I was initially excited to come to the store because I called ahead of time and they were very friendly and had what I was looking for. Unfortunately that was the best of it. I entered the store there was no greeting. There was a sales person engaged in a conversation with another customer and refused to make eye contact with me. When I found the item that I called about I asked another salesperson where I could try it on. She told me «the dressing room.» She then went back to folding shirts. I asked her where the dressing was she pointed across the store and told me down the hall. Do not expect any personalization or shopping help here.

This J. Crew store is the bee’s knees! I love J. Crew’s offerings, but I’m a devotee of trying things on before purchasing – unless I know the product extremely well. I never mind stopping in to browse and try-on at this location though! The store manager is so friendly and we’ve gotten to know one another very well! She’s spent time helping me pick out outfits for myself and my husband and it’s always a great way to spend some time(and for better or worse, some money too.) When selecting some fun dresses for a trip across the pond, she offered honest advice and helped me pick the most reasonable options that are staples in my wardrobe. Another bonus? She throws me the student ID discount on full-price items as well. The Ardmore store definitely has the best selection in everything – clothing, accessories, shoes – but the other stores all treat me with great care and respect. At Willow Grove, Max C. is a great personal shopper. He’ll pull any and everything for you to try, find the perfect size and offer honest critique. Similarly, I’ve had excellent service at the Center City location in my mom’s office building. On numerous occasions, they’ve helped pull pieces for me, shipped them to my door for free, and been at my beck and call for any thing that might arise. J.Crew is a fabulous option for staples and on-trend pieces alike.
