Casual café dining at all hours. You might have some trouble finding this place, as it’s behind a wall beyond the sub and pizza shops. It’s well worth a visit though. Fresh fruit cups, some pastries, bagels, you’ll find them here.

A necessity for casinos, this one at Bally’s. A bit of everything. Coffee, juices, Red Bull, water, milk… Pastries, chips, bagles, sandwiches, subs, salads, cereals.. A hodgepodge of many thigs, so almost anyone can find something enticing. It was early, a cheese bagles with cam cheese, did it for me. The bagles was fresh & pretty good. I have to admit most of what I saw looked good. Can’t speak of the taste, only of what I ate. What’s a girl to do? Gambling, drinking, not much sleep… gotta slip the body some food to run on.

Tasty coffee to get you going in the morning after an all night bender of gambling, booze, strippers, oil wrestling, and paragliding off the roof of Bally’s. Not much of a huge selection here but they do offer some pastries, bagels, and breakfast type items to munch on. Get your head straight man! There’s another day of debauchery to be had! As with many of these casino spots it can be a bit pricey. Lines can be long depending on what time you stumble over especially in the morning. Seems the staff here on the day I was being tortured with a lengthy line weren’t smart enough to make a separate quick line for those who just wanted to grab a quick coffee over those ordering all kinds of food items that needed to be prepared or heated up. Don’t make me wait on a long ass line when I’m hungover and need massive amounts of caffeine. So wrong.

This café is extremely overpriced and that’s my biggest issue. Charging $ 3.50 for some damn 25% juice. Had the menu been placed in a place where it’s viewable(behind the counter), then I would’ve saw that garbage was almost $ 4 and left it there. I also ordered a lox bagel which I was craving and a glazed doughnut. The doughnut was tasty in an ordered in bulk type of way and the lox bagel definitely hit the spot. They give you a lot for $ 5 and some change(including the bagel). I had enough to come back the next day and order just a bagel and use the rest of the spread. Call me whatever you want but I don’t waste lox spread lol. It’s the best cream cheese spread ever and had decent chunks of salmon in it. Service was not memorable.

For a taste of home, I came here for breakfast before I had to leave to go back to New York. I liked the system where you could place your order at a computer so you hope it would be done by the time to you pick up– wrong. There was only one woman working to make all the food. She did not know a lot of English, so that was a problem. She gave me the wrong change for some reason, even when I had a receipt printed out for her to look at. It took way too long to get two breakfast sandwiches and a bottle of water. Many people(including me) were not happy with the wait. Unfortunately though, this is probably the only place that costs way less for food than the restaurants in Bally’s. Come at your own risk.

I inevitably end up with comp dollars at the end of my Atlantic City visits, and usually end up spending them here just before heading back to NY. Since Corner Café is owned/operated by Bally’s, they accept 1:1 comp dollars, a much better deal than getting half your money’s worth at most other places(Johnny Rockets, etc.) As with most hotel coffee/breakfast/donut shops, this place is a tad pricey depending on what you’re ordering. They have fresh, large bagels, with individual packets of cream cheese for $ 3.25, which isn’t terrible considering they’re either baked on site, or locally sourced. As for the similarly-priced egg sandwiches, those are more like something you’d find at a 7 – 11 or gas station. They’re pre-wrapped, refrigerated, made with those egg«patties,» and tossed in the microwave right before they hand it to you. That’s not really my type of meal, but to each his own. They’ve got a variety of coffees, ranging from your traditional brew to lattes, cappuccinos, flavored, and frozen drinks. Again, prices are on the Starbucks end, but I don’t mind paying a few bucks for something I can’t easily make at home(cappuccino, etc.) Since I’m almost always using comped dollars here, I find myself looking for stuff to add to my order so the free money doesn’t go wasted… If you’re on the run, or just looking for a quick, no frills breakfast or drink, head over to the Gateway Shops area between Bally’s and Claridge and stop here. Corner Café is far enough from the casino floor, so it’s easy to bring back to your room, to your car, or to the boardwalk…
