I had a great experience here at this location. While this is the first Bonefish Grill I’m reviewing, it’s definitely not the first location I’ve been to. One thing I can say for certain is that although I’ve been to plenty locations(in various states, I might add), both the service and ambiance remains consistently stellar(and I hope I can say the same for future locations). Our server tonight was Emily J and she was great. We asked her various questions and she answered them with ease. One thing I especially appreciated was that when I was about to order the Mac N Cheese as a side dish, she indicated to me that there were chunks of mushrooms in it. What do you know? I hate mushroom! Now for food recommendations — For appetizer, you can’t go wrong with Bang Bang Shrimp or the Bang Bang Tacos. The Bang Bang Shrimp is basically the exact same thing as Bang Bang Tacos, just without a warm tortilla shell. The taco comes in a set of 3, so it’s also very shareable even though it can be ordered as an entrée. I ordered the special that night — the Oscar Mahi Mahi. The mahi mahi is wood-grilled, and topped with lump crab, asparagus, and lemon butter sauce. Because it’s wood-grilled, it’s super devoid of unwelcomed oils and seasonings. One can say it’s slightly bland, but one thing I will give credit to Bonefish Grill is that the dish didn’t taste ‘fishy’(if you get what I mean!). Honestly, to add more flavor, just a pinch of salt will do. My boyfriend ordered the Rib-Eye Steak, which is just 13oz of USDA rib-eye. The rib-eye was also only slightly seasoned, so anyone can customize the flavor with there choice of salt and/or pepper(on the other hand, some people may say that this makes the steak«bland»). Nevertheless, the steak is otherwise very juicy and tender. For the appetizer, I’d skip on the Jasmine rice(unless you like bitter rice). The fried rice was delicious though! I also recommend the steamed broccoli and the asparagus. Overall very romantic atmosphere; great for a romantic evening or informal business dinner.

I had never heard of Bonefish Grill and was surprised to find out it was a chain. Our server was very attentive and asked if it was our first time and gave us pointers and recommendations. We had Wagyu Beef and Ginger Potstickers as an appetizer and they were wonderful! I had the scallops and shrimp. I can’t resist scallops. They were cooked to perfection and I loved the fact that there were so many sauces to pick from and you can choose as many as you’d like. I’m super in-to dipping :). Roger had their steak prepared medium rare and shrimp. My mouth is watering just writing about it. The steak was perfect and there wasn’t a morsel of food to box up to take home. We totally enjoyed it and will be looking out for these places when we are in their neck of the woods.

We love Bonefish. It’s always good! The tea was fresh!!! Hubby gets sweet… i get unsweetened. My husband got the Ahi Tuna bowl tonight. It had lots of mix and match items to make every bite delicious. The Tuna was perfectly seared with black sesame seeds, he especially liked the avocado half and passion fruit salsa. The jasmine rice and crunchy fried noodles made for a great texture. It also came with a sweet and sour style sauce. We of course enjoyed the bread that comes with your meal. They make wonderful pesto here and serve it with olive oil for dipping. I had the Lily’s chicken. It’s a grilled breast topped with wilted spinach, goat cheese and artichoke hearts topped with a lemon basil sauce. I chose the steamed green beans as my side and it came with a seasonal veg which was spaghetti squash. We ended our meal with a very delicious pumpkin flavored crème brûlée. Always a favorite… Consistently amazing!!!

I don’t want to embellish how good this chain restaurant pulls it off in a foodie town but, this joint is delicious. Yeah, it’s near Target, and Wal Mart, and Dick’s. but maybe that’s the point? Didn’t Ronald MacDonald teach us that? I really liked the bang bang shrimp, and salad, and salmon, and service. Really good for a free parking, quality meal, and service option to downtown. p. s. Tuesday night special is spectacularly affordable!

Terrible service at the bar, I generally stay away from chain restaurants, but I had a gift card, was just a little hungry and had some time on my hands. I ordered tuna tatami and was overcooked, normally I would say something, but, the server took 15 minutes before she asked me about my food, mind you, there are 4 people at the bar, and restaurant is moderately busy. She did manage to get all her glasses washed, and then disappeared, probably for a smoke, I waited quite a while, never got my plate picked up(with half the overcooked tuna still on it never mind an offer for a refill, or my check, finally I slapped some cash on the bar, did not even get to use my gift card! grrrrr!

I’d give it 5 stars but the fact that is a chain makes me too snobbish. Everything we had was excellent, starting with the warm crusty bread and pesto oil dip. The lobster Flatbread had a smidge of heat but you could still taste the lobster flavor. The lamp chops were amazing, tender-est I’ve ever had INMYLIFE(including Curate and other super high end restaurants) yet caramelized on the outside. Also had the Chilean Sea Bass special with Miso sake Asian glaze, amazing. The rice was even perfect with a little crisp on the bottom. Also had the scallops and shrimp with the lime tomato sauce, also memorable. Check their website for a coupon, I wish I’d thought of that. I will the next time I go back, which I certainly will. Service was also excellent, the wait staff on point and a visit from the manager. Ok, to heck with it, 5 stars.

Love Bonefish. One of our favorites places to eat in Asheville or any city. The bang bang shrimp, ahi tuna, and mussels are our usual. The pomegranate Martina’s are the best. Very nice atmosphere, décor, and lighting. You won’t be disappointed eating at Bonefish.

Five us had dinner and the food was ok(the descriptions on the menu were significantly better than the food). Four of the 5 of us received the wrong side dishes or had missing items. It took so long to get everything right, that the initial serving of food was cold(cold grouper – ick). The manager came to the table but was relatively unconcerned. The server kept blaming the kitchen for the incorrect orders but when he brought us someone else’s check, it made us wonder. We’ve eaten at other Bonefish Grills and did not have problems. This was such an unpleasant experience and there are so many wonderful restaurants in Asheville, we don’t recommend going to this one.

Crapping restaurant week… didn’t know, so all the reservations were booked. Luckily we founded that this location had a reservation in 45 min. We set it not expecting a great meal… boy was I wrong! Our awesome waiter Shawn greeted us with a great attitude and was very informative about the food and gave my wife an honest opinion when she inquired about the food. He continued by being very attentive as well as looking out for us with the bread. He made our dinner an enjoyable experience as well as the food being excellent. Good job to both!

We went to Bonefish for our 36th anniversary. They were having a special on Bang Bang items, so we had a Bang Bang chicken appetizer(not on the menu but recommended by our waitress since my wife couldn’t eat shrimp). Awesome! Then I ordered the Kobe Burger with Bang Bang shrimp on top. OMG!!! The best burger I have ever had, period. Service was outstanding. Then the manager stopped by to congratulate us on our anniversary and gave us a box of chocolate and gift card. Super customer service!!! Highly recommend this place.

Wow. Bonefish is amazing! Best seafood I’ve had in the South, hands down so far. By far, better than Red Lobster. Red Lobster is not that great, anyways.

We really enjoyed the food and service at this location. The service was the best we have had at almost any place we visited. The food was fresh and well prepared but did come out of the kitchen a bit slow.

Dined here for Valentine’s Day dinner with the hubby. I ate the Imperial Wolffish with green beans and garbanzo beans. It tasted great however, if I ordered again I would ask they withhold the cheese. My husband had the Filet Mignon and Crab cake. He loved his! The service was excellent. The manager, Steve, stopped by our table at the end of the meal and was extremely personable and genuinely cared whether we enjoyed our meal! I have never felt so welcomed at a restaurant! We will definitely return!

Dessert carried this one from a 3 to a 4. Three because I wasn’t disappointed, but not really wowed either. It’s about what I would expect for $ 17. A decent piece of rainbow trout with a couple of veggies. That dessert, though… man. Advertised as chocolate crème brûlée, but it was more of a chocolate mousse, as it was very lightly torched. But they can call it whatever they want, and I’ll order it again. It was absolutely delicious. Service was very friendly, although not the quickest.

For a chain, it’s pretty good. It’s ALWAYS packed,(but then again, so is the Applebees on Tunnel, WTH). Bang Bang Shrimp… my favorite app, although I will say the last time I ate there it was a tad off. The Chilean Sea Bass + salsa was great though. Decent service and slightly more upscale atmosphere than most chains.

Bonefish Grill bills themselves as «the fresh fish exepert.» And, after dining there, I’m inclined to agree. The water is fine; c’mon in: Seafood IS fresh. Beautifully prepared and dressed, it’s served with an assortment of sauces and delicious sides(the garlic mashed potatoes are so good, you’ll find yourself hoping to burp later). Bang Bag Shrimp and Beef Dumplings are must-do appetizers. Fish tacos are tangy and savory. Mahi is the freshest and tastiest I’ve ever had. Feel confident ordering off the menu; but for something exceptional, ask about daily specials. Your knowledgable server will have the skinny on all the specials(I had Lobster Thermidor Mahi Mahi with Florida Rock Shrimp; whoa). Enjoy a marvelous meal served by efficient waitstaff in a pleasant environment. Boo-yah!

Pretty good seafood, I guess. My whole extended family gets in an excited uproar about this place, but like others have mentioned, it just screams«chain restaurant» to me. Which I have nothing against. I love chain restaurants sometimes. I just didn’t think Bonefish Grill was out of this world. I got the Chilean Sea Bass with Mango salsa… and so did my two aunts. I wish we had gotten a variety because one of the only reasons I enjoy dining in a group is to share dishes and get a real taste of what the restaurant has to offer. Oh well. Before the entrees came we shared Bang Bang Shrimp for an appetizer which was pretty good. For some reason my cousin’s girlfriend ordered Bang Bang Tacos so she had an apparent abundance of this specialty. The look on her face was a little comedic! Yes, the house salad with hearts of palm and a citrus vinaigrette is punchy and a twist from the traditional ranch-logged iceberg starter salad, but it was lacking something. Salt? I remember they gave a good dip(pesto?) to start and everyone wanted more of that. Wouldn’t go out of my way to return here, but people sure do love this place!
