All of the tea was super fresh and really good. There are some tea places that just make their drinks really sugary and milky, but Dobrá Tea didn’t do that, even with their boba tea. When I was at Ashland for the Shakespeare festival, I couldn’t steer myself away from this place.

On first impression a wonderful establishment you walk through the door and there is a plethora of tea boxes and more. My girl asked a question about oolong tea and the person working in the shop was a smug jerk his response was so condescending it made me want to punch him in the face. Now I’m not that kind of person and certainly didn’t want to do that in front of my girlfriend so I didn’t say anything we left and upon reflection felt like we’d been totally disrespected and talked down to by this smug little prick we felt we needed to Unilocal it and let other people know if you have an inquiry about their selection of tea don’t bother going in the shop because they treat you poorly and make you feel stupid. So in summary I do know some things about tea and I know that oolong is a dark green tea that is commonly mistaken for a black tea. So the moral to the story is the employee or owner I don’t know which or do I care but if it isn’t the owner I would fire him as an owner if you want to stay in business. If it is the owner he she should be stricken by the black curse of economic disaster and fall into bankruptcy, his her blatant disrespect for my sweetness asking a question is deserving of an ass-kicking and if I was the owner of this establishment his her ass will be dragging on the street to the unemployment office.

Wow! I really love this place! During our visit to Ashland this past week we stepped into Dobra for some afternoon tea and found everything we could ever ask for in a tea house. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming with cozy and comfortable floor seating(as well as tables), cool lighting and soft, pleasant music playing in the background. As soon as we entered we were immediately greeted by our gracious hostess and server Shivani. She was very kind and took extra special care and attention with us as we perused the extensive tea menu for the first time. It was a very hot day and we told her that we’d prefer something chilled. She recommended the Forest Dream, which was fantastic. We also went with a glass of iced Chai, which was perfectly brewed. It contained hints of original flavorings, making this chai special and different from so many others we’ve tried in the past. Mostly, it was just really nice to be able to sit and relax in a corner and sip our delicious tea after a long car ride to Ashland. Shivani checked in on us to make sure we were happy and content and took great care of us the entire time we were there. It was the perfect entry into Ashland and we’re so grateful for this experience. We will definitely be coming back on our next visit to Ashland. And we look forward to trying other Dobra locations around the county. Thank you for the fantastic tea! And fantastic service! Well done Dobra!

Dobra Tea is fantastic! Very polite staff and a friendly setting with lots of options for Tea. I had a chilled tea with Hummus and Pita and it was wonderful! I am totally going to go here again!

Try the Hotcha– Matcha with your choice of milk/almond milk/soy and you can substitute with honey. I love the matcha, almond milk, honey combination-really perfect on a hot day. It’s good with boba as well.

This place is fantastic. Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff, so comfortable. The tea is always good, and I can usually re-steep the tea 4 – 10 times, it’s like getting that much more for your money! I love meeting friends and clients here, or just sitting and reading a book. So glad it’s in my town.

Loved this place. Perfect for studying or going on a first date. Other than being a little too pricey(but, hey, it’s Ashland), it was a great little spot!

Wow! A 100-page tea menu. I must admit I was a bit overwhelmed. Our visit was delicious and calming. The service was very informative and patient. Would recommend a visit if you need a moment or two away from it all. And be sure to grab a baked item for takeaway.

Very cute little shop. If I could, I would had stayed there for hours, but I had to hit the road. I was confused on where to order at first but an employee quickly helped me when I entered. I decided to get the oolong tea and their most popular drink, the forest dragon. I really liked both teas. I am used to drinking tea from large chain stores, so I was expecting a different taste. Even though it’s a dollar or two more expensive, it’s worth it because they use quality ingredients. Taste the tea and you’ll understand why I’m saying!

I took my mom here for Mother’s Day last year. It is such a cool place! So many different seating areas. The staff was so friendly. They took the time to explain the whole experience as soon as we walked in. I loved how the menu also explained how the tea is grown and harvested. My mom and I had such an amazing experience!

If you’re a tea lover, this is your tea heaven. They have a tea menu bigger than the food menu at most restaurants and the staff is suuuuper nice. I asked the host for some advice on how I could prepare my Turkish tea at home and he gave me a full demo of how they do it in their kitchen. I leave thankful and content. Will come back again hopefully.

The lap sang souchang was super good as was one of their Ceylon teas. The setup is really cool. Gluten free baked goods are available and the herbal chocolate balls are super weird and rich and amazing. That being said, some of the stuff for sale in front was really pricy and not as cool as I expected.(I.e. The flowering green tea ball really didn’t have much pizzaz for the price compared to others I have seen). Still super cool and a must go type of place.

In town visiting from LA, a place I consider relatively expensive. I have never been to a more overpriced café in my life in any place on Earth, including Paris, New York, Tokyo or Hong Kong. Enter Dobra Tea in quaint Ashland, home of the $ 7.25 green tea. I was never told that I would also be charged 1 dollar extra for a tiny cup of soy milk and a smidgen of HONEY?! charged $ 7.25 for tea and then ALSO charge for honey?! Plus tax?! I’m totally incredulous. For $ 9 this better be the most remarkable experience I’ve ever had and it’s nowhere close. It’s like 1 step-up from Coffee Bean or Starbucks. I mean, cafes in Beverly Hills aren’t even close to this expensive. I’m literally stupefied. Combine this with a staff that seems generally uninterested in much of anything and you have a recipe for fail. If the pot of tea with all of the extras was $ 5.50 or $ 6 with tax, this is definitely a 4-star place. At $ 9, I highly recommend staying away. I feel violated.

A unique experience, relaxed atmosphere with very polite staff. This café offers a huge variety of tea from all around the world. I’ve tried the Turkish Rize çay that is a strong flavourful black tea. It is a good option for strong taste lovers for example whiskey drinkers. My husband got a green tea matcha smoothie with bubbles. At the back of the room, they have an elevated seating area where you can lounge without your shoes on. The pillows are very comfortable, the atmosphere is peaceful and quiet. Be careful, you might feel too comfortable and fall asleep!

Dobra Tea embodies Ashland: from the vegan and gluten free edible treats, to the pillow floor seating section, to the large selection teas. It has a vibe of people who love the earth and spirituality, which is one of the reasons I also love Ashland. The menu can be a little overwhelming since it over 100 pages, but once you take a closer look you discover that it is mostly information about the teas: where they are from, the culture behind them and so forth. We ordered an assortment of goodies: shortbread cookies, vegan coconut cupcake, macaroon, scone, hummus plate, etc. For the drinks, we order«Chai, Chai, Chai», and Traditional Hot Chocolate. The service is fetched my ringing a small brass bell at your table, which was fun(although I felt a bit guilty my doing this), my niece thought this was quite fun! If your in Ashland, definitely swing my this place for a warm cup of tea and to have a long conversation with a loved one.

Okay, this place is sweet and cool Looking, but some things are way over priced and just so so. I got an ice tea. Just a black ice tea that was fresh and good, but it was $ 4.00 bucks and my husband had a chai. It was watery tasting and not delicious and rich how we like it. He ordered it with whole milk. We make tea all of the time all different kinds, all different ways and we were not impressed. We also were not a fan of ringing the bell every time we wanted the servers attention. I’m sure that is traditional somewhere, but not for us.

Hmmm… love the concept, and I especially love tea houses. However, I was a bit troubled by their prices and customer service. The man who helped us was very cold and unfriendly. A bit condescending. I’m not sure why. I was ecstatic to see Bubble Tea on their menu– something not easily available around here. It was okay, not bad, but not great. They charge $ 6.50 for a smallish cup(maybe 12 ounces)? I’ve had a lot of Bubble Tea in a lot of different places, and I’ve never seen it so expensive. Wow. I don’t think we’ll be going back.

They have some excellent tea here, don’t get me wrong. Big selection, cute pots and cups for sale, nice environment inside. I went here with my boyfriend. The girl behind the counter didn’t seem to quite understand how their prices worked… We just wanted to get a pot of tea for us to share. But apparently they charge like a few dollars extra just to have another cup, so two people can share. And they obviously frown on you sharing one cup between two people. Um, number one, that’s insane. Are you kidding. Number two, how can you seriously expect someone to drink an entire pot of tea? Me and him both had a hard time finishing it! You’d have to sit there for hours to finish a whole pot alone. The girl didn’t do very well explaining how their one cup, two cup thing worked so we ordered a small(thinking we could still share???) and the guy(who was the owner) brought it out to us on their nice little tray and asked us if we understood their system and we were like, «um well we got a small to share.» and he said the small is for one person, and the large is for two people(even though small and large pots are the same size. you just get ONEEXTRACUP.) and he apologized and said we could just have an extra cup for free, but to just remember for next time. Reasonable request. Don’t know if i will go back there. Call me cheap, but having to pay that much more money for a god damn cup is ridiculous.
