The food is subpar, the as well as the service. Probably the only pleasurable aspect of of this place is the atmosphere of the outdoor seating. The male waiters seem to be the only friendly ones while the females display a rather hostile and unwelcoming ‘vibe’ they also don’t make eye contact at all. Our particular waitress had the AUDACITY to act like me and my main were some«scumbag tourist who probably weren’t gonna tip anyway» the moment she sat us. She really got excited when she had the opportunity to come up to us and show us her teeth over something really minor. Never eating here again.

very trendy, pricey, restaurant… the food was ok but really didn’t get me excited… i expected very clean fresh tasting food w bright flavors and color, what we received was oily and drab… my daughter’s and her roomie had tasty foo-foo drinks… service was pretty marginal and servers seemed pretty indifferent… it was $ 130 for four of us and so i’m not going to recommend this place… i’d rather direct people to taroko up the street where the food is fresh n excellent and the service spot on…

Pad Thai was average. Skimped on chicken. Curries were okay. Lamb chop special was good.

Atmosphere and service were both very pleasant. Pad Thai noodles were overcooked and SATURATED with fish sauce– might have even used shoyu. Had strange chicken meatballs also saturated so couldn’t finish it. This is a beginner dish even for home cooks. My wife’s fried fish with chili sauce had a decent flavor– fish was not really crispy even where the sauce didn’t hit it. Presentation of both dishes were good– but taste not good. Also a bit pricey.

I do like the Thai Pepper and have eaten there when in Ashland for several years. The Tiger Rolls are really delicious, cream cheese and crab flavors, wrapped in a crispy fried wonton exterior. I’m also partial to their sweet chili sauce and the Sweet & Spicy Crispy Fish is another favorite of mine. They use a lightly breaded mild cod with a colorful squash garnish, atop jasmine white rice. Yum! We recently tried their Coconut Ice Cream, which is vegan(!), and it is amazingly creamy and wonderful. Four stars as prices are a little high for portion size, but otherwise lovely food.

Delicious food, great happy hour and excellent service! The satays are delicious, great spring and tiger rolls. The pad noodles on HH menu was not my favorite. Can’t wait to go back. It’s a little spendy but excellent quality.

I just love this place. The customer service is amazing and the food is very exceptional. There is a reason this place has been open for as long as it has. The only reason there is a star left out is because I feel the drinks are a little overpriced.

Picture it: you, sitting with someone you love,(or alone is fine) in a shaded spot under the trees, next to a creek that is gently flowing by, eating great Thai food. The lunch on the deck is our favorite place in town in the summer. It is not always known when they will be open for lunch on the deck so call and ask. The food itself is very good and worth the trip. But lunch on the deck, can’t beat it.

I’ve been here a few times now. The food is delicious. Service is great about half the time. The only issue I have are the weak drinks(for $ 10 each) I get every other time I go. Sometimes I can’t taste any alcohol in my drink at all(I’m a light drinker and usually feel effects from one drink no matter where I am). Maybe they skimp on the alcohol during happy hour? Definitely go for the food and satay bar, though.

Absolutely LOVE Thai Pepper. If you are a fan of lamb, always ask your server what the special is because every time we have gone there we looked forward to their lamb specials which are absolutely phenomenal. The drinks and appetizers are great too!

One of the best happy hours in Ashland. $ 3 beers(the pilsner is to die for) and a cheap happy hour food menu with some good stuff on there. Ivan is our server and he is great. We’re always so pleased with his service. Thai Pepper keep him around or make him your head server! Ivan is the man and makes frequenting here worthwhile. Will be back to explore the menu more.

Disclaimer: I’m not the hugest fan of Thai food. As someone who doesn’t eat meat, I was initially apprehensive. There was exactly one item on the menu, unmodified, that I could have. However, they were very accommodating and transparent about which dishes could be made vegetarian/vegan(and if I remember correctly, gluten-free?) I had the Pan Fried Noodles with Prawns(wheat noodles marinated in soy sauce & sesame oil, pan fried and served with sherry peanut sauce & spinach, $ 19), with tofu substituted for the prawns. Service was a little slow, but unclear if that was because they were trying to serve everyone in my ~20-person group at the same time. My friends all seemed to enjoy their food. The little satay options were popular. Summary: huge, and thus relatively cheap, portions of good, vegetarian/vegan-friendly food.

Decent food. Piss-poor service. Not very accommodating to young children. I like that they have gluten free options. Despite my dietary restrictions I found some food to eat. They use canola oil, which is better than peanut oil, but not my favorite. The calamari was nicely prepared, especially with the rice flour. When we arrived, there was about 10 – 15 people in the restaurant(mostly staff members). We were told about an upcoming rush and told to sit next to the kitchen. When the waitress did get around to checking on us, she kept apologizing about how this about-to-be-rush which was interfering with her ability to serve us NOW, for some reason??? The waitress tried, but seemed unable to help me find something for my young child to eat. He would have been happy with a plain bowl of rice. I was told they didn’t offer that separately… so we got him these noodles he didn’t like. Then we sat there and watched bowl after bowl of rice being served right in front of us, since the rice cooker was on the other side of the counter from my son. My older daughter loved her Pad Thai and it was for birthday, so I didn’t complain to the staff while there. I fed my son when we got home. They gave me the wrong check when I was ready to go. Pretty incompetent service, though they do try. Very personable and friendly, just not professional. The waitress was super knowledgeable about the food they served, and did try the best she could, so I tipped 15%. The tip should have been more like 5%, honestly, but she seemed so upset about this about-to-be-rush I guess I felt sorry for her.

When plans elsewhere fell through, I wanted to try them as a backup plan– ambience, as always, was cozy & vibrant. The waitstaff was prompt, well-versed in the menu as well as the specials & definitely got me hooked on their homemade ginger ale lol, which had a nice kick without being too potent– just what the doctor ordered. The coconut chicken soup was molten, but elegant & delicious! It was naturally super sweet with a little salt aftertaste & the mushrooms floating around with the big chunks of chicken were a pleasant surprise. I certainly wasn’t expecting the random stalk of lemongrass lol but it was certainly a familiar flavor I enjoyed(for a well-earned $ 8). Then there was the satay sampler– which I got with the chicken in peanut sauce, the tofu in sweet soy, & the vegetable medley also in peanut sauce(for $ 10). The chicken was seasoned well, perfectly cooked, as well as the vegetables. The peanut sauce was nice & spicy– & I loved the extra peanut crunch! The tofu had a nice crisp sear without getting too charred– & the sweet soy sauce was almost syrupy on top. I appreciated how everything came with a little cucumber salad & mound of rice. And to finish it all off, I also got their lime ice cream ^_^ It was a wonderful palette cleanser that helped soothe the tongue after the peanut sauce’s heat! Only thing not so nice about it was finding the $ 8 tag after I had placed the order… Ah well, overall, it was a great experience, bringing the grand total– plus tax & tip, to a little over $ 36– not a great price, but well worth it!

Was surprised to check this place’s Unilocal reputation only to find very mixed reviews of the food. I can’t speak about anything on the menu other than the fries, but I just have to mention them because I’m sure that they’re the last thing visitors would be likely to order at a Thai place. Seriously, best fries I’ve ever had in my life. Thick cut with a subtle taste of truffle, served with house made aioli and chili paste. This was two weeks ago and I’m still thinking about ‘em.

Food = horrible Service = amazing Drinks = good Price = $$$$ If it wasn’t because of the amazing service I’d give this place a no stars. The food was really bad and a waste. The wings are beyond salty and no good flavor. My husband ordered chicken red curry and explained how bland it was. I had a bite and couldn’t believe how bad it was. I had the Pad Thai with peanut sauce and prawns. It was really bad too and I have no idea how someone can mess up peanut sauce. Don’t waste your money here. Too pricey and not worth it.
