The Pickle serves a hodgepodge of Tex-Mex, Cajun food, and desserts out of a food truck. There is also a pickle on the menu, which costs $ 2.50? Same price as the chocolate chip cookie and the walnut brownie. Highlights: I ordered the grilled chicken & green chile quesadilla for a little over $ 8 after tax. The order came with three medium sized pieces of quesadilla, a cup of salsa, and a scoop of sour cream served on lettuce. The quesadilla does have more flavor than some of the burritos served in the area. There were actually a few large pieces of green chiles, which added a nice amount of flavor but not a lot of spice. Critiques: The salsa was decent, but I thought it could be better. If you’re hungry, you probably won’t be full with one quesadilla order. You’re paying the«food truck premium», so I’ll admit that this is a little expensive for a quesadilla of this size — but that’s to be expected. Overall: The order may not have made me full and the salsa was a bit underwhelming, but the quesadilla tasted good — so I’m giving this food truck four stars.

Got lunch from this food truck when it was at Georgia Tech campus. Ordered the Crawfish, Chicken & Andouille Sausage Étouffée over Rice — $ 7.50. It’s served in a plastic container, so be careful in transferring it as it gets very very hot. If you like jambalaya, then you will love this dish. It’s a lot saucier than jambalaya as the rice is practically drowning in the sauce but I love sauce with my rice. It was very filling and satisfying.

The pickle has come to my work twice during lunch. I have tried the cajun chicken egg rolls and the gluten free black beans, pork, and rice. The lavender berry lemonade is good but could could use a lil more sugar. I have been very happy with the food options and the service of the food truck. Highly recommended!

In the city for work, and happened upon the food truck outside of my office complex and needless to say, I’m glad I did. I had the fish tacos(which were more like fish quesadillas) and the berry lavender lemonade both exceeding expectations. The fish taco had a really balanced flavor, with the smoked salsa and their dairy based sauce. The lemonade was very aromatic and light, not too sweet as most of the other drinks I’ve had in the South tend to be. Next time I’m in the city I’m going to be looking it up for a quick and delicious bite.

I’m a little ambivalent about The Pickle. No real complaints about anything. The quesadillas are solid if a bit light. Beans & rice also quite acceptable, if more than a bit bland, requiring a healthy dose of one of the many condiments available. People are nice, friendly. But twice I’ve had to wait out of order while others’ food came out before mine and it’s not like I order Peking Duck. They might need a better system for processing orders. Or it could be anomalies, I don’t know. In any case, they’ve been around a while and there are more things I should try, so an updated review is certainly possible.

I visited The Pickle on Music Midtown Day 2 for a late lunch — something about mosh pits and carrying crowd surfers just takes it out of you; I was absolutely ravenous. I hopped in line for ‘The Pickle’ because I’d heard good things(read: Unilocaled it). I chose the chicken quesadilla– $ 9 for two tiny halves. I understand that price increases due to events and parking fees, but $ 9 for a quesadilla — with just the barest bit of chicken?! How much could it be normally? Besides the price, the dish itself was pretty bland, and came out closer to cold than lukewarm. I also opted for a lavender berry lemonade — sounds amazing right? It looked pretty damn good too(they had about a dozen or so pre-poured in to-go cups) but it was so watered down, there was just the slightest hint of pink lemonade. I was pretty disappointed after reading such great reviews, maybe I’ll give it another chance at a less hectic venue.

STREETFOOD. Saw the truck at the Candler Park Festival and I tried the cajun chicken egg rolls. YUMMY! They aren’t healthy by any far stretch of the imagination but what egg rolls are? I typically don’t like friend foods but this was fried food goodness! Definitely try them, you won’t be disappointed. :)

I just discovered this food truck while at the Grant Park Festival. It is a great addition to my knowledge of ATL food trucks. Crispy fish taco — outstanding. Spinach and black bean quesadilla — great. I like it a lot.

Hands down, my favorite food truck in the ATL. The cajun chicken eggrolls are the most unique food around. Our family always has to have a double order to keep the fighting to a minimum. Fresh done great — if you see the pickle, get in line! You won’t regret it!

If you happen across the Pickle at a festival or food truck park, you’re in luck! The Cajun chicken eggrolls are like crack, especially if you’re drinking beer. I love the quesadillas with chicken and pablano peppers, too. Round out your meal with a homemade(and oftentimes home grown) dill pickle and a cup of lavender berry lemonade.

I had the Crawfish, Chicken & Andouille Sausage Étouffée over Rice, Cajun Chicken Eggrolls, and Crispy Fish Taco. … the most AMAZING food ever! Everything was done just right. The étouffée had great flavor… it wasn’t bland like many I’ve tried… even more surprising is that it came from a food truck. The fish taco’s tortilla was lightly crisp on the outside, the fish itself was nicely fried(or baked), perfect amount of lettuce, tomato and all that good stuff. I have no idea what kind of sauce they used. but I loved it. For around $ 7, it was well worth it. I was happily surprised when I was handed a big burrito size taco cut in half. I was expecting a small taco like many other places would give. As for the eggroll… I’ve never had an eggroll like that! It had the perfect amount of cheesy goo and cripsy outside. If you haven’t tried The Pickle … you MUST try it!!! You won’t regret it!!! =DDDD Tell them The Chin’s sent you. haha. jk.

Always a fan of a good food truck, The Pickle, easily the premier food options at the R-Town festival, did not let me down. I had the Crispy Fish Tacos(delightful) with a few pickled peppers on the side. Festival eats, under $ 10 that taste great and leaves you full, you do the math.

Tried the crab cake salad today and it was awesome! The salad alone was a treat– fresh veggies(was that a cubanelle pepper?!) that tasted like they just came out of the garden. Then add some grilled zucchini which was super flavorful. The star of the show was indeed the crab cake– really good! I expected much less for $ 8 and I really got a treat for my money. I’ll be back!

Love, love, love the Pickle Ultimate Catering Services. I always hunt down the big green cooking machine. The fish tacos are AMAZING. And the eggroll — such a combination of flavors. Try the brownies. At every festival or event — I look for the Pickle.

Just an FYI, the fish taco has«more to love.» It’s enormous(and delicious), so don’t let the price fool you.

We finally were able to try Pickle’s fare at Sweetwater 420 fest in April. Chicken, Sausage, and Crawfish Étouffée is phenomenal, my BBQ. I can’t wait to see them again so I can try something else off their fantastic menu — especially their homemade pickles!

Street Food Thursday is possibly the greatest thing to hit the Midtown Mile since they finished the Loews Hotel. I was surprised at the big crowd, but I guess if you work in one of the nearby offices all you have to do is look down and you’ll see the trucks. I probably should have picked something other than the black beans, rice, and pulled pork. It was barbecue plopped on top of beans and rice. Nothing fancy. Almost like a menu of last resort. Still, it was good. Next time I’ll try one of the sandwiches. The étouffée looked delicious and so did one of the wraps, although I’m not sure what it was called. You can’t beat the price. $ 6.00 for a really filling lunch is a-okay in my book.

Fair street food means greasy and overpriced, right? Not with these folks. Two $ 6 meals that were filling and good. My Cajun chicken egg rolls were delightful! Chicken, a bit of ham, corn, and other tasty vittles in a well-fried, non-greasy roll. The two sizable rolls were chopped in half and served on(iceberg) lettuce with a creamy sauce. Some splashes of tabasco, and these rolls are fantastic finger food. My wife’s black beans and rice with andouille may mix cuisines, but it’s well done. Good sausage, and very well seasoned beans. Very, very filling, as good beans and rice should be. Sure, $ 6 is far more than beans & rice cost to make, but this is available at a street fair. And it’s relatively healthy… Great option. Looking forward to seeing the Pickle at other events.

The Pickle was one of the food truck vendors at Souper Jenny’s festival Thursday night… they offer delicious food with a latin flare! I had the Grilled Sweet Potato & Chile & Pickled Okra Quesadilla– it was served with lettuce, sour cream, and smoked tomato salsa– so DELICIOUS! The combination of tender sweet potato, with the tangy okra, and the crunch of tortilla and spicy salsa was out of this world! The price was a little steep at $ 7 for 1 quesadilla, but it was well worth it!
