Texas Roadhouse

The wife and i went last week (for lunch) and the hostess was rude, she sat a party of 2 before she ever greeted us. The party of two that the hostess sat before us came in after us. My wife spoke up about it to the hostess and we were eventually at at a table. My chicken breast was good as usual, however my wife complained her burger was extra salty.
Then tonight we attempt to place a to go order. The phone was busy each time we called which is understandable being today’s date. Although when we did get a employee on the phone, she placed us on hold for 15 minutes. Therefore we were never able to order food. The employee didn’t give us a chance to get food from here, after hanging up we tried calling again but unsuccessfully couldn’t get anyone to answer. We drove past the restaurant (on our way to another restaurant) and it wasn’t too busy. Parking spots were available, we have a one year old and it was snowing is the reason we wanted a to go order in the first place. We have been to many texas roadhouse across the United states and this is the worst service we have received.

My porterhouse steak was great. The Spotted Cow was cold. That’s pretty much all you need.

We regularly visit Texas Roadhouse, usually on Friday/​Saturday night. We were there on Sunday morning. We arrived before the place was busy and were seated right away. Once seated our waitress never came. We had to flag down someone to find her to come and take our drink and food order. Once she took our order, again, we waited and waited and waited and had to again flag someone down to see what happened to our drinks. Then we had someone come to our table 3 different times with salads, when only one person in our party ordered a salad. When our food finally arrived, by now the place had filled up, 2 of our steaks were rare, very rare and we ordered them medium. Again, she never came back to check after the food came so we had to flag someone down to address the steak issue. They took it back and put it back on the grill. She said she heard us say medium-​rare. We sat with empty drinks. She did come around to drop the check. The table behind us had to flag someone down to find her as well and we were sitting right at the end of the bar area. So frustrating to say the least. We will definitely be scratching this off the list of places to consider when eating out. Service should not have to be so terrible.

I have been here numerous times and it’s always been pretty excellent! You can’t go wrong here the food service atmosphere and prices are great. I’m not a chain restaurant fan but this one gets

Very good BBQ for a chain. The chicken is tasty through and through. Mashed potatoes are buttery and rich. Portions are average and the price is average to slightly above.

Worst Restaurant Experience EVER!
1. Sat us at an un-​bussed table.
2. Steak ordered medium. Came out super bloody. Waiter, Dillon, argued with us on how that’s what medium is.
3. Oven roasted chicken was gross. Very pink & lacking meat.
4. Refired steak returned with out the onions/​mushrooms ordered.
5. Wrong sides brought out.
6. Overheard bus staff grumbling how they had to go bus another table.
7. Drink never got refilled.
8. Cook returned with our steak. Set it down and didn’t say a word. Just walked away.
Apathetic vibe from all staff. Normally enjoy Texas Roadhouse but this specific location didn’t come close to corporate standards.

Excellent food, great staff, my server Haley was stellar, she kept up on the drinks, and made sure I was taken care of. The food was excellent, I ordered the BBQ chicken and steak combo with a loaded baked potato and green beans, the steak was cooked to my specs. I will visit again next time I’m in Appleton.

Had to go back to the Roadhouse. Steak fabulous, chilli magnificent, Service great now I’m fat full and happy.

Pro: good food. Great customer services. My husband ordered t bone steak. Came out way too cooked and they fixed it right away with a manager. Thanks for our first time visit here. Would come here again when we have the crave for steaks.
Con: none. Not this time for our first time here.

This place was AMAZING. Bread with cinnamon butter to start along with peanuts. (Both complimentary). I had the ribeye and it was the best steak I have ever had. Perfectly seasoned and prepared just the way I like it. My husband had the prime rib and My daughter had the breaded sirloin. Those were delicious too. You have your choice of 2 sides. I picked a house salad (it had everything including hard boiled egg pieces!) and chili. Both were so good. Our server, Laura, was top notch and did a wonderful job. I highly recommend this place.

This place is alway good! They have bread with cinnamon better, I had a chicken salad and fresh and raspberry ice tea and my mom had meat, chili and raspberry ice tea. I recommend this place!!! Thank you john our waiter!!! Also had fried pickles!!!

As we walked in, the couple hostesses that were in the front were not very welcoming at all. We got no smiles from the girls and even got some judging looks for whatever reason. A young man greeted us and was very nice. Our server was great except she made a lot of little mistakes regarding our drinks and meals. Despite the mistakes, our food and drinks were great.

Always had good food but had problems the last two times I went there. First instance, never got my appatizer. Had to ask for it and then it was brought out after I was done eating.
2^nd instance, the over-​done steak… twice. Haven’t had problems before, but I even sent it back and it looked exactly the same.

We had a disappointing overall experience.
The server was extremely rude to my in-​laws who have a slight foreign accent. She was impatient with us from the beginning although none of us were familiar with the menu and had children with us as well. When my husband asked what sort of appetizers they offered she replied with, «if you just open your menu and do a little reading you can see for yourself.»
We ordered drinks and he asked for half iced tea, half lemonade. She brought him water. When he asked her later if she was still coming with the drink he ordered she got all animated and said, «oh yeah! I totally meant to bring you water because I don’t speak English.»
By this point I had enough of her rude behavior and asked to speak with the manager regarding getting a different server. He apologized and sent a different woman. From there on out the service was fine but the steaks were nothing exceptional.
It seems the only thing that sets them apart from any other chain is the cinnamon butter for the rolls which is hardly enough to bring me back after such an unsatisfactory experience.

First time and everything was great I had the chilly and ribs loved it p. s need to get cole slaw

Great atmosphere, even though they were really busy, we got seated pretty fast, all the servers and the people that sat us were super friendly and fun, couple of girls at the front desk not so much, the steak was done perfectly, the ribs lacked a little taste maybe needed some salt?! Other than that for the price you can’t rally bet this place

Visiting from out of town and this was the nicest location I’ve ever been to!
We were on business so we needed the drinks separate from the food and they had no problem with it.
I had a cheeseburger and I was so tasty and cooked to perfection– I finished it and I’m usually never able to!
My boyfriend had the mushroom chicken sandwich and he loved it.

Can’t beat Texas Roadhouse for the money. My wife and I enjoy the $ 9.99 tenderloin special — comes with two side (Love their salad)!
Never had a bad meal here and the service is phenomenal!

Another Phenominal Meal at Texas Roadhouse!
God, how I love this place from the moment I enter the door.
Because. as much as I love Rock and Roll I’m still a little bit country
and Texas Roadhouse is all about country!
The Interior of the bar/​restaurant is definitely country themed from
the peanuts on the floor to the most beautiful wooden bar and comfortable
booths. and of course the country music playing in the background!
The greatest hot rolls and this tremendous cinnamon butter is brought to
your table to start things off and it just goes uphill from there.
Whether you order their famous ribs or steak or grilled shrimp or chicken
you will come out on the winning end because this place does everything pretty
much perfect!
I love coming to Appleton to see my Granddaughter Carissa as I did today
but. it also gives me a chance to have dinner at Texas Roadhouse.
If there was one in the city I would be there quite often but unfortunately
all of their locations are suburban or up in Wisconsin.
And. Texas Roadhouse in Appleton has some of the nicest people
working there as well.
So. I hope to see my Granddaughter Carissa soon again for I will be
visiting Texas Roadhouse.

I know this place is called Texas Roadhouse, so I should have had low expectations for the vegetarian menu. I did, really. But I didn’t realize how very limited it would be! Even though I was famished, I ended up getting just a few rolls, which I ate with the really delicious cinnamon butter.
My dining companions were fine with their food. I just would not recommend this place to a vegetarian AT ALL. I left starving. So, three stars is my experience. The ambiance is kind of kitschy and fun and the cinnamon butter really was good, even if it’s all I could eat there.
