I’ve had much better Asian Fusion type food around in Atlanta. I go here quite often since it’s so close to where I live, and it’s quick on the pick up orders at night. Overall if you’re craving some asian food, you’re better off somehwere else. If you’re cut short on time and need somethign quick but don’t want the typical fast food. This is your best bet.

I’ll go out of my way to eat at Doc Cheys. Seriously, it’s nowhere near where I live. A few things to try when you go: pad thai, basil rolls(all ingredients from local farmers), spring rolls, and of course the coconut soup! Plenty of hot teas to choose from or cold beer if you want that! Patio seating available. Friendly service.

I came for the soup. It’s yummy and perfectly price of I want a little or a lot. I left after I got water cause there were hardly any customers and I didn’t get a server after that. The servers and cooks were all appeared exhausted, yet it was only 920 and there was no crowd. What’s ironic, I drove pass the soup place around the block from DC and they were packed. It’s was a beautiful and warm night, yet there were more people at the spot where they sell soup than DC with the open patio and bar. What’s up with that. The food is good, but the service bites.

First time coming here and I got it to go after work. My goodness the smell was amazing when I was driving home with it in the to go bag, I was looking forward to the taste. Well that’s when it goes downhill. The food is absolutely tasteless. It’s like they don’t have the proper spices to use on the food.

I WAS a long time and loyal customer for years. Spent birthdays and holidays here. Today I get a call from my bank saying a $ 100 plus charge was just put on my card from Doc Cheys. This is an unusually high charge for the restaurant and I had just had my card compromised last week so the bank was being cautious. We called the manager«Melanie». She was very rude and told me their machines were not taking the money out of customers account for the month of March and they went ahead and charged me all together for«the services they provided me for the month of March». So here I am with a negative balance on my account because of their screw up. It also makes me wonder how they are keeping their books. You mean to tell me they didn’t realize the money wasn’t being taken out of customers accounts? They just randomly realized it at the end of the month? They couldn’t have warned customers of this issue? They might have just made some money but will not make a cent more from this customer.

Two dolla Coconut soup, dammnn good. I forget about this place. It’s been around so long this old timer remembers when it was the hot new spot and you had to wait for a table at the VaHi locations which was the only Noodle shop outside Buford Hwy and was palatable to Atlantans. Menu has changed with the times and food is still really good and affordable. I think they’ve become a commodity as Atlanta has a ton of Noodle shops now. They have the usual so no details on that. But if you’re in business as long as they have 15+ years you’re doing something right. Service is ok. I went after a meeting for a very late lunch. They brought out my soup, appetizer AND meal at the same time and said we’re not busy now and just walked off. They lost a star for that. Like décor and if I think about and IF in the area will stop in again… when it’s busier lol

I would say this place is similar to Tin drum, but not as good or Asian… which says a lot right? I am giving 3 stars because our server was really nice and the place itself has a decent set up. I have come to conclude that there are not many good«inexpensive or clean» asian spots in the city. Can I just get a good take out place by my house?!

If you love Asian fusion, then you’ll love Doc Chey’s! The location, food, and drinks are a delight. I had the beef lo mein(extra spicy) while my mom had szechuan stir fry with beef and shrimp! Wonderful! We were celebrating my mom’s bday so, of course, we had to have a drink… or two. I decided on the Bourbon $ 5 special which was so nice I had to do it twice. My mom, on the other hand, had the Ginger Mai Tai and the Sake Rita. She enjoyed both, but leaned more towards the Rita! Who doesn’t love a good Rita? We also had the chicken broth soups… why not? All in all, the service was great(Waitress: Malia), the food/drinks were great, and it’s kid friendly!!! As a parent who loves to dine out, it’s always nice to go to places that I enjoy, but also are great for kids. My kid colored, ate chicken tenders, and watched Netflix haha as the(young) adults talked over dinner. This was my third time at Doc Chey’s and it’s far from my last. Can’t wait for Summer lunch’s on the patio.

Good food. Chill environment. Nothing too fancy schmancy but still good. Not something you gotta try before you die.

This place has some really good food. I tried the Mongolian chicken with rice and broccoli and it was delicious. It was not to heavy and I left feeling good. It was also savory and delicious. Would definitely go back!

I frequent this place about once a week for lunch. They offer healthy portions and tasty menu choices. The atmosphere is a laid back. Also parking is ample in the deck next door.

Peace. Love. Noodles. This is what I learned dining at Doc Chey’s. Stopped in with my family and for a Saturday evening, I was happy that there wasn’t a ton of people there. Once I walked in, I really got the«oh another chill neighborhood spot». There were 11 people in our party but we were seated and greeted promote by our ever so calm waiter, Corey. The menu is laid out in the simplest way and I appreciated that the prices were under $ 10 for entrees and under $ 8 for the apps. Had a chance to try the dumplings and the green beans for an app and they came out piping hot and full of flavor. I kept it simple and ordered the chicken lo mein($ 9) and when this huge bowl arrived in front of me… lets just say I definitely couldn’t finish half the bowl. You find any super fancy food here and I am perfectly okay here but you can find some really good and adorable food, a chill atmosphere, and awesome customer service which always makes my heart smile.

This place is great. The food is delicious. One of my favorite dishes has become the Teryikai Japanese Udon with Chicken. We start with an order of edamame. Skip the salt, it is better without it. An added bonus to eating here is that on the weekends our daughter eats for free! Join their Karma Club. Our daughter enjoys the Lo Mein with Chicken. We often ask for a side of streamed broccoli. She loves it. The service is fast. Our servers have always been polite and quick. When we have a night of not wanting to cook but still want savory meal with veggies, this location has become one of our favorite«plan B» alternatives.

Can’t stop coming here either. You have to try the black bean noodle, it’s spicy but doesn’t burn. And I love the chicken noodle soup! I get it with extra boy choy… Oh and the shrimp rolls! Mmmmmm!!! Get down here and eat up!

This place is really decent and yummy. I have been eating here for years. It is considered«Asian Fusion.» And while it is not the best Asian food on the planet, it is decent. It is definitely Americanized versions of some classic dishes. My favorites on the menu are probably the Spicy Basil Noodle or Black Bean Noodle. In general, if you are looking for a quick and decent place that has a variety of different types of «Asian» inspired food, you can’t go wrong with Doc Chey’s.

Friendly efficient help, well run restaurant. 2 locations, the other being N Highland which has been there a lot longer. Overall I like it, and have been going for years! I karma card too, for frequent dining, and you should too as its free to sign up! Just two things I don’t like: The side rice noodle is it? on the lettuce wrap. Reminds me too much of packing noodles, those things they pack in your boxes you get by UPS. Almost seems like an industrial non food item. Don’t know where it comes from but if its from Mainland China Id be even more leery of it. Photo of it posted. –the award of free appetizer on karma card, just FYI it takes the cheapest appetizer off even though it is good for any of them. It considers the $ 2 coconut soup an appetizer. So I paid for the lettuce wraps rather than letting it use it on a $ 2 item. To preprogram that is kinda cheesy. SO. if you want to take it off a more expensive appetizer DONT order any others of lower price. I ordered lettuce wrap and the soup and that was it… fortunately the gal at the register asked first rather than just doing it. I opted to just pay and save the freebie on the card. Other than that, its a good place for affordable fast dining.

My supervisors love this place so yesterday was a great opportunity for me to see what this place has to offer. We went in for lunch and I must say that it’s a cool looking spot. The cashier was very friendly and gave me a few recommendations being that I was new to the place. I love pad Thai and guess what was on their menu? You’ve got it… Pad Thai. My supervisors ordered their favorite appetizers and entrees while I put in an order for the chicken Pad Thai. As we sat at the table patiently waiting the arrival of our food(not a long wait at all) my mouth started to water in anticipation of those great flavors that would grace my palate. The food arrived and I couldn’t wait to dive in. It was piping hot just the way I liked however, there was nothing memorable about it. In all honestly it ranked average. Nothing special about, there was no party in my mouth. Ooh well… You live and you learn.
