Went there at 7pm or so. I was craving asian food and boy this place did not disapooint me! I ordered chicken ramen medium spicy. It was amazingly good! Egg was prepared perfectly, easy over, so was each and every ingridient you could taste! I did not recognize some of the appertizers that were brought to me in tiny plates, but it was amazing! I am writing this with this incredibly satisfied stomach feeling that I get only once in a few weeks when I happen to taste something new and incredible. P. S. side note about spicyness: there’s this thing about spicy that I have to warn my fellows sensitive european tongues and mouths. … I was crying and snoozing and coughing and crying again but I couldn’t stop eating this delicious ramen even though it was obviously too spicy to me. I probably wasted dosen napkins trying to get rid of two steams that were coming from my eyes and nose. The thing to understand here is that I haven’t been eating anything spicy in asian restaurants for years. Usually I was eating non spicy. Panda express/chipotle doesn’t count here. I am perfectly capable of devouring anything spicy at panda express or anything in any fast food chains. But when it comes to real authentic asian food«little spicy» actually means very spicy. medium spicy actually mean scary and horrifying spicy for european mouth. And very spicy. well I haven’t tryed it even in Thailand, I was too scared, but I have to imagine it may involve dragon summon and maybe hospitalization.

This is a great kbbq restaurant in Antioch, probably one of the only ones around the area. Very clean inside but I think the AC or something wasn’t working that well because it was pretty warm when I came inside during lunch time. First time I came here I was confused about how to order, so I guess if you get a combo it doesn’t come with the Korean side dishes so basically I ordered kalbi and bugolgi and rice in a bowl and when I noticed that I ordered incorrectly they were already getting ready to close so I didn’t want bother with it. When I came back again I ordered the lunch portion of the kalbi and it came with side dishes and rice, so just be aware to order off the lunch/dinner menu, not the combo one if you want everything. Their side dishes were good! The owner also offered us more japchae(glass noodles) since my parents and I finished it so quickly. Kbbq can be very pricey especially at dinner time the price increases so just to note that!

Even the 1star is too good to here. Really really bad. i’m korean so i know really well about the korean food but here food taste was even the elementary kids cook will better than here. I order kimchi stew. You know the korean can judge the restaurant with only this food. Because the kinchi stew is too basic food in korea even really small kids can make it. But here food was honestly nasty. And also kimchi pancake lol half was tanned.

It’s always a good time when I stop by here. I get the combination BBQ with Beef, Pork, and Chicken. It’s awesome that there are free appetizer that the refill when you finish. The Kimchi is great here, so I might be trying there Kimchi Burrito. This place pretty authentic to me, but that’s just my opinion. You should go see for yourself, I’ll definitely be back.

When I came in the place was empty so I was afraid of how the experience was going to be but I was pleased to find that the food was pretty good the portions are small you might need to order extra rice but all in all good food

The problem with the area near Black Diamond Mines is that there are a lot of fast food places. Compared to the amount of sit down quality restaurants, the fast food stations outnumber them 5 – 1.l My family and I weren’t looking for any American or European type of place to eat at. We wanted something Asian. We wanted to avoid eating at Panda Express at all cost. Parking is super easy here. There’s a big lot, and of course, you can use the other lots that surround it if needed. There’s also some street parking. They got a drive-thru! Bathrooms are in the back. There was only a woman being our server. She was sweet. She had this wonderful smile on her face and she looked so pleased when she saw that we liked the meal. We ordered the Fried Salmon lunch special and the BBQ Short Ribs lunch special. They came with a bunch of little side dishes like kimchi, flavored potatoes, noodles, rice, etc. Everything was so good. Everything was freshly made. The rice wasn’t wet nor was it dry. The potatoes’ flavor was good. The noodles were great. What impressed us was the salmon. ITWASSOGOODTHATWEORDEREDANOTHERONE. One thing is we wished they gave us more of the ribs and brought both of our sides at once instead of just bringing one order of sides to the table after another. The ribs tasted great though! We just wished they served more ribs than what was offered. Overall, we had a great meal and we definitely will be coming back!

Great Korean food. We love the bulgogi and tofu soup. Glad we don’t have to drive to Concord for Korean food. Great service, too. Keep it up!

First time here, we got here at opening so the service was a little slow. Our normal experience with Korean is usually a sit-down style restaurant, this felt more fast-foodie. I think it was an old Taco Bell. For what it was it was surprisingly very good. The sides were very good. They kept asking if we wanted refills on them. Service was ok, but the food and the informality of it was cool. Some place to go for that quick Korean taste. Oh and they have a Drive-Thru!

Updated review… So this was my go to place for Korean when at work but no longer. Not sure what happened… They did nice upgrades to the place and added a lot to the menu but the prices increased more than the value and the quality and portions have gone down. The bbq special specifixally comes covered in a terriyaki sauce rather than the classic bulgogi flavor. And they charge an extra dollar to make each meat spicy… For the combo you only get one spicy for the additional charge. Looks like ill have to head to Concord area from now on. Bummed. Its not horrible but no longer worth it for me.

I was there with a group of four last night(Saturday). It’s a fun vibe with other large groups of people. The servers were very sweet and kept the food coming, safe to say we stuff our faces and took advantage of the all you can eat. We sat and ate for quite a while and didn’t ever feel like they were rushing us out. The meat was ok, I feel like it’s been better at other Korean bbq places. My favorite dishes were the vegetable pancakes and the egg dish. The white rice was seriously the stickiest yummiest rice ever. We drank lots of Saparro and soju and had a great time. I’m sure it’s one of the better restaurants in San Jose. I would recommend it!

Not a bad Korean place in the middle of nowhere… lunch menu is until 5PM ! seriously lol I mean that’s great! This restaurant won’t compare to the Korean places in SFO, Oakland or Berkeley, but I mean how many Korean rest. are in Pittsburg, Antioch or Brentwood? when we don’t feel like driving long distance, this is probably a great alternative Korean restaurant that’s convenient, close-by and not bad food …

Went during my lunch hour & ordered a rice place through their drive-thru. Service is friendly & fast. Bulgogi wasn’t freshly made, but had good flavor. I probably wouldn’t order it again unless I asked if they can cook it fresh. Their jap chae was decent & yummy. The potstickers were OK. I’d recommend this place because I’m all about supporting mom & pop joints. I’d come back for their jap chae(; if I’m really craving it bc Korean food is so rare in Antioch!

At at Bob Sang yesterday and I think it’s very good. I’ve known about this rare Korean restaurant in Antioch for some time but for whatever reason haven’t bothered to eat there until now. I should have stopped by earlier. It’s not much to look at from the outside or inside. It’s located in an old fast food restaurant right next to KFC to the south of Lowes off Auto Mall Parkway. Their sign is visible from Hwy 4 when you take the off-ramp going west but getting there is not intuitive; check your GPS. The interior eating area is clean but dated and seems a bit small. I understand from prior reviews that it was previously self service. Table service is provided now and I prefer it. However, there is only one waitress and, when it gets crowded as it did when we left, service can be slow. However, the waitress(an older Korean woman) was nothing but courteous and polite. She even asked US if we wanted more banchan! That was extraordinary because normally I have to ask the waitress for banchan refills. The menu is Americanized in the sense that there are no familiar Korean food names printed in it but the food is not. Had to ask the waitress if they had bi bim bap and she immediately pointed it out in the menu but I would have had no clue otherwise. Same for the kalbi that I ordered for my GF. Not a complaint but if your use to looking for your common Korean food dishes, you may have a problem finding them in the menu. You’ll need to just figure it out or ask the waitress to point out what you’re looking for as she did for us. As for the food, it was authentic. The kalbi was very good but the portion size seemed a bit small for the price. The bi bim bap was also on the smaller size BUT it came on in a literally sizzling hot stone bowl and smelled and tasted just right. My GF loved the crusty rice bottom — forget what you call it – but I’ve never acquired a liking for it. I thought I got a better value w/the bi bim bap but banchan selection made up for it. The selection was small but tasty and, as I said, we were offered refills w/o asking. 2 large bottles of Sapporo beer on top of that and I was very happy. Total cost was $ 50 including tip. So, eating there is not cheap if you don’t pay attention to what you are ordering BUT the meal was WAY better than I ever got at Hahn’s Hibachi and as good as the better Korean restaurant’s that I’ve eat at in the City. The only thing I missed was the in the table grill and hoods overhead. So, if you’re in the far East Bay and have the urge to eat Korean, look for Bob Sang’s in Antioch. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

I have to start by saying i love this place, and I’m trying my best to support my local peeps but tonight is absolutely horrible. Jampong thats basically all soup and veggies, some seafood. I ate all the side dishes and the 3 mouthfulls of noodle and now leaving hungry. This place is very good, they just need to work on portions. Next time i guess ill go oakland koryo

I’m really glad that we have a Korean BBQ close to where we live! It’s like a little gem tucked in a corner in old Antioch/Pittsburg. Definitely convenient if I don’t want to drive out further to an All-You-Can-Eat. The boyfriend and I came in to try it for the first time, and I have to say it was a great first time experience. Although it looks a little old and beat up on the outside, it definitely has a decent interior. The chairs and tables are sturdy, appealing, and a fairly good size. Everything is spaced out decently so it doesn’t have any crowded feel to it. My boyfriend ordered the steaming BBQ Beef plate the first time. It was moist, and had a pepper-like spiced kick to it. My favorite type of BBQ, Kalbi short ribs, were amazing. I’ve been looking for a place close to home that serves it, and I finally found my go-to place! The marinade was very juicy and flavorful and the meat itself was very tender and moist as well.

I went here with my boyfriend. It was realllyyy good! I want to go back and try just the BBQ chicken with rice alone! My boyfriend had the BBQ pork which I liked even more than the chicken but both were pretty delicious. I didn’t like the sides that much because food like that isn’t my thing really… it was different. The noodles were good. I found it cool that the sides came in a bento box and the BBQ came on a sizzling slab thing… I’m not really a fan of that because fat and juices pop off everywhere but the food is good. Can’t wait to come back. :)

I’m going to give this four stars for the first korean joint in Pittsburg/Antioch area. This is not your typical restaurant, where you sit down and get waited on. You come in and order at the counter. They will ask you whether it’s Togo or for here. I ordered Togo because I was delivering it to my bf’s work place. I order the marinated Korean short ribs, japchae, and seafood tofu soup. My boyfriend said the short ribs were tasteful. 11.95 for a plate with 8 ribs, rice, and 4 side dishes. Japchae for 8.95. And seafood tofu soup for 9.95. The soup was delicious but I wished they could have made it extra extra spicy. Other wise, I would have loved it! Service was good. The lady behind the counter was super nice. I will definitely come back! No more driving to concord!
