This place was good. The food and the service is excellent. We had steaks and american fare. I would go back here again.

The menu is interesting but the food was rather bland(except for the winter salad, which was small but good). The appetizers were better than the entrees, it was generally agreed. The tenderloin was neither especially tender, tasty or hot when it was presented. The portions were not large, so dessert could be considered, although nothing ultimately appealed to anyone in our party. Service was very good and the room is stylish. At this price point, the food should be better.

After reading the mixed reviews I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was really, really pleased. I had two cocktails, the black cod entrée and a chocolate-themed dessert. The black cod was absolutely awesome; it rivaled any I’ve had anywhere. The drinks were tasty and creative without being ridiculous, and the dessert was great. My husband had the lamb osso bucco and said it was very, very tender and incredibly rich. He said it was easily some of the best lamb he’s had. Service was efficient and friendly. I would recommend this place if you want somewhere that is cosy but not cramped(we were a table of 6) and if you have a variety of tastes to please, especially people who like meat and fish. Although it is a tad on the $$ side, I will be happy to come back for the cod any time I want a nice meal.

Seriously good food, as usual, but attention to detail leaves something to be desired. Busy night, lots of noise, room was fun. But, had to ask for bread three times… it appeared finally, right after our bread plates had been removed. Wonderful small plates, soups and appetizers are consistanly good.

Disappointing. We made reservations here for dinner on our last night expecting some of the options from the appetizing online menu. Unfortunately our waiter informed us that the online menu is so out of date that people call for take out and often order items they haven’t had in years. Awesome. The REAL menu was small and with not many appealing options at all so we seriously considered leaving, but at the last moment decided to stay for apps. We went with the recommended lamb meatballs and scallops. These plates were great, and left us wanting more. Well, we should have just ordered more of those because the main courses were not worth it– steak & fish specials. Wish I could get that $ 300 back.

If I could give a negative review, I would. The hostess seemed confused when we approached him for a table. Maybe I should have worn a suit? Fact is, the atmosphere and the staff was less than inviting. For as long as it took to get a table, it took three times as long to get any service. Service aside, one star for the food itself. One word describes it: Bland. Overall the worst experience(and food) I’ve ever had.

Highly enjoyable dinner on the patio the other night. Reserved table was ready when we arrived. Service was attentive but not obtrusive. Every dish we ordered(for 4 of us) tasted excellent and food was plated nicely but not excessively showy. The charcutrie plate was superb. Good wine list. Great desserts. Prices in line with other places in Aspen. Not pretentious.

We, too, had a very good meal at Elevation this week. The food was imaginative yet tasty, well presented and well served. The staff attended to our every need efficiently without hovering. The highlight of the meal was the crisp pork belly appetizer but the rocky mountain trout, Colorado rack of lamb and veal chop were all delicious. The only downside was the noise level and crowded dining room — tables very close together to the point where servers had difficulty reaching both sides of the table. Otherwise, a great choice for a nice dinner in Aspen.

I’m surprised to see how all-over-the-place the reviews for Elevation are. We had a wonderful experience dining here the other night. Service was impeccable; anyone on the team who saw that a glass needed filling or a plate clearing pitched in. The staff expressed great concern for our satisfaction – at one point I mentioned a cocktail I hadn’t liked(different bar in a different city) and the waiter quickly offered to replace my drink. One of the servers also made some food recommendations that turned out pretty well for those who followed them. Drinks were good. I loved the margarita with jalapeño-infused tequila. We had some excellent red wine as well. The food was excellent, although there were a few dishes that I would tinker with if put into the kitchen. I liked the wasabi caesar but would punch up the wasabi flavor a bit more. The people who ordered the beet salad reported it to be quite light on beets(bad!). The«rum and coke» pork tacos were tasty, but it was a mystery to me why they were called«rum and coke.» The scallops and the ahi pizza were both hits. For my entrée, I had the lobster bolognese and really enjoyed it. It appeared undersauced when it arrived, but once I stirred the plate I did have enough sauce. It was a bit spicy and had a good fresh tomato and seafood flavor. I think the pappardelle noodles were also fresh. I snagged a bite of the short ribs and thought those were pretty good too. I would not hesitate to return to Elevation if I were back in Aspen. This is a solid 4.5 stars for me.

I saved this reservation for our last night in Aspen. The hostess gave us a GREAT table near a window with sparling holiday trees and said«thank you for making a reservation!» We started with glasses of champagne and the chicken balsamic pâté. OMG. Delish!!! I could have just kept ordering plates of pâté and drank the rest of the bubbly! Nevertheless, we moved on to the entrees: Lobster Papparedelle for him and Black Cod and Risotto for her. No room for dessert. Then off to the bar to toast our fabulous Aspen holiday. I would definitely go back!

A little bit of confusion at the hostess stand upon our arrival, but once seated it was smooth sailing. Service was attentive despite the busy evening they were having. Menu was so interesting we couldn’t decide on what to get; finally decided on pistachio gnoochi, mushrooms, cod and shortribs. All the food was really good– would definetly order the gnoochi again!

Surprisingly decent wine list. Chicken pâté was better than at Montagne. They accommodated me with lobster and sauce on the side of the pappardelle pasta(usually with lobster bolognese) and the lobster was pretty good.

We went to Elevation after the Powder Awards during the X Games. I open with that because it means that every food joint in Aspen was packed. That said, service was fair. We had the wasabi caeser with ginger croutons and the salmon, both of which were excellent. As the night wore on, the music near the bar became so loud that conversation was impossible. Our server disappeared for a portion of the evening and we had to order a few rounds from the bar. Good food, decent wine list. If I go again, it will be earlier in the evening.

Went for our 3 year anniversary and the atmoshere was great. Ate in the bar area. The foos was ok, truffled fingerling potatoes were great, gnocci. eh so-so. Both of us had tenderloins med-rare and they were good. not great. Wine list was so-so. The crème-bruleee however… best I’ve ever had.
