THEWORSTINATLANTA!!! BARNONE… PLEASESTOPGOINGANDLETITROTTENINGAYHELL!!! This restaurant is terrible on all points. Bad service. Bad food… Super overpriced. Small OJ is 6 dollars, and 5 small plain pancakes without whip crème and strawberry is 10. And a campbell chicken soup you claim you made with a biscuit is 14??? EXCUSEME, but where the fuck are you from and who you think you are to rip customers without integrity like this. It’s an injustice to the restaurant biz. The owner, the waiters and everyone should be prosecuted for scamming, and providing this horrendous experience to the customers! Provide good service, and good decent food first, and then we can discuss how much it’s worth!!! SHAMEONYOU!!!

The five stars is for the Chilaquiles, which is the only thing I get at this place, and I go once a week. It’s worth it every time.

Friend and I were looking for a brunch spot that would suit us both. Bantam + Biddy was a good choice as it was close to my home, offered sweet breakfast(french toast for me) and something more savory(chicken biscuit for my friend). Overall, the food was good. But the portion sizes were so small. We were both still hungry when we left.

NIce place. I’ve been here twice now on a Sunday for their Sunday Special. They offer a fried chicken platter with 2 sides for brunch. I have tried the coleslaw which is really delicious, the corn, mashed potatoes are okay. The cornbread has a few pieces of jalapenos in it, which is different but good. On a nice summer like winter day the patio is relaxing to dine upon. It offers some obstructed views but still nice to be outdoors. The staff members overall are extremely nice and easy to like. I usually spend about 15 –20 bucks here based on my 2 experiences and I don’t regret it. Getting hungry now just thinking about it. They have other locations including their affiliate Chick A Biddy at Atlantic Station.

I came for breakfast, but it stops at 11:30 am Mon-Fri… So I tried mostly the snacks! The fried chicken tenders were delicious & gluten free… 3 comes with the snack an its more than enough… I tried the deviled eggs and they were good with a great smoked flavor, but I had to add a little sea salt for taste. Lastly, I tried the chicken Brunswick stew & it had great flavor(especially for cold days), that included a gluten-free jalapeño corn muffin and it was delicious. The side of bacon was limp and a bit too spicy for my liking. I will definitely be back for the Big Chicken Skillet & gluten free pancakes!!! The servers seem to work as a team and at a fast pace. The Southern 75 was an awesome drink… I would recommend, especially if you are gluten free, cage free, healthy, & farmed raised…

Came here 2 weeks ago for brunch with a couple friends. We picked it because it came up in our search for gluten free places, and it also sells chicken and waffles. I’ve been living in Atlanta for a year now(not including 4 years of college 10 years ago) and had still yet to actually have chicken and waffles. But, I’m in the South, and so feel like I should try these southern things. Also, my friends were Midwesterners visiting for the weekend, and one of them was really keen on trying this dish as well. My one friend and I ended up splitting an order of chicken and waffles and a western omelet with grits as the side(we were not ready to commit fully to this chicken and waffles business) and my other friend, who is gluten free, got the pancakes. They have a very gluten free friendly menu, with tons of options and everything marked clearly. She said the pancakes were delicious and tasted just like regular(i.e., gluten full) pancakes. She also cannot eat things with high fructose corn syrup, so she asked if the jams and syrup that came with them had any. They are all homemade and did not, so that was another plus. While my gluten-free friend would give the meal a big thumbs up, my side of things was not as great. First off, the chicken and waffles was pretty… meh. I’d be willing to chalk that up to maybe it’s just not my kind of dish, but even the waffle itself(a cheddar waffle) I did not find to be that inspiring. For the western omelet, we asked for the salsa on the side — they left it on the side of the kitchen counter, I guess, because we never got it. The omelet itself was good. I love grits, and my Midwestern friend had never had them and was looking forward to try this Southern staple — but they were bland and just not good at all. I hope she believes me that good grits are much better than this, because she did not get a good impression of grits from Bantam and Biddy’s. The top of the section of the menu that contained the chicken and waffles said that entrees in that section came with jalapeño corn bread. We were also looking forward to that, but didn’t realize til the end of the meal that we never got that either. When I asked the waiter about it, he acknowledged that the section said that, but said there was some fine print in the actual entrée listing that indicated that this dish did not come with cornbread, and that people often missed that note. I thought that was kind of lame, but didn’t say anything further because I guess it’s on us to read the menu thoroughly. But he was nice enough that he came back a minute later and brought us one anyway, for free! Nice gesture, but unfortunately I did not find it to be very good at all. It had neither a strong cornbread nor strong jalapeño taste. On the plus side, we got seated pretty quickly for a Sunday afternoon(though another lady waiting was upset we got seated before her party as she said she was there first, but I don’t know), the food came out pretty quickly, and the service was good for the most part. It’s good enough, but I’m not particularly hurrying to go back.

This is really a 2 part review. The 5 stars specifically go to Dustin, the food runner. He is amazing! I’ve worked in the service industry for years and I know exactly what being a food runner entails and Dustin went above and beyond the whole night. Thank you so much! You made our experience so much better than it would have been otherwise! The 2nd part of the review(because it has to be said) is that it really seemed like the poor guy had to bust his butt to take care of us because we were pretty neglected by our server. It wasn’t too busy(he got a large table after we came in, so of course I know that is stressful.) But anything additional that we needed was taken care of by the food runner and not the server. I wish my whole time would have gone to him and not the server.

UPDATE: I just walked out and will not be returning. I advise everyone else to do the same until management gets the message: your service is the WORST. I’ve made excuses for the poor service because the food is so good in the past… but I’ve officially had it. I went in to order take-out, plenty of people working, was blatantly ignored despite there being someone right in front of me at the register, had to ask for a menu, waited for anyone to take my order. No one did. Still, even after asking someone to help and watching another woman place a to-go order by badgering an employee, no one helped. I walked out for the last time. To the owners, I seriously don’t understand what is going on with this place. Please do something.

After the lunch we had here recently, and our last couple of visits here, I have to lower my rating for this Bantam + Biddy. The service, the food, and even the sweet tea here is just too inconsistent for us. The last time we ate here, I noticed that the Poutine that I usually order(and had never been disappointed in) is no longer on the menu! I was bummed out, but I decided to give the meatloaf lunch special a try. Both my mom and I make a really good meatloaf so, it’s really unusual for me to order that dish at a restaurant. I have to say… the meatloaf here is soooooo baaaaad. I mean it. I’d rename it Meat Brick, if I could. I was really dense, dry, and the only flavour that it had was the tomato sauce drenched on top. I really regret not sending that dish back, after I took a bite. I did eat the mashed potatoes and gravy, and the side that I got with it so, there was that. The waitress we had did see that I didn’t eat more than a bite of the meatloaf, but she didn’t say anything about it. She also seemed a little miffed when I asked her if she brought us sweet tea, not regular iced tea, because what we had wasn’t sweet at all. Not great service, poutine no longer on the menu, non sweet sweet tea = no more B+B for us.

Convenient quality food with fast service. 1) Comfort food selection is quite tasty. My favorite dish here is the blackened chicken burger. The grilled salmon salad is also fantastic. 2) They bring the food quickly once you get your order in(which itself takes time). Some downsides: 1) Breakfast selection is not that great to be honest. e.g. No Benedict. No smoked salmon. 2) Service is a bit slow — takes a while to get a waited to attend your table, and also to get the check.

I’ve gotten takeout from here a couple of times, but never actually eaten here. I do just sit at the bar so I look around and notice things while I wait, and it’s definitely a cute place. I guess since I’ve been to the Lenox one to sit and eat, I have a general idea, but yeah, this one’s my takeout spot. Here I go more on the non-breakfast food side of the menu. I really enjoy their poutine, though I wouldn’t recommend bothering with the roast chicken add-on unless you’re willing to go through the effort to cut those chunks up so there’s a feeling of more chicken. However, I am AAAAAAALL about the Royale with Cheese sandwich. Big fried chicken breast, a massive amount of pimiento cheese, and delicious slices of Patak’s bacon on a biscuit. Worth every penny. It’s messy, but it’s well worth the risk of being watched in horror as you devour this thing. I can’t stray from their fries, which are delicious, and unfortunately for vegetarians, fried in duck fat, but there are so many other veggie sides that honestly, I would come back just for their veggie plate where you pick yourself four. I’ll be back for that deathly good sandwich…

The food is good but the service is atrocious. 1) they have a $ 2 beer special all day, everyday. They ran out of the beer and wouldn’t substitute a different beer. 2) I got someone else’s drink which I took a drink of before realizing what it was. The server said ‘I gave you the wrong drink’. He proceeded to go to the bar, get a new straw then walked over and handed the person the same drink that I had tasted. 3) there were four of us for dinner and 3 of 4 meals were messed up. We all got the wrong sides and one person ordered the cheddar bacon waffle which the server recommended and didn’t even end up with it. I’d recommend getting it to go so you can enjoy the food and not deal with the service. The sides are delicious — mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, broccoli slaw and grits. The wasabi honey was awesome as was the ¼ dark chicken. The chicken strips were tiny and the chicken and waffles wasn’t bone in chicken.

Time and Time again I keep going back hoping that things will get better but I’m still finding it hard to get good service. I work at Ansley mall and often times I have Reps buying me and my co workers lunch. We suggest Bantam because it’s convenient but now we’re gonna definitely go else where. It’s the CONSTANT and REPETITIVE asking for simplistic things like«to-go flatware» or how they Always get my order wrong(even when I have gone down there and verbally given my order with ALL the specifics. If that’s not enough it’s also the deplorable attitude and disrespect that occurs from manager when I have to march down there for them to correct their ever going mistakes. Get it together– everyone complains about your service and it was forgivable in the beginning but not it’s rather annoying and pathetic.

While I find everything on the menu just a *touch* over priced, Bantam + Biddy is one of those local chains that I find myself returning to again and again, particularly for brunch. What I love: –Tons of parking in the Ansley Mall strip –Never a wait for a brunch table –Plenty of healthy options(delicious salads with fresh produce and super tender rotisserie chicken) –Plenty of tempting indulgence items(cheddar biscuit with fried chicken tenders) –A commitment to humanely raised animal products without being pushy about it –Speedy service –Willing to split checks All in all, when you’re looking to escape the slightly overdone Atlanta brunch scene and enjoy a low key meal with friends, B+B is a solid pick.

Food was pretty good but pricey and kinda hit or miss with the service. We waited a good bit to even get a menu on an un-crowded Wednesday evening. I got the Chicken & Waffle and added a side of their creamy grits. The chicken and waffle were fabulous. The grits… Not so much. They tasted like they were not cooked all the way and had clumps of crunchy/hard grits. Yuck. Husband got the ¼ chicken with Mac N Cheese and side salad. He said it was good but the portions were so teeny tiny for the price. We would possibly come back, but just for the chicken and waffles.

I’ve been here many times so I’m hoping there will be redemption in the future. It was a typical Sunday and had a hankering for Bantam’s «typically» delicious Sunday night Supper of Fried Chicken(they only make it on Sunday). The sides were awesome as usual — you can’t go wrong with Duck Fat Fries or Mashed potatoes and yummy cornbread that comes with every entrée. The Fried Chicken was so disappointing, over-fried and just not moist at all. The worst part is I saved the«hard pieces» and some skin for the dogs and even my dog that eats everything initially turned up his nose at it. Anyway, it’s now how I wanted to finish the weekend so I hope this was just an off night. I’m not sure I’ll be running back any time soon :(

This is one of our favorite places to fuel up on the weekend. We’ve been here so many times that I’ve lost count. Despite the fact that they get pretty packed during breakfast/brunch hours, somehow we’ve never waited for a table. That’s the main reason I love coming here. Nothing makes a weekend feel more like a weekday on the Downtown Connector than having to sit in a queue for a table. No thanks. I love to order the Sautéed Maine Salmon Filet with Cheddar Mashed Potatoes and Sautéed Spinach & Garlic. On my last visit they were sold out so I had to get the Fried Chicken Tenders instead. Don’t get me wrong, the chicken is good but the salmon is better. Flaky, silky salmon with just enough saltiness to please my taste buds… yum! Last time they had a lovely soup of the day(Kale and Chicken) that was delicious. Oversized portions aren’t their thing but I’ve always left the table feeling satisfied. Their focus seems to be quality over quantity and that’s just fine with me.

This was def a diner style restaurant with its cozy atmosphere. The service was very adorable. Even near closing time, everyone was nice and cordial. The fried chicken with the cheddar waffle was pretty good. The chicken tenders looked shrunken though, but it was pretty soft and good. I guess that’s what my friend and I get for coming in pretty close to closing time. But then again, I had an image of the chicken tenders to be large and fluffy. The thing wasn’t coated with a heavy flour, it was just the perfect combo for a fried chicken/tender type item. My friend’s meatloaf was a tad too dry. Thank goodness I didn’t go with this choice. Perhaps it’s because it was sitting there all day(?). The mac & cheese as the side was pretty good. The other side, sweet potato fries were delish. Oh. The cornbread that comes with his meal was pretty tasty as well. Let’s just say I had a sample of everything on his plate. lol. There is validated parking for the garage. Just make sure you obtain this validation before leaving the restaurant. Lol. Overall a cute little place for a nice bite to eat.

I am quite torn about this place … it is sitting between a 3 and a 4 really. Firstly, the food was a bit better than okay, but it did not really hit the spot. I had the meat loaf platter that came with two sides: spinach and quinoa salad and sweet potato fries … at 12.50 for the plate, it was pretty good. The meatloaf was good, but I must say that the meatloaf I make at home is much better than this. I hated the fact that they called the tomato sauce on top as «tomato gravy» which gave me a much different expectation … I mean, it was just tomato sauce with chopped tomatoes … the quinoa and spinach salad was actually good but I dont know why I was expecting sauteed spinach? lol… it came as fresh raw spinach, so again, not what i expected, but this was quite delicious. the dressing that came with it was interesting as well. The sweet potato fries were the best thing on my dish. I also enjoyed the cornbread muffin. i was able to try the grits and biscuits from my friend’s plate, and although she was not too impressed with hers, I actually liked both of them. I had the moscow mule for a drink, and i was not too impressed with it though … all in all, i was in very great company and had a great time, but the server we had was NOT on point at all. she forgot our napkins, extra cheese, silverware, and refilling our water, and when she did came by, she poured water on my friend’s sprite and walked on away … it took as a while to flag someone down and have this mistake corrected. At one point, my friend asked her how much extra would it be to have cheese grits instead, and our server just agreed, and walked away without answering the question. lol. I mean, she was nice and all, but she was just really off that day. she hardly came by our table, and everything just took so much longer than it should. but, the atmosphere was great, the food was a bit better than ok, so all in all, it was A-OK.
