I enjoyed this place on my birthday last year but they really never understood the word ‘capacity’ and would over cram this place.

I love the casino it’s in, Revel. It’s definitely a fancy club, it’s on the top floor so you have to take the elevator. And that means another line to wait in. I went to see Steve Aoki here, he didn’t show up until 130am played like 2 songs and the club was over, literally turned the lights on at 2 am. The bathroom situation is terrible. The only thing to be really happy in this club is to drop $ 1000 on a bottle and get a cabana and be comfortable. The downstairs bar is tiny so good luck getting a drink. And good luck using the upstairs bar period. They usually only let people that get the cabanas up stairs. Overall it isn’t worth it. $ 30 entrance for women and $ 60 for guys.

Farewell tour but no balloons :( A weekend with college friends in AC meant clubbing. We didn’t leave our hotel until past midnight, but we had already settled on taking on HQ at Revel. Given that it’s closing in two weeks, we figured it might be nice to go one last time. Unfortunately, our visit wasn’t overly memorable. First off, $ 40 cover? Even some of the nicer clubs in Miami don’t charge that much. I was hoping this money was going to bring on the best experience ever. Nope. It was a no name DJ, and the dance floor was unbelievably crowded. I spent half my night keeping grinding couples out of my personal space sliver. If you need at least a little wiggle room to party or t least want to enjoy your night with fiends without have to buy a table, I’d go elsewhere for the moment and let Revel slowly disappear.

I can’t even give them one star… but I guess I have to… I went with a bachelorette party and paid big bucks for bottle service. When I was on the elevator to go dance I was kicked out for being«too drunk» at the time. I’m sorry, but I didn’t know it was«too drunk» to chat with someone on an elevator. He worked there, I lost a best friend a month ago, and I shared my life story. He seemed like a great dude to chat with, and then he suddenly was telling me I had to leave. To make it short, I paid a huge sum of money, they didn’t let me return to bottle service, I was kicked out, etc. F*** HQ, I will never go back to that club. Have a heart and understand your clientele.

Came to party on a Friday night and Sander Van Doorn was the guest DJ for the night. I’ve heard stories of how Revel was always empty and the club parties weren’t great, but to my surprise my experience here was the opposite! Sander Van Doorn didn’t come on until 1am, but from the time we got in at 11pm until 1am, the club was packed, the music was awesome and the crowd was absolutely dressed to impress big time! When Sander came on, the place just exploded and the party really blew up. The entire crowd was raving and the energy just took off from there. Even when standing towards the back, Sander was very visible too. He played for at least 2 hours before we left. As for the crowd, the case can be made alot of the people in there were probably not the coolest people to be around, but to me that’s every club. Despite the $ 40 charge, it was worth every penny to be in there that night.

I just recently had my first experience in AC, at Revel and at HQ. I saw Nervo DJ last night and it was an awesome experience. The only thing that bothered me was that they didn’t come out until almost 2 am. By that time I’m tired from all the drinking but thankfully I had a second wind. Other things to note: if you don’t have a table bought, make friends with people that do. The dance floor gets crowded so if you don’t have a table it feels like a college bar with too many underage people on it(or at least that’s definitely how it looked). Bathrooms are kept clean and drinks are priced what you expect them to be.

Been here once with my group of friends on a Friday night. Bought the tickets in advance online so we could avoid the wait line when we get there which was awesome! We decided to go in 30 mins after it opens so we can grab a drink and dance spot before it gets really crowded. The drinks were made pretty good here I must say! Love their Cosmo, just the way I like it! DJs started spinning but it wasn’t the ones that we’re featuring as they advertised. Clubbed for about 2hr ish and was still waiting for the correct djs to come out. Got fed up with it and left for the night to hit another club.

Yes — you will be impressed when you first walk in. This club seems almost like you are in Vegas, with girls in their skank wear and guys all suited up. But don’t let first impressions fool you. My girl fiends and I were ‘escorted’ out(I.e. Kicked out) due to over intoxication. After each of us had 2 drinks at the bar and were swaying to the music. No — the epic ness of the night that should have happened hasn’t even started yet, we were just started to get in the mood when we were escorted out. Could it be that we were a group of colored women? Probably. This is absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at a nightclub. As we were leaving Revel /a man whipped out his privates and made obscene comments towards my girl fiends and I. Needless to stay — I do not recommend this place to anyone.

First time at this venue and came to see above & beyond. There were three different lines(general admission, VIP, and presale tickets). Since we bought tickets online our line moved pretty fast. I didn’t understand why they had to stamp us when we were not allowed re-entry. Got into an elevator and were taken to the balcony floor. We got lucky and nabbed a spot in front and had a clear view of the dj. The bottom floor was completely packed and can only imagine how sweaty it must have been to dance with no space. One of my friends thought about doing bottle service but at $ 2500, it was not worth it. Drinks run from $ 12 – 15 and be careful about counting your change cause one of the bartenders shorted my friend. Overall a pretty nice nightclub with super clean bathrooms. Guess that’s why tickets cost so much money.

*LADIESBEWARE* The men that go here are aggressive and WILLGRABYOURGOODIES. Most people were really high and spilling drinks everywhere. Slippery dance floor plus endless flights of stairs to and from HQ ruined my Louboutin heels. Bloody hell! Obnoxiously loud house music was playing all night. Whatever happened to good olé grinding to the music hip-hop??? I prefer dry humping over bopping my head up & down until I get a headache.

One of the most overrated nightclubs I’ve ever been too. I was shocked about how unimpressive this place is. It’s not luxurious, it doesn’t feel like Las Vegas at all, which is what I thought Revel would want to go for. An excessive amount of staircases creates a dangerous situation for drunk people, especially women in heels. Watched a girl take a spill on my way out, no security personnel even around to help her up. You’re basically forced to do bottle service, because the bar is as soon as you walk in, so you are basically in everyone’s way and nowhere near the action of the party. Wack. Drinks are close to $ 20, but at least they are strong, i’ll give them that. $ 40 cover charge even on a basic night. Mixx and MurMur are both way better nightlife options in AC. In no rush to return…

Overrated. $ 20 – 25 cover for girls, God only know how much it costs for guys. Typical club layout: lights, VIP seating, EDM music, overpriced drinks, etc. LADIESBEWARNED: WEARCOMFORTABLESHOES! IT’S A HIKETOTHETOP(literally). At one point, my friends and I got separated, so In hopes of trying to find them, I drunkenly climbed the 5 stories(YESFIVE) to the balcony. Apparently that was VIP only section? But I just walked right in… and wound up at a VIP table with a group of handsome black cops. No joke. If their pool club is anything like their nightclub, I advise you to waste your money at a slot machine rather than here. The(only) pro: Large enough club to dance around comfortably. But then again, you can do that at your house for free… in socks.

After reading reviews, I didn’t know what to expect at HQ. I was on the guest list. The guest list and regular entrance lines are separate. Once you’re in the door, customers can wait for the elevators or take the stairs into the club. The stairs can be a journey for women with heels. I used my 6 ft 6 frame and long legs to climb 5 steps at a time. I had no problem getting up the stairs. HQ has two levels. The bottom level gets crowded a lot faster than the top level. We were at the bottom level and moved up to the top. From the top level you can see over the entire club. The bar at the top wasn’t as crowded as the bar below. Laidback Luke was the guest DJ for the night. He did an excellent job mixing house and hip hop music(great sound system). I’m definitely a fan of Laidback Luke. The staff was very professional handling the guest list line(VIP Host). HQ is modern and well maintained. The hours are extended longer than most clubs. I enjoyed my night of partying at HQ Nightclub.

I’m not a fan. I went to HQ on Sunday, September 1 to see Sultan and Ned Shepard spin. Pros: + Swift line if you buy pre-sale tickets(highly recommended) + Good sound system + Consistent DJ lineup + 2 floors: from the upstairs, you’re seeing inside the club and from downstairs, you’re «in» the club Cons: — 5+ flights of stairs to walk up(Ladies, you’ve been warned!) — When you’re finally at the top of the stairs at the entrance, there’s a wait to go inside — You have to stand in another line to access downstairs — eventually all downstairs access was cut off and they weren’t letting anybody in — 30+ minutes to get drinks at the bar upstairs because there were only two bartenders and tons of patrons — Went outside to the patio and was told to wait«15 minutes» before coming back inside — Elevator access can only be used to leave the club — No re-entry Atlantic City, nice try… but you’re no Vegas. I probably won’t come back here again unless it’s a special occasion.

I really didn’t know what to expect coming here since it was my first time in Atlantic City. The hotel Revel that HQ Nightclub sits in is very nice. The entrance of the hotel was grand and the escalators led us to this club. I paid a $ 30 cover fee. At first I didn’t think it was that worth but I ended up having a lot more fun than I thought I would. They had lots of lights/confetti, an Elmo, and good music. The vibe was good and the temperature was controlled well. I couldn’t ask for more in a club experience with some good friends. I highly recommend this nightclub in Atlantic City. I guess take that with a grain of salt though since I haven’t been to all the cool clubs in this gambling city.

If you are going to play EDM then you need a bigger dance floor. I understand that the Revel wants to use all of that real estate on thousand dollar bottle service, but when you are playing hours of lyricless club music and there isn’t room for people to dance, they just sort of stand there pressed up against one another and twitch with the music. The place seemed kinda soulless. I was able to get to either of the two bars without any hassle even though the place was super crowded. Which wasn’t expected, but a nice plus. It was nice to be able to go out onto the rooftop garden now and again. I also liked the freaky looking dancers up on the catwalk. Though, I wouldn’t call it «dancing,» more like emulating the slow twitching that the club goers were doing below. A lot of «Jersey Shore» clientele, but not more than I would expect at a place like this. While if I were looking for reviews of dance clubs, I might not trust my review, as I am not an avid club goer. I definitely preferred the club at the Borgata over HQ.

I have gone to HQ twice and was able to get on the guest list so I only had to pay a $ 20 cover(no, does not include a drink). Get there early, the line gets long. I went with a group of friends as soon as they opened for the night and since it was early and empty, I got my hand stamped and walked out to hang out at The Social. After another hour or so I was able to skip the line and get dancing with my girlfriends. Pros: Good music and variety of DJs. EC Twins are my favorite! They give out HQ glasses and glow sticks which I find fun. Actually, the HQ glow stick is very bright and I was able to use it for a few days when I lost power at home due to Hurricane Sandy, so thank you HQ! Cons: You can get water, but you have to pay $ 7 because they only offer Fiji bottled water. I understand I am at a club in AC and drinks and cover will be expensive, but really you can’t give me free glass of water after I already ordered 5 cocktails? Also, the main dance floor of the club is small. Unfortunately most of the current club space is taken up by tables for bottle service. I am anticipating the completion of HQ. I hear once it’s finished there will be multiple floors with different music and an outdoor area. Hopefully this gets completed soon!

been here several times in the past year and gotta say~ probably my favorite nightclub on the east coast right now. Love: high ceiling, AWESOME sound system, international DJs, free glow sticks, nice décor, clean bathrooms(upstairs ladies room rarely has a line) Hate: SUPER crowded. kinda pricey(but in their defense, i paid $ 16 for a jagarbomb? it was like a double shot sooo it evens out, sorta?) if you’re a big EDM fan, you gotta hit up one of the shows at HQ. the quality is superb~ might be the best you’ll get on east coast! tip: stuff your wallet with all the dough you got! you’re partying with the high rollers, dun expect a cheap night at HQ…

Pros: — upper level balcony you can get away from the over-crowded main dance floor — awesome music, the DJ’s do a good job — unique house dancers that wear exotic costumes like Lady Gaga — drinks are served in large plasic cups(i dont like plasic cups for $ 10 drinks, but these were good since they were 16oz cups, you get alot for your money!) — cool view of the beach from the floor to ceiling windows Cons: — $ 30/$ 40 cover charge, and hard time getting on a guest list — No discounted cover if you arrive before 11pm(all other AC clubs offer this!) — walking up 5 flights of stairs is redic! — elevator broke when i was there — way too crowded, you will wait a half hour in line at the bar for drinks(downstairs bar. Upstairs bar is a little better). — Too many VIP tables, leaves little room for GA dancing — Long line, and bouncers are not very friendly — disgusting bathrooms I’m glad I experienced HQ, overall I had a fun night. I love clubs and dancing. But after my night at HQ, I definately like Mur. mur, Mixx, and Dusk MUCH better. Even the Pool at Harrah’s I like better, for the mere fact of more space, and less wait for drinks.

Disclaimer: –I love Vegas style clubs –I love to be ‘that guy’ at a table at clubs. I’m 30. I’m not waiting on line for an hour and mushing onto a dance floor. –I did not pay for my table this night: D That being said… Had a bombbbbbbb a$$ time here! It took a 5-min phone call to reserve a table on the dance floor. Yes, there was a pricey table minimum, but not anything that you wouldn’t find at any other decent club, even in AC.(Note: DONOT buy a mezzanine table.) There was no name DJ that night, but the place was still packed and the music was great. The other people in our section were cool and the security guards were having fun with the rotating cast of females we were bringing around to our table(before you call me a dou$he, I’m aware 90% of these girls were just using us for drinks so I think we’re even). They have a great DJ setup where big names could come and play and really get the crowd going. Big screen, fog machine, confetti, etc. It died down around 2:30, we bounced at 3 and I woke up fully clothed. Good times indeed. If you like clubs, Vegas or EDM, this is the place to be in AC.
