Amazing blue cheese stuffed olives and filet mignon tartare!!! The service was great!

I’m glad to hear that this dump closed. The service was beyond atrocious. When I went, I watched for 45 minutes as tables who sat after me were served their entrees and even dessert. Eventually, I asked for the check to leave.

Central was our go to dinner restaurant while staying at Revel. We have been there couple times before and usually they are always busy. This time around(March 2013) at peak dinner time there were a lot of empty tables. One of the things we like there was the good service and knowledgeable staff. Our waitress, however did not know the alcohol that was available at the bar. She either had to ask the manager or went to the bar to ask. Additionally, she did not meet our expectations of previous staff. Order: Lamb shank, Braised short rib pappardelle(both dishes we ordered before), mushroom pearl pasta risotto, Burrata mozzarella, confit tomato. The mushroom risotto had a very nice flavor very rich and heavy, portion is large enough for an entrée. The lamb lacked flavor and the short rib was not pull apart tender. I’m not sure what happened to this restaurant, but the quality has changed for the worse. They also ran out of popular liquor selections(eg. Grey Goose) and told us that they were out for over a week. Overall: The food was good, but again use to be better.

The two stars are in recognition of presentation and service, which were excellent. The food was sub-par. We were sold on owner Chef Michel Richard earning Michelin Stars in 2010, 2011, 2012 according to the resort literature. We are quickly believing this 2011 blurb on the internet to be more true — «Michel Richard actually has no Michelin stars. He was trained in Michelin-rated restaurants but has never been awarded.» I wish we were the type of people to send food back when it’s not perfect. This place LOVES to put sea salt on everything to the point that it completely ruins the dish. We had the fried chicken, beef burger, and house vinaigrette side salads. Even the salads had chunks of sea salt on top. I know it’s the hot seasoning, but ease up a bit. It was like we were eating salt licks with a hint of food. Sixty bucks, and a solemn swear never to settle for bad gourmet food again, we were out of there never to return.

The star of the show was Rebecca — our server, without her this would have been a truly terrible experience. When you’re prepared to drop $ 60 on lunch you’re not looking for run of the mill, you’re looking for a great experience and even better food. We ordered the clam chowder, chicken salad and croque Monsieur. The clam chowder was served in two parts, a bowl with a few clams and the soup component was in a jug. Neither were hot and the result was a tepid mixture of under cooked vegetables and a thick soup which was way too salty. The chicken salad wasn’t too bad but the tomatoes were very ripe and tasted off. Now for the worst part — the croque monsieur. How difficult can it be to put some sliced cheese and ham on some bread and cook it? This place managed to balls it up with ease. The ham was so cold that it felt frozen and the cheese was anything but melted. I sent it back and they replaced it with another that had some melted cheese but the ham was still cold. Based on this experience, I won’t be returning anytime soon.

We dined here for brunch while we went to visit Revel Resort during our trip to AC. I’ve dined at the location in DC for dinner once before, so I was eager to see what they had on their brunch/lunch menu. I ordered the fried chicken biscuit with sausage gravy(also comes with a side salad) and my boyfriend kept it simple with two eggs and homefries. I remember having the fried chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and thought it was delicious, so I HAD to get the fried chicken again for brunch… and every bite was AMAZING! The fried chicken was crisp and tender, the biscuit had a great buttermilk flavor, and the sausage gravy was to die for. The service throughout our meal was friendly and attentive. Although I opted out for a non-alcoholic drink this time around, they also have a huge bar area with almost every type of alcohol you can think of! I loved the idea of an open-air restaurant, it’s great for people watching and doesn’t make you feel claustrophobic. The restaurant itself literally also 10 steps away from the casino floor, which was also convenient for us since the rest of the resort is extremely spread out!(See my review for Revel Resort)

We ordered the Fried chicken and roasted chicken(Zzz. i know). And for the taste, I would say little on the salty side? Service was top notch and the place is like really clean overpriced open diner vibe.

The food was great, drinks were great — especially my first dirty martini with bleu cheese stuffed olives — everyone must order this! Second round came out without bleu cheese, but they didn’t let me know until I asked. Everything was great, but not exceptional. Maybe I’m just jaded by restaurants in Las Vegas casinos. I should just give it another try, it was my first visit to Atlantic City.

This place was pretty good, for being a fancy restaurant inside of a casino on the boardwalk. Since it was a crazy celebratory weekend at Revel in Atlantic City, we went larger than usual and ordered a ton of drinks– champagne, martinis, mixed drinks(there were a lot of us!). They have a ton of really great different burgers and I think between us we tried one of each of them. I split the lamb and chicken burger with a friend. They were both really good. Even though I love lamb, sometimes I hesitate getting lamb burgers because they can dry out pretty easily, but this one didn’t! The chicken burger was different-tasting enough to make it worth the money we spent on it. We spent a while there drinking and eating while waiting for our concert to start, and even though we must have been annoying– we were a big party and slightly tipsy by the end– our waiter was super nice. The place is too expensive for every day, but it was a great start to our night in AC! After dinner, we went to our concert, Kanye killed it, the guys spent too much time and money on the blackjack table, the girls went to the burlesque club, and we all woke up the next morning exhausted and with way too little money in our pockets. Ah, Atlantic City, how I love you!

I went here by default. I was craving Village Whiskey but they are apparently closed on tuesday which stinks. So, it was dead, super easy to get a table. The menu reminds me of metropolitan at borgata. Its a pretty basic standard menu. Nothing jumps out as being wow I must try that or oooooh. That being said I didn’t really feel like anything crazy. I knew I needed some veggies so I ordered the brussels sprouts. This is second time in less than two weeks I have been served overcooked almost mushy brussels! Which is a travesty in my opinion. I sent them back and exchanged them for the string beans. Which weren’t much of an improvement. I’m not even sure they were fresh, they very well could have been frozen. They were again a bit too done, but not as badly and had a more complex flavor. Yet, I still sprinkled some of my lemon on them. I ordered fish and chips because it was dreary out and it felt like a good sort of comfort food. Bland city. First off I was not served or offered vinegar. The fries were lackluster and not even piping hot, and they certainly were not chips. The tartar sauce was pretty good once you doused the fish in lemon and generously applied the sauce. The coating was tempura-esque, but softer. No taste. Bland. The fish had no taste either. The service was bizarre as well. Only go here if nothing is open. Oh and the bathroom floor was sticky…

Not sure where to start. I was at Revel for a couple of days for my birthday, a mini vacation with the family. I read excellent reviews on Unilocal and was excited to try this restaurant. It wasn’t hard to get a table at all. The chef(You can see and interact with the kitchen) was super nice. I ordered chef’s favorite dish on the menu and let’s just say I wasn’t impressed. I tried really hard to love this place and had a positive approach towards everything. My sea bass dish was probably one of my least favorite ever. My husband ordered lamb but regretted it. The waitress was super sweet and friendly but she forgot I couple of things throughout our dinner. The restaurant wasn’t full so we were really surprised by that. I’m adding one star for the amazing chocolate mousse desert I had. Very yummy! Revel has much better dining options. Will be skipping this one next time. Price was fine.

I had the Central Chicken Salad($ 16) for lunch. The ingredients were simple, and might have cost the restaurant less than a dollar: romaine lettuce; soft cubed chicken; mayonnaise; black pepper, and not much else. And I loved every bite. I finished every tasty molecule in my dish. The service was very friendly, and the bartender tried to engage me in chippy banter, but all he got in return was the gruff grunt of an animal unable to even glance up from his feeding bowl. If you don’t mind the overprice, this is an excellent place to go in the Revel. It easily beats anything in the Showboat next door.

Tasty Tasty Tasty. I would lick my plate if that wasnt déclassé. Ughhh so good i want more of the lamb burger more of filet mignon tar tar more salmon tar tar yea i like raw food… big deal Everything was wonderul here. We had a 930 reservation and the hostess informed us it would be another 10 – 15 min. We were like no big deal thats nothing, we can go gamble. But wait, she kindly offered us a round at the bar for any inconvience. I was sold after that. They treated a party of about 17 ladies to whatever we wanted. Very impressed. The service was amazing, even when the restaurant was packed. You never felt forgotten. If i could id give more stars, Unilocal work on that…

My friend and I went to Central Michel Richard last night, and our experience was terrific. It was over the top. Really. Food: I started with the tuna carpaccio which was refreshing and light. It wasn’t overwhelming. As a starter, it seemed large as a portion but all in all it was great. Next, my entrée was the short ribs. When I first saw the short ribs, I thought there wasn’t much food here. Man, I was wrong. The short ribs were thick, tender and tasty. My friend had the lamb shank which was awesome.(He beat me to it.) And the accompanying polenta was incredibly rich and tasty — «Hello, my name is Butter.» For dessert, I had the chocolate bar. One of the chefs told me to order it and guaranteed that I would like it. He wasn’t wrong — it’s like a combo Kit Kat/Nestle’s Crunch, but so… much…better. Believe me. My friend had a sorbet trio consisting of mango, raspberry and blueberry. Tasting the mango was like tasting a really ripe mango itself. The raspberry was really tart. My lips just puckered. And the blueberry was the most balanced and the best of the three. Atmosphere: Being inside a casino, it can be loud so knowing that, it’s a given that you aren’t paying for quiet conversation. Yes, it would have been nice to not have to speak over people to have myself heard. When I asked for our hostess’ name, I had to ask a couple times because I couldn’t hear her over the noise. Service: This is where I gave the 5th star. It started with our hostess Allison(remember how I had to ask for her name?). We came without a reservation and she told us there would be a wait which we expected. She gave us the option of waiting for a table at the main room or bar or chef’s table. We chose the chef’s table. We came back in about a half hour to check the status and were told there was no table available. We get about 10 feet out and Allison runs to track us down to tell us spots are available at the chef’s table. We eagerly went. We sat at the very end of the chef’s table where we’re looking directly inside the kitchen. As we’re eating dinner, we engaged in conversations with our server Jose and one of the chefs there, Halyut(spelling?). The chef was there finishing off the dishes before they get served. The chef was great and made our experience truly personal to us. He was also the one that guaranteed that I would like the chocolate bar. And even our hostess Allison came by to check in on us every now and again. Usually, my idea of great service has a sense of detachment. That is, it should be great without interfering with the guests who are eating. In this case, it was the service that complemented the whole experience and really engaged us. Being in a casino, my friend and I were not high rollers and thus were not privy to «deserve» such personal service so there was no way we were expecting the service that we received. We were so impressed that we talked to the manager on duty and passed on our compliments. We were that impressed.

Great menu at reasonable prices. Service could have been better, we had a few empty glasses needing refills and the waitress didn’t ask before leaving the table. The Mac & Cheese looks better than it tastes — take a pass.

Went here on a Monday evening for dinner, and seated right away since Revel is raging and soso busy on the weekend, with the weekdays being quite lighter. I have to say, everything about this place was nice. First time dining at a Central Michael Richard… I was happy hearing they opened one up in A. C because I’ve heard about them down in Washington DC and there was nothing but positive reviews. So being a frequent A. C visitor, I decided to visit their A. C location for a dining experience one night. The wait staff are professional, very friendly, and very good at what they do. Our waiter in particular addressed my date as «Madam» and shook our hands when we paid the bill. excellent service. Got our drinks and appetizer very quickly. It took a bit longer than usual for a slow night to get our entrees, but I didn’t mind, I was looking forward to a tasty meal. Anyway, I, being a large chicken fan, ordered their Fried chicken & garlic mashed potato dish. No sarcasm here when I say, BESTFRIEDCHICKENEVER. I savored every single bite, the size of the dish was just right, and the taste, absolutely phenomenal. They serve the chicken on top of the potatoes with a large side of honey mustard-like sauce. My date had the Salmon dish, and she said it was some of the best salmon she’s ever had. Not a bad bill either…2 people for $ 65(including my 25% tip) isn’t a bad A. C dinner tab at all. If you’re at Revel, definitely consider making a stop here for lunch or dinner… preferably on the weekdays because the weekends are pretty nuts and it’s necessary for you to have a reservation then. Anytime of day or night in A. C, ESPECIALLY if your a chicken fan, Central Michel Richard is the place to go.

We were seated right away bc there weren’t many people seated, asked what we wanted to drink by a waiter, a different waitress came back to ask us the same thing. We ordered new england clam chowder, it was okay, had a lot of clams in it but a little too salty. I ordered a chicken burger and my boyfriend ordered a corn beef sandwich… these two simple entrees took about an hour to come out… while we were waiting for these AFTER we finished the soup and I guess our waitress sensed our disappointment with the food taking so long so she came over and assured us that the soup that was already served, eaten, taken back was SOONTOCOME. So really she had no idea that it already came out. We said politely that we already had it, she laughed it off and left. We continued waiting… waiting. waiting…saw our food sitting on the counter for about 10 minutes too. We saw that people who came in after us were being served before us. The food finally comes out and my burger was good, no complaints on the food itself. My boyfriend finished his food before me and it was immediately taken from one of the waiters way before I was done with mine… lemons were taken away, my sauce was almost taken away and I clearly was no where near done with my food… rude. I don’t understand how the staff is so unorganized with everything when there were so many of them just standing around.
