additions in the past few years: an outdoor patio(we did not use it being January) and a Sunday brunch. It’s a place to go to watch a game, cheer the Wolverines, and have a good meal. See you there.

They are very gracious and let us watch English Premier League games early on Sunday mornings. Also, this is one of the last classic Ann Arbor bars — the food and drink is what you expect — nothing too fancy, but just what you want. Also, it’s got a nice enough din that most little ones can comfortably fall alseep there for their nap times.

I really like this place. The food is pretty good and the atmosphere is very chill and casual. You get the feeling that there are a lot of regulars. What could be better is the beer. The only beer list in the whole place is a chalkboard above the bar, which you can read if you’re actually standing at the bar or you have exceptional vision. Their cheap options are, unfortunately, just Bud Light and Labatt.

My friends and I love this place. Good beer list and a chill atmosphere. This is a great neighborhood bar and a good alternative to the downtown scene. Melissa is the best!

Food average, service below average on every occasion I have entered. I want to like Fraser’s and keep giving it another chance but not any more!

Wow has this place changed! I grew up in Ann Arbor and always went here. It used to be a blast with nice people, totally not the case now!!! The servers are very rude and not friendly. Service was horrible tonight. Please make the people nice again! My friend asked the waitress what beers they had on tap she said«can you see that board up there?» When he said no she said«really» and she never did tell him. It was too bad we were meeting other people here or we would have left right then. Food was good. It is just the waitresses that left a lot to be desired! They may have updated the interior, they really need to take a class in hospitality. Or at least read Danny Meyer’s books. No wonder it’s never crowded anymore! It used to be the place to come home to and meet all of your friends. So sad.

They have some nice happy hour specials($ 1 off craft beers on Sundays), and the food is OK. I had the buffalo chicken wrap, and it was disappointing. The staff was fun and attentive, and the place has some beautiful TVs for your sporting needs. I will definitely return and try the food again. I hear the burgers are supposed to be good.

Been having a craving lately for, of all things, a simple grilled chicken sandwich. Practically everyone serves bird on a bun, but I’ve been wanting to return to Fraser’s, so there I went. We went there a while back for burgers, weren’t all that impressed. Patty didn’t have much flavor, was overcooked. Draft beers were a little pricy. In spite of that, I did like the atmosphere. Very comfy, unpretentious neighborhood bar, something rare in Ann Arbor. That’s what drew me back today, though maybe I should have paid more attention to my memories of the food. The chicken wasn’t bad, but was a little dry. It was topped with bacon, which really didn’t add much. Honey mustard sauce came on the side, but one bite of the sandwich with a little of it schmeared on persuaded me to eat the rest plain. Service was fine, and I did appreciate the bottle of Alaskan Brewing IPA on special for $ 3. Otherwise, the epitome of «eh.»

Amazing burgers(try the smokehouse), often rotating and varied local beers on draft, and attentive servers who can typically remember return customers(me!) and their orders. The vibe is basically neighborhood hangout/sports bar. Good for a large group, but avoid Wednesday’s Trivia Night if you want a chill atmosphere.

This place reminded me of a hospital lobby waiting room. There was something abundantly wrong with everyone in this place, including with the two girls behind the bar. They wouldn’t know how to make real drinks is someone forced them down their throats, and customer service? forget about it. This place was an extreme fail on all levels of what I look for in a good neighborhood bar. Unless there is a change in management or staff I Will never return. It was a Saturday night. When we exited the car, an extremely large(wide) gentleman standing next to the entrance smoking. I don’t believe he was an employee(or at least I hope not), but he greeted us and stated«This is not a smoking bar». My friends and I looked at eachother and kind of «Yeah no kidding»… Once we entered there was a large table of people in front of us, they all looked out of it. Im not sure if they were heavily served or on drugs, or maybe even mentally impaired. But they stared at us the whole time, one gentleman was even turned all the way around and drooling as he starred. Once at the bar, the two ladies behind the bar were all the way at one corner talking to an older gentleman that came off to me as the owner or manager. they sat there laughing and joking for a good 4 – 5 minutes. before even acknowledging us. Once they did see us, you could just see their eyes roll. I was so shocked that they were that obvious at it when it came time to order my drink I was caught off guard. I was wondering why were eyes rolled when they saw us, why was there an enormously noticeable sign? We were all well dressed, on the way from one place to another, ordered nothing but premium spirits, and there was a small group of us(4 people). How can anyone be upset when a group of 4 local people, used to drinking on Main street step in their obviously forgotten dive bar and have a drink or two? Once the bar tender left us, which was immediately after she served us our drinks. I was able to ask everyone if they felt the same way I did, and they surely did. We thought, well maybe we caught them off guard and they were in the middle of a good conversation when we came in, so we decided to wait until she came back and asked if would like anything else. Well, that took a while, and when she did she was just as rude as before so we all decided to leave. Granted we were on the way somewhere else, we were clearly not in a hurry. we could have very much decided to stay here, and end up coming back. Not now, they can keep the weird local crowed they have. I will enjoy watching this place go up for sale when it does.

After reading mixed reviews on Unilocal,I was cautious about eating here. The food was decent, just average. I had nachos, and my boyfriend had a burger. The reason for only one star is the poor service. We sat down and had to wait at least 10 minutes before anyone offered us a menu. It seems as if the servers don’t have sections; they just all take turns coming(or not coming) to your table. We finally placed our order, and we never saw the server again. No «how is everything?» No refills. Nothing. My boyfriend had to walk to another table and use their ketchup because our server never came near us. Then, we had to flag down a server to bring us the check. We won’t be going back.

Trust me when I say, this is THE local bar. You cannot find a more reliable, friendly staff in town. I was new in town, had no friends and knew no one. I came here, was welcomed and now I don’t have any friends other then the people who work here or the regulars that come in. Yes, it’s seems sad for me but it’s not. Besides the people, the food is great. Nachos are awesome, the Mahi sliders are a favorite. The burgers, thr burgers are the real deal. Everything else aside, you have to meet Jarrell. Just ask for him, he’ll be there.

Fraser’s is a bit outside my usual downtown bubble, but it’s such a great neighborhood bar, I try to show up at least once a week. Top 3 bars in Ann Arbor, and it’s the best way to flee the yuppie vibe when you want something down to earth. If you’re looking to watch a game, there are plenty of TVs, but it’s just as good for an after-softball burger and pitcher night, or to sit at the bar and unwind. The staff is really friendly, and you can tell that it’s a place where a bunch of people know each other. Go more than once, and you’ll already recognize the regulars. Great food(spiciest buffalo wrap in town, awesome burgers), and even better, the kitchen is open later than most spots downtown. Plenty of hip Michigan beer, and enough cheap Canadian stuff to drink by the pitcher when things are rowdier. At least 20 taps. Fraser’s

I’m dinging Fraser’s a star based on my recent experience for two reasons: 1. Fraser’s is the first bar in A2 I’ve been to that outlawed ‘vaping’. I’m not sure why and I am sure that 99% of people could care less, but I dislike it on principle and hate it personally. I get that they’ve dumped some money on the place to make it ‘nicer’, but come on people. You’re still Fraser’s. People come to drink and watch sports, vaping isn’t hurting anyone. 2. Man I forgot how miserable the service always is. I don’t need to be treated like a king, but the disdain I always seem to get here boggles the mind. So I’m done with Fraser’s. I’m not quite sure what’s keeping me from giving them one star. I guess because I can see how some people enjoy it, but I’m not one of those people. Maybe I should thank them for giving me a concrete reason to never go there again?

My boyfriend and I discovered Fraser’s about a year and a half ago. We fell in love instantly! Angry orchard on tap and some of the best Fish and Chips we’d had in years! We trie to go in a couple times, but since the fall it was always too busy for us, so we decided against it. Then a couple nights ago we final decided to brave the crowds(which looked bad from the outside, but inside they were only about half full). We each ordered beers from the extensive list. They were cold and refreshing, but that was the only thing that bumped this from a 1-star to a 2. Something has changed at Fraser’s that has ruined it for us, sadly. The Fish and chips I so loved has reduced in size(but not in price). I am also VERY convinced the fish had been frozen. I can’t tell if it was already frozen and fried, or just frozen filets that they breaded and fried, but the texture was not that of fresh fish(or even freshish). It also had NO flavor. They use to have nice beer battered fish, that you could taste the beer, but no longer. My boyfriend had a steak sandwich. The first bit was all fat, there was no flavor, and if there was a whole cup of meat/onions I would be surprised. All this was terribly disappointing, but the worst came from the service. We waited around FOREVER to leave. Our plates had been cleared(I don’t even think we were asked if we wanted another drink) and we just sat there for about 25 minutes. Our waitress walked by multiple times as she cleaned up the side room and finally we had to ask for the check(which I HATE doing because I feel so rude). I’m not sure if the bar is no longer in the same family or they have to cut back on the good stuff because of their new tacky sign, but I am throughly depressed and will not return.

My reviiws of the restaurant are mixed… I came in because I had purchased a Living Social Deal. Pros: I had the quarter pound cheeseburger and it was pretty good! It came with a lot of fries, which was nice, but I thought they could have been cooked a little bit more. Their happy hour specials are great! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the wine was only $ 3/$ 4 a glass. They had a nice menu. A lot of sandwiches, salads, burgers, a few fish entrees, appetizers, etc. Cons: The service. The bartender was nice at first and then she just disapeared to the end of the bar and I sat there and waited, and waited. At least she was having fun. I saw her chatting it up with a regular guest(she knew him by name so I am guessing he is a regular), drinking wine and yellling the F bomb… I’m guessing her shift ended and she didn’t tell me… Another bartender came on an poured me a glass of wine. When I put my debit card on the bar to bar to pay I had to wait quite awhile. I kept pushing it to the end of the bar to get someone’s attention and then some random man took and it and very quietly said thanks for coming. Overall, the food was ok. Service was ok. I’d stop again if I were on that side of Ann Arbor. And starving.
