Fun place! Live music or karaōke and delicious Irish pub food and drinks. Just remember the bar rules — the Bartender is always right! The whiskey cocktails are very good and the shepher’s pie is delicious and filling. Great place to sit back and watch people or meet new friends.

It was our first time trying this place. Sunday for dinner, and the place was relatively busy. Paul was serving the drinks, and gave a decent pour for the wine. The beer was a great selection too. We ordered the cod and chips, halibut, and shepherds pie. We had to order a second round of drinks while we waited for the food, and nearly finished those before the food actually came out. The fish was more or less burnt, and the shepherds pie was terrible. The meat portion was completely dry, and the«garlic mashed potatoes» were undercooked without a hint of garlic. I was about to write the place off, and asked for the check. The bartender then asked if he could get us a shot of Jameson before we left. Immediately I felt better about the place, as it appeared he realized we were underwhelmed and tried to make up for it. The check came, and surprise! Those shots were added to the bill. I left, defeated, lamenting my first truly bad meal in Ashland.

Good selection of beers and whisky. Laid back, pretty distinct interior. The only con was that service was a little slow. The tots were delicious and so was the Vanilla Stout my husband had. The atmosphere is inviting — overall the pub itself is a pretty cool neighborhood joint that knows its identity. Now, the best part about this pub is Ur Mom. It’s a ladies band so named because they are moms(I think they might be yours). Last night they did their own folksy version of Put a Ring On It and it was hilarious. One of the band members has a unique androgynous voice which is pretty rare. They have funny signs out when they sing, like«what would Jesus tip?», and they chose to use the South Park Jesus(so I was told) to represent Him. It’s one of the few places in Ashland open past 9 pm: P!

Wonderful little Irish pub, I came when a band of two were playing Classic Irish drinking songs and they were very friendly and spoke with the crowd. The bartender came to our seat since we couldn’t get to the bar and was very nice and had a great smile. He got our drinks and suggested an excellent drink for my fiancé who’s fairly picky when it comes to beer. He loved what he got! Can’t wait to come back here again.

I’m an Ashland local. I’ve watched this pub change ownership 3 times now. Each owner very different from the last, with very different ideas and expressions, all with the same goal in mind, building a successful business. Being a pub, Im hoping that no one expects the food to be grandiose. This is not larks. I’ve stolen a glimpse of the kitchen, it was very tidy, but extremely small. About the size of a hall way. Lets just say 2 is a crowd back there. In my many years, I’ve seen Paddys transform and squirm while they’re transforming, but they always come out beautifully. For a pub, they put out many wonderful dishes with portions that could feed an army. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The whiskey selection alone is bigger than most other bars entire alcohol selection. Paddys brannans Irish pub, is by far, my favorite place to be. Regardless of who the owner is or who the staff is, there is a simple charm to the building itself, I think.

Not a good experience to report on our first visit to this Pub. Using our phone GPS to direct us to a good place to have a bit to eat, the reviews were ok on our navigation phone reviews but our experience was less than average. The atmosphere was below par as well for a Pub of this caliber. The staff was friendly but very distracted. It took a very long time to finally get our food and when we got it the quality was 3.5 out of 10. My wife had clam chowder which was good but my corned beef dinner was terrible. Took forever to get our check and finally had to ask for the check. Staff still distracted and would not pick up our payment so finally just left the cash on the table. Waitress was also walking around barefoot. Will not be back and we do not recommend this establishment.

Cozy and tiny Irish pub just off the main drag in Ashland… We drove in from the north on I-5 to go to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, but found ourselves driving through 60 miles of smoke from wildfires — pretty much the last 60 miles of driving was in 1000ft visibility smoke — thank goodness for recirculating air-conditioning, and terrific filtration on a Prius! By the time we got to Ashland, air quality was officially«Extremely Unhealthy» and«Hazardous.» My hands, shoulders and back were tied in knots — and the motel check-in was 3 hours away, so we searched Unilocal and found this pub. This best things about this shelter from the smoke were the Bloody Mary and the service. I ordered my Mary medium-spicy — and it was dead on. Came with a fat wedge of lemon, 3 olives, a tall celery spear, and a juicy salt rim… I checked-in through Unilocal and it earned us a free order of fries — which came out of the little kitchen smoking hot and so crispy they snapped when I bit into the first one. A little shake of malt vinegar and I was in heaven. Husband ordered their burger, plain and dry(don’t ask me – but this is how he likes it.) I ordered the corned beef sandwich — kind of a Reuben on a hoagie roll. Since we were getting check-in free fries, we tried to order their fruit cup — when the server said was really just pieces of fruit — then after she checked and discovered they didn’t really have fruit on hand, we switched to salad and coleslaw. It’s just been that kind of day — but the slaw turned out to be quite good. I also tasted and really liked their blue cheese salad dressing on the salad, but was sadly too full to eat much of it. After the Bloody Mary was all gone — I followed it with a much more conservative Coke — and we occupied a table for quite a while as we were trying NOT to go back outside into the smoke. Our server was gracious, and kept our glasses filled with a smile, and suggestions of where to find a hardware store in town to get a painter’s air-filtration mask…

Unfortunately, the food is inconsistent. Our favorite items can be excellent to mediocre. I speak of the irish stew and the chicken pot pie. One time the vegetables in the pie were quite raw. Our server explained that someone new was making this item. Swell, we all had to suffer through eating their mess that night. It seems that the servers ignore us because we are not ordering a large amt of drinks, but maybe they are just always a little short-handed. wish i could give it 5 stars. i would for the few times that irish stew was wonderful!

Just had the burger. Pretty tasty. Not the best in town, but for sure better than Louie’s! My bartender/server was an older man, and by no means a gentleman. I asked him what his favorite burger in Ashland was, and he told me «None in Ashland, cause there’s too many damn vegans.» Rude. What if I was vegan homie? I’m not, but the fact is, that he shouldn’t really be saying anything negative about any single group of people… Serving 101. Also, Im from Ashland. Born and bred, and I listened to him talk badly about my hometown to a guy sitting at the end of the bar. Is it just me, or does this guy not know how to make tips? Just cause you hand me the food that the guy in the kitchen made and tipped the cider tap back to fill a glass of cider(which by the way, sir, I did not want, because Anthem cider tastes like nail polish remover) for me, doesn’t mean I have to tip you. If you’ve not been there, the first thing you should know about Paddy’s: It’s small. The second thing you should know: Nights can get packed, and if you’re claustrophobic, don’t go here. Despite older wanna-be-bartender/server, and the size, I give it a 4 star rating. Paddy’s has the luck of the irish with an owner(Tysin) who is one of the nicest guys around. He still remembers my name even though I only come here every once in awhile. You can tell that he loves this place and works hard. Hopefully he can find employees who do the same.

Delicious Irish pub fare in a reklaxed, cozy and authentic environment. I ordered the bangers and mash, the sausage was delicious and came served with mashed potatoes, gravy and peas. Absolutely delicious low brow cuisine. Try the fries.

Went in there again, hopeful to have a better experience. Though we missed dinner,(our own fault), they were very kind and helpful. We’ll be back.

The service by a spritely ginger lass who worked hard to please several generations of family earned PB’s two extra stars, as the food itself descends beyond potato famine basic. The dry reuben was nothing special, and the fries were oddly tough. The shepherd’s pie, stingy in a tiny soufflé dish, featured a disturbingly watery broth, a couple chunks of overcooked chicken, and a scant few peas. The rim of the dish had been decorated with mashed potatoes from an icing tube; the salmon was dry, and the au gratin potatoes were besotted with grease(«besotted» in an Irish Pub ought to be related to draft consumption). Speaking of besotted, the Boneyard IPA was fantastic, and the Dead mix which accompanied our meal was a relaxing backdrop for easy conversation. The booths are tall and embracing, and the Pub is a fine place to tip a pint or wee dram. Just pretend the kitchen never happened.

Popped in here for a pre-dinner drink after a long day. It was pretty empty early so I am thinking they don’t do much for happy hour. The bartender chick was really nice and made good strong drinks. It wasn’t very Irish feeling– more like a regular bar with a few extra Irish decorations. I will be back for a bourbon another day.

Gayle and I were wandering around one early afternoon, knowing we wanted to have lunch somewhere and sometime. Neither of us were very decisive or all that hungry, since our wonderful New Sammy’s dinner the night before and the Peerless Breakfast that morning kept us pretty much full and happy. The deciding factor was my preference for a beer and the close proximity at the time of Paddy Brannan’s Irish Pub. The place was a little dark for Gayle’s taste, but we found a comfortable table with some sun. The overall menu was fairly extensive and interesting. Paddy Brannan’s is definitely not a 7 course Irish meal(a 6-pack and a potato) kind of place. We were also immediately struck by the friendliness and knowledge of our host, who was maybe one of the owners. He made some great wine and beer recommendations and both Gayle and I thoroughly enjoyed our food choices(salad for her and potato soup and a grilled sharp Irish cheese sandwich for me). The warm bread for the nearby Village Baker was also really good. At the end of our meal, we struck up a nice conversation with a woman at the bar about the current OSF season. Our host then suggested that we come back after one of the shows and hang out with the cast members that sometimes come by. And for these 2 late night«party animals», this kind invitation was certainly tempting…
