This business is a sham. They are dishonest, irresponsible, and trying to make a quick buck. This was the second time I ordered from Haifa, and the second time it was delivered without any of the extra ingredients and without the drink I paid for. On top of everything, when I called the place I was told that there is nothing they can do. Because I used a delivery site to place my order, all I got was«we cannot help you with that.» When I demanded an explanation, I was told to «check my sandwich again» and that they«prepared the meal as ordered.» After I called them out for apparently accusing me for their mistake, and pointing out the fact that the drink was also missing, this is what I got: «then we must have run out of those.» No apologies, no explanations besides the lame«we were out of that.» So, why would you charge people for things you cannot deliver, and why on earth would you refuse to refund them? Just completely irresponsible and unresponsive behavior. There is no need for public shaming for honest mistakes but the story here at Haifa is unfortunately neither honest nor a mistake. I should have gotten my lesson from the first disappointment though. As I hate to be cheated and overcharged TWICE, I decided to leave this comment, sparing myself the exposure to their rude and disrespectful attitude. I won’t be ordering from this place ever again.

Love their falafel, freshly made to order, tastes so great! If you want to try the best Falafel in the area this is the place to go to, I would def recommend it with a side of amba sauce, trust me you’ll love it!

I was so impressed by how fresh and delicious the food was here. The location is right by Starbucks and is a little difficult to see if you are coming from the West. I did a call ahead order and stopped to pick it up on my lunch. Everything was ready on time and the key was FRESH. They have a fresh take on the menu items and they say they use organic ingrediants. The price point is run of the mill Mediterranean, but I was able to get two meals out of my small fattoush and chicken schwarma(huge!). The location is rather small, but has a good vibe. There were people waiting for their orders when I walked in to pick mine up so I have a feeling they do a lot of to go business. I look forward to trying more of their menu and seeing if it’s all as delicious as the two items I have already tired. It is totally worth a stop!

I love this place for 3 reasons. 1-chicken shawarma is delicious. The pita tastes fresh and fluffy, and the slaw is an added bonus. Just delicious. 2-an often overlooked item is the French fry. The are very good here, and are served with Cajun style spice. 3-falafel balls with dipping sauce. Very good. However, I can usually only eat a few after eating the generous portions of shawarma and fries. If you are in Ypsilanti and craving good middle eastern food, then go here.

I’m going 4 stars, and that’s solely based on 1 thing– SHALAFEL. Shwarma and falafel– together at last(I didn’t even know they needed to be combined). AMBIANCE– this is an order and sit down kind of place. On the border of being fast food, nothing too fancy about this place. I gotta say this place was FREEZING when we walked in… they eventually turned the heat on as more customers came, but c’mon! SERVICE– shortly after we walked in, the person working behind the counter gave a falafel ball to everyone in my family. I think they figured we had never been there(and we hadn’t), and I gotta say that was a nice touch in getting us introduced to their food. The guy was helpful with navigating the menu and making recommendations. After we ordered, he told us he would make sure it was delicious, and boy was it(more on that later). Took a little longer than I would’ve liked considering we were 1 of 2 parties in the place, but worth the wait. MENU– An abbreviated middle eastern menu, mostly sandwiches, and a few entrée plates(shwarma, kabob, etc…). They also have numerous combos you can do(soup and sandwich, soup sandwich and app, etc., you get the idea). The prices are pretty reasonable, and their combos make sure you get a deal on whatever you are craving. FOOD– the Mrs. and I were pretty much set on sandwiches, and as we looked over the menu, SHALAFEL just stuck out. As I mentioned before, a combination of shwarma(beef or chicken) and falafel wrapped in a pita with a sauce somewhat like tahini, but not exactly. Having sampled the falafel already, we figured we’d try them with the Shwarma. We both got the chicken shalafel and they were pretty damn good. Good enough to compete with Dearborn(yeah I said it). OVERALL– not the easiest place to get to, but certainly worth it. I even considered ordering a shalafel to go. If you’re looking for a middle eastern fix in A2, this will certainly do it! CELEBRITYRATING– Chris Evans

I think Haifa Falafel and Jerusalem Garden are tied for my favorite falafel in the Ypsi/Ann Arbor area, though I understand they are different styles, so they’re hard to compare. Ask for the Mega Falafel for a great deal. I don’t think it’s on the menu. It’s like $ 10 for a HUGE sandwich with something like dozen falafel balls and heaps of fresh veggies. My boyfriend and I haven’t been able to finish it in one sitting. It’s AMAZING.

Best falafel in Ann Arbor. Good reheated in toaster oven too. Chicken sharma and lentil soup is great. Meat grape leaves and fattoush salad was too sour. I would return and would recommend the things that I liked there.

Well, I came here because of the photos I’ve seen and the reviews. I thought it would just be a «meh» kind of place. One of those types that are decent in the moment but you won’t be sitting at work thinking about trying to deter your route home just to pick up some food to go. Yeah I was wrong. As soon as the shawarma plate with majadra came out I knew that we were going to be good friends. It was a huge mountain, which is awesome because you can have leftovers for lunch the next day. The shawarma can vary sometimes between somewhat dry and being absolutely amazing. I would say that would normally be a «I’m never coming back» moment, but it just tastes so effing good. This is why I gave them a 4 and not a 5. They give you so many sauce choices. This is the only place that I’ve been to where you can have over 8 different sauces. I like the dill sauce. It’s like crack. Mix that with the Haifa sauce and you have a spicy delicious new addiction that you will be thinking about through the week. The falafel and the dill sauce is delicious as well. When I first came they gave me a free sample and now I’m hooked. They also have a rewards card so when you come frequently you get rewarded with a free meal. I have tried the shawarma sandwich and homemade fries which were good but now my goto is the plate with majadra and a salad… And let’s not lie, I still get the fries. Stop in! Get a plate. Drench it in sauces of your choosing and enjoy! This is not a fancy dining establishment. It’s a fast sit down type.

Excellent service, good food. Good price. In an area without Jerusalem Garden(Ann Arbor), it would be 4 stars.
