I have only tried the nano Asian fried rice and I loved it ! Most of the Thai places, I feel, serve u cheaper quality rice n veggies. Thus I make a note to remember such rare good ones.

I still love Nano. I’ve tried multiple different rolls and food items since my last review. I still order my same old rolls but recently I’ve been loving the Stop Drop and Roll: it’s shrimp tempura, cucumber, imitation crab, and spicy avocado. It’s one of my favorite rolls to share. Also, I’ve recently fallen in love with the avocado salad. Now I will never come to Nano without ordering that salad. I’ve always loved this place and I always will. It’s my go-to place for sushi and a good time with friends in Downtown Annapolis.

When eating at sushi establishments you get used to the seeing the same thing everywhere you go. Same miso soup, same ginger dressing on a salad, and so on. This restaurant had your standard sushi cuisine but it takes it up just a notch. What sets this place apart from others I’ve experienced is the noticeable freshness of the igredients. The ginger dressing is more of a vinaigrette then chunky drsssing, the miso soup tofu is chunkier and seaweed more pronounced and the Wasabi seemed spicier. I stick with classic rolls wherever I go and the tuna in my roll was soft and tender, the rolls I had didn’t fall apart when I picked them and the overall attention to small details pleased me. This is a good place to go to.

Pad Thai very good lunch special is good value lots of food almost too much. The California rolls are also good here along with the spicy tuna rolls. Fast and polite service. Still trying different items on menu. So far a great lunch spot.

This spot is by far my favorite sushi place in Annapolis! We originally decided to go to Joss but left after we just weren’t feeling the vibe there. Solid move. I’ve eaten at both spots in the past but Nano’s always seems to win me over. From the minute we walked into Nano the vibe was better. We were seated at a nice booth and we wasted no time in ordered some edamame and a couple of Kirin Lights. The edamame here is very good. Light and not bombarded with too much salt. For dinner we ordered six rolls to share between the two of us. The rolls were ready within minutes it seemed. The sushi chef even threw in an extra roll on the house for us to try. My personal favorites are the Dynamite roll and the Volcano roll but I think you’d be hard pressed to find a bad roll here. The staff here is awesome! Very authentic, attentive, friendly and very quick with service. The restaurant overall is clean but the men’s room could use some more room. Maybe move the giant shop vac stored there lol Either way this is an awesome spot for sushi and I highly recommend trying them.

3.5 stars Valentine’s Day Dinner. We sat in the back of the dining room — shoes off. I had the Spicy Fish Salad which was better than average but a little on the small side for $ 11. Chicken Lettuce Wraps were good and a decent sized portion for $ 10. The Shrimp Tempura roll was $ 8 and was very good as well. The Volcano Chicken $ 13 was a Kung Pao wanna-be that actually turned out to be quite good. The service was okay and the atmosphere about average as well. I would come back and give it another try.

What a great way to spend New Year’s Eve. Eating sushi with Dylan Alana Ben and the parents. The kids are so great together. We were able to get right in. The food was great and the atmosphere is very authentic Getting ready to watch the fire works and ring in the new year. The only thing missing is miss Angie who is in florida helping the parents.

Such a horrible experience here! Servers are not attentive. Didn’t refill water or tea. Chirasi cost $ 20 with no salad or soup. They even charged us 20% tips on a party of 5. I should have questioned the servers, does their service worth 20% of tips!!! I suggest go to Tsunami or Sakura.

Food was just OK. Some entrees were good, others bland and soggy. Overpriced for what it is. Mostly bench seating with no backs=uncomfortable. I wanted to give 3 stars but for the cleanliness issue. «Kitchen» was scary. Wouldn’t go back.

A huge favorite of mine while I was a mid. The basil chicken, Singapore street noodles, and Valentine roll are all favorites. The owners are from Taiwan, and are very friendly and seemingly always there. Local delivery is also available. Give Nano’s a try!

Dirty and not so good anymore. Used to love to eat here but never again. Food was good not great. Got up to us bathroom after we ate and was disgusted. Was so dirty. The floor and kitchen area was disgusting that I could see. Made me feel sick the rest of the day. Ugh.

I’ve been coming here for ages, and I’m a massive fan of the Crazy Mango roll– I literally COME here just to order this when I can. It’s shrimp tempura and mango, and just a terrifically surprising combination!

I ordered the kama kazi roll and it did not taste fresh. Also, my wasabi appeared to be old, not soft with some brownish color to it. The only reason I am giving it one star is because of the«all shrimp tempura» appetizer. That was good, however they only give 3 pieces for $ 7. Won’t be coming back.

Recommended by USNA alumnus and it did not disappoint. The food was flavorful not overly spiced. The rolls are a takeoff from usual recipes but are packed with fresh ingredients. Price is reasonable. Cooking is Taiwanese influenced with predominant Japanese dishes.

A wonderful spot for a thoroughly unplanned dinner date that turned out to be one the best sushi/asian inspired meals my fiancé and I have ever enjoyed. We stopped in after two passerby’s recommended the restaurant and the online reviews backed them up. The staff was very friendly and the quiet, relaxing atmosphere was a nice change of pace from the busy weekend crowd outside. My fiancé, a sushi fiend who has known to devour more fish and rice in one sitting than is humanly possible, placed an order for a handful of rolls and sashimi, and I ordered the fried rice with chicken, shrimp, and beef. Now let me take a moment to say that I know my fried rice. As a Jew who was raised with the tradition of Chinese food on Christmas and the dangerous gift of several truly outstanding Chinese food restaurants in my home town, I’ve downed more than my fair share of soy-sauced, veggie sprinkled, meat filled rice dishes. And I can say that, with complete and utter certainty, this was the BEST fried rice I have had in my entire life. The shrimp was fresh and sweet, the chicken was moist and flavorful, and the steak was so buttery and tender that I was genuinely taken aback by how amazingly good it was. Overall a fantastic meal with equally lovely service at a wonderful little restaurant we cannot wait to return to.

The owner and server Monika were really great… very helpful… food was Awesome… We had Mango chicken. sweet and saucy… loved it… spring roll was big and fresh vegetables… Dumplings were fried but not too much… Hot pot was great did not even need the Rice made spicy as we wanted it… Pad Thai… With fat noodles was a new twist for us but it was very delicious… All under $ 60…what a deal in downtown for something we loved… Enjoy…:)

Stopped in for sushi at Nano this weekend and was pretty disappointed. The sushi was not great. The small, simple rolls were OK but the specials were very overpriced and not very good. There are a couple other sushi options in downtown Annapolis. I’d suggest checking those out first…

Always quality, delicious sushi, made well. They have a stop drop and roll sushi that is yummy if you’re ever in the mood for something spicy and fattening. The sashimi is great, they don’t over charge for it, even though sushi bars themselves tend to be pricey. They also have a diverse menu from the kitchen, but I have yet to try it. I like the ambience. You can sit at a bar, table, or traditional-feeling booth of sorts, or they even have floor seating in a back room for the real experience. Really cool art work too! Service could be a little more attentive though.

I had finished my meal here and was waiting for my milkshake at Annapolis Ice Cream Shop when I saw the owner of Nano tapping on the glass and holding my car keys and water bottle in his hand. He had spotted my friend on the phone outside and ran my items down the street for me. How nice. The owner definitely gets five stars. He also greeted us entering and leaving the restaurant. The atmosphere gets 2 stars. Nice seating but didn’t feel overly clean. It smelled like a bar with old beer that needed to get mopped up. Most sushi places are impeccably clean. The service gets 3 stars. On par with other sushi places. The food gets 2 stars. People should be blown away by flavor in specialty rolls, for better or worse depending on their particular taste. I thought all our rolls tasted bland. I might as well have ordered all California rolls because they tasted similar if not better than our Spider and Superman rolls. The soy sauce and wasabi provided the most complex flavors in our meal — to give you an idea. Sushi should be refreshingly fresh. This was not so here. Overall, I give it three stars. I might try it again if you twisted my arm and bought me an ice cream cone after. I’m not disposed to paying $ 13.00 for a Spider Roll that doesn’t taste much better than the $ 5 California Rolls. If you come here keep it simple, get some Miso Soup and some basic rolls.
